I am sooooo impressed with you guys, painted lecherous old boozers! My tats are on my ankles and feet, on the outside left I have 4 cherry blossoms all twined together with greenery and on the inside right 4 free hand purple pink and yellow butterflies skimming through multicoloured stars and dots.
I was aiming for a big design of a butterfly or humming bird on my lower back in May of this to celebrate the of a very hard 2 year masters course in advanced clinical nursing pratice but unfortunatley i was Dx with the blasted BC 4-5 weeks before my final exam and had to step out for the next academic year! still I aim to finish the course next year May and I know the exams will not be as worrying as i previously thought; as nothing can compare to the agony of waiting for Bc results can it?
Now I fancy a phoenix cos thats what we are girls; the most beautiful of birds ever, rising above the flames and ashes of the past into to a fabulous future. And according to JK Rowling the tears of the phoenix can heal - oh look at me going all soppy on you!

Egg on toast sounds fab. I had peanut butter on toast - my current favourite. Wasn’t allowed it for the 9 months of pregnancy and then the 8 months of breastfeeding, so loving it all the more now lol!
Taking my baby to his friend’s first birthday party later - should be fun as it’s nice and sunny here so hopefully we will all be outside. Hmm, wonder if I should take a bottle of wine??

I have two tats. First I got aged 40, a lion cub looking over a log. At the time it was me making a sort of statement about ‘emerging’ as a person. The second one is a green and black celtic design and is more in your face. I love it. Would really like another…

Am I the only person in our gang who doesn’t have a tattoo?? I can’t believe how uncool I feel!!! Right, that’s my next mission; even though I’ve always hated tattoos! I think I might get something on the back of my neck now I’ve got short hair (soon to have no hair), then I can always grow my hair again and cover it over if I don’t like it!
Pixielox; you are an inspiration to all!! Thought I had a good weekend, as my brother came to visit and all I did was get hammered and eat cr*p; but the latest I stayed up was 1am, which seems pretty feeble compared to you!!!
Alex; the best cure for a hangover is to get drunk! I feel pretty rough myself today, but a few glasses of wine this evening will soon sort me out 
Rach; egg on toast sounds really appealing. Unfortunately I don’t have any eggs, so will have to settle for a bag of crips and some chocolate biscuits!!

caro, your not the only one in our gang without tattoos, i havn’t got one but what the heck, lets get one. My 20 year old daughter has 4. She recently designed a butterfly with the body being the pink breast cancer ribbon, it’s so delicate and pretty and is now on my daughters foot in my honour, i was so moved that she had that done for me.
I wish i fancied a drink but i don’t. need to make the most of feeling better. As for eating rubbish, bet i can beat you all on that one, off to get my big bag of revels…

ok…maybe the weekend revellery went a little too far! Ended up at emergency docs last nite with hight temp - sore throat and wee infection. Recon the sore throat is due to shouting over all the load music and think i maybe got rather dehydrated on sunday after all the booze! On antibiotics now and feeling a bit shadey!! That’ll teach me! (actually it probably wont!)
By the way - has anyone else’s hair stopped falling out? I havent lost anymore since this second cycle - just got baldy bits at back and top of head and one bald armpit (unfortunately not the right one!!!). Very strange - seems cold cap worked after all, just - one cycle later!!

I would be willing to volunteer to deal with any Coffee Revels creating difficulty - I’m very considerate like that. You know how when there’s only one cream cake left on the plate, and everyone is worrying about being the one to take it, knowing they’d feel guilty? I am always willing to take that guilt upon myself, to spare my friends the agony of it.

also like you pauline im off booze and have only had 4 alcoholic drinks since i started chemo.
i always said id never get another tattoo cos it was so sore and im a big woose but quite fancy getting one on my foot… but something small lol
got to join in again! i have 2 tatoos, a rose at the top of my thigh, 40th birthday! and chinese symbol on my shoulder which is supposed to say love, who knows could say egg fried rice!!!
I never told my mum or dad!! my daughter has stars on her foot, love the sound of yr daughters one Pauline!
will now have to buy revels, ate a packet of planets yesterday and jelly worms!! Diet has totally gone to pot!
But on the good side feeling better!!

Well my beautiful blond lab has come into the kitchen with a skinned nose, a cut above her rt eye and a very shameful expression on her pretty face - either shes fallen over (very likely as she has four left paws and finds staying up right hard!) or shes come off worse with some inoffensive woodland creature (equally likely having been chased away by a very angry grey squirrel - she is very timid)! Poor darling looks worse than me! So cuddles for both of us!
Oh Pixie next time take more water with the booze! Still think your great girl… can’t they give you some abx (antibiotics) to keep you healthy over these weekend parties? If you had a picc line you could have a couple of bags of IV saline and re-hydrate over night! I have a very naughty story about a junior doc who did just that on my night shift! but thats for another time.
Well I have cancelled my half term hols to centre parcs in Oct (sob sob) but guess what i had insurance - don’t even remember taking it out! DOH! So shud get the deposit back I hope.
So now I am looking through the web for a very hot resort in Feb half term - ideas please ladies…Is egypt hot in feb? Don’t fancy canaries but will go if hot!

It’s been raining for TWO DAYS SOLID here in dismal Plymouth; I’m about to get the razor blades out (or a bottle of wine. Mind you, Revels/cream cakes sound pretty good too). Still no word from the oncologist, not that I’m in any rush to start chemo mind!

Rach I too am planning a hot holiday in Jan/Feb. I’d definitely recommend the Caribbean at that time of year, as don’t think Egypt or Canaries guaranteed to be hot then, and the flight to the Carib is only about 8 hours. I’ve been to Antigua the last 2 years at that time and the weather was perfect (as were the fully inclusive cocktails all day and night!!). The only other option for guaranteed heat and short flying time is somewhere like Gambia (only 6 hours), but it’s nowhere near as nice as Antigua.

Hey ladies
Quite an eventful trip to the simulator for me. OH kindly (HAHA) drove me and he is a strange soul, prone to attacks of road rage. Picture this one - idiot in silver car cuts OH up. OH shouts "W**k*r at top of voice while making suitable gesticulations. Idiot in other car brakes in front of us. Idiot then pulls on to lane 1 and as OH speeds up Idiot decides a wee race is in order. I start screaming my lungs out and uttering countless expletives while glaring at Idiot driving parallel to us. Thought I was not going to live long enough to have SIM session. Was not best pleased - took me about half an hour to calm down. Needless to say SIM session was a breeze in comparison.
Met Shenagh who is just beautiful and fab. Sadly didn’t get to meet lulu as times were a bit off. SIM session followed by some retail therapy and Swedish meatballs at Ikea, so not too bad when all’s said and done.
Of course am sporting my new pin size tats lol. After we are all finished treatment we should all go and get a new tat!
