Ok my gertie Mcfirty’s i saw my fabulous GP (between our patients) on friday and she took bloods for all sorts of stuff - Hb infection stuff and a few tunmour markers - so now sweat till monday then huh?
Mrs Mc - but in here, we love to chat on here. My eyebrows went after my first tax and still arent back properly yet 6months down the line - my eye lashes went and disappeared 10 weeks later only to come back again?? go figure

hey girlies not been on here for ages… been away in london for a long weekend, then belgium for a long weekend and then had a manic couple of days redecorating my lounge for my new suite which came on friday, then rushed off to glasgow for my leaving night drinkies with my old colleagues.

hey gobi girls i dont have the gobi problem, but you could ask for vagifem oestrogen pessaries which can help… they are topical so only very little would be absorbed and its thought that its not enough to affect recurrence of hormonal cancers… so even with highly ER/PR positive tumours it should still be ok.
in england and wales i figure you can get KY and lubrication on your free prescription, but in scotland if there is a sexual health clinic near you that offers c card you should be able to get lubrication free of charge.
rach with regards to the bleeding, within a few months of when i first started the tamoxifen i had terrible heavy bleeding and flooding, was seen by gyn and had hysteroscopy and d and c (and got mirena put in) all was fine, but would def recommend getting a check up… good luck with all your results huni x.
mrs mc… i didnt have tax but had epi-cmf… my lashes didnt completely fall out till i started the cmf bit and eyebrowbs just lessened but never went completey although they were a bit Subo-ish to start with. lashes grew back lovely and long but are still pretty brittle and keep falling out intermittently… think maybe due to my dry eyes.

God it’s been months since i posted on here but have been in touch with you all on fb and as you know i think of you all the time as you all mean so much to me and have helped me so much through this journy, Thank you so so so much.

I have my mammo on tuesday but have been told by my lymph nurse not to have it on my right boob because of my lymphodema but instead to have a ultra sound. I’m quite happy with this as the mammo last time never showed by tumour anyway!!!
Can i ask Lulu/Rach a medical question? I had a MRI recently would it show up any lumps and bumps in other breast? Reason i ask is that i can feel something but wonder if what i feel is normal!

I text pixie the other day - she is well; off camping in the lakes (mad thing) and then off to a wedding - she is still having internet probs.
Cheers for the advice Lulu - in wales they dont prescribe oestrogen cream or pessaries for E2 receptor positive BC neither do they use mirena IUS if you have E2 +ve BC- just an assembly thing i think!But re the bleeding I should get my blood results back tomorrow - I am concerned with the heavy pain, swollen lower abdo and back ache - they did a ca125 (blood test)which could still be elevated because of my BC - I also have a bit of cervical (womb) tenderness (checking coil threads) anyhow will see more this week
i also have an appt for my mamo on friday (in my lunch time) - but trying to concentrate on my exam so putting Bc stuff out of my head until a week on wed!!!

back to work this week for me girlies, some normality for me…bit scared though…sure it will be fine

hey there. ive been reading this thread but not really wanting to post!head in sand and all that.
All well with me. Been at work 8wks now and loving a 2 day week. My first mammo came back clear but i have a very sore boob which is irritating but i assume its working and rads damage.
My periods are slowing down on tamoxifen. Still to the day but lighter. The first 3mths was hell. So painful i thought i was miscarrying and spoke to the dr! Takes time to settle i guess.
Did race for life last weekend in 41 mins so that was good!

Sorry, just a quickie. Have just been to the hospital for my first Zoladex injection: OWWWWW. A huge needle into my tummy where they inserted an implant. Supposed to go through that once a month; eff that for a lark. Gonna get ovaries removed ASAP.
Sorry Caro - but I have to laff (not at you my honey)I did say you needed some meat on you for that bloody injection - it awful isnt it!!! get them ovaries out honey.

All test results back and I’m fine according to my results - still on my period tho! will it stop intime for my hols at the end of the month??? I wonder ???

My chemo vein often aches and appears raised still.
Ive just come back from butlins ( which macmillan paid for!) and it bloody rocked! loved it.

my veins are still a bit knackered too julie but not quite as bad as they were at the start but still give me loads of problems and its a complete nightmare trying to get blood from me now as they are so rubbish.
