Darling buddies from May - moving on

Hi,
brrrrrr chilly night again after some lovely sun this afternoon. Well I am on holiday from school for the week and don’t go back until Tues as a bonus  Victor and I are trying to get on with stuff in the house. Victor is building a window seat and I am trying to find the floor where I throw spare jumpers, etc during the working week! We recived a nice sum for the stolen bikes after a worrying spell when we thought they wouldinsist we had 2 more new ones. i pointed out that he has a car now and does not need one let alone 2 bikes. Anyway a good outcome and son got over £400 so very pleased with himself. He plans to buy a double bed for his room, which means I can move his bed into the spare room. The bed has a small one matching that fits underneath it so handy for little chaps and other visitors. This put me into a dangerous buying mood and I have not been off the computer apart from to take mum shopping. Oh yes that was shopping too ha ha. Anyway we have a lovely new highchair on its way for the babies to sit in when here. I have ordered a load of stuff from mothercare and I have been on the computer all evening looking for a large house to rent during easter. They all want a heated pool which is proving difficult unless I want to pay a huge amount for one week and I don’t. The internet is great but hunting for things takes so long :frowning: My eyes are stinging so giving up today.
Enjoy your weekend wherever you are
Lily x

Lily I hope you have found your floor! It is a long time since I had that problem with the kids. I am afraid I have always beed tidy but it makes life easy for me now that I am a bit frail and OH has no excuse for not hoovering the carpets as all ready for action!
Peacock sorry to hear about your fractured ribs. There is notheing they can do for them either except rest. I hope you are being kept comfortable with some pain relief. So pleased you have got the water problem sorted out at last. Nothing worse as it affects everything you do.
Everyone, it isn’t that cold here at all. I was out in the garden as usual filling my birdfeeders and was just wearing a thin fleece…oh and trousers of course! When it gets really cold here I wear very sexy black thermals…vest and leggings under my clothes. So if you want a heat up come up here to warmer Scotland. I can even offer you a large piece of carrot cake wilt creamed cheese and icing filling and some walnuts on top. Too busy…oh well will eat it ourselves.
I am going to phone my BC Nurse as I am thinking of asking if I can delay my chemo which I am due to start on Friday…until I get my scan results. The reason is that since my Bloods I am feeling so much more comfortable and the patches I have for my lower back are making me much more comfortable. So I think things have changed so wonder if I can hold off until later. Hope this makes sense.
My daughter in France text me last night to say her email address had been hacked and not to open any mail from her. Don’t know anymore but deleted one this morning from her email address. Anyone else had this and what happens now?
Sunny periods here today and cloudy at times too. OH is making a curry sauce to go with some left over roast chicken. I hope he knows what he is doing…if not I may need to eat cake! Love to you all, Val

Oh Val, you are cruel… carrot cake and curry sauce, yummy, very jeleous. Well diet going well and had 2 glasses of wine all week, much improved on two bottles me thinks, better loose weight this week before pre-op in Newcie on Thursday.

Val, good luck with BCN hope you get the result you want. Warmish here too well about 2 degrees but sooooo foggy can’t see more than a couple of yards. I havent had my email hacked but know lots who have.

Lily, oh even more jeleous about your shopping sounds fun. Easter heated pool vacation sounds fab.

Nicky, hope you are having a lovely romantic weekend and have no knicker accidents lol!!

Carole, yippppeee re hot water fab news you will be busy as now. Hope the rib gets sorted. are you on arminidex or something as I know that can cause bone thinning and I have had lots of bone aches since starting them.

No goss her being a hermit so dont eat too much but brother set up my wee tv in jewellery making room so ended up on a roll last night making new bits to play with till 3am… busy today trying to sort things before hospital.

Speak later

Hi,
Lisa can you let us know your timetable of appointments. So Thursday is pre-op for a visit for bloods, etc I assume? Then what day do you go in? Do you have much else left to do, or is it just books, snacks and drinks? I remember my pal loving capri sun as she could drink them in her laying down position easier. Also take something for your feet as they get cold when you are not moving much. I hate how hospitals just use light covers so I would take a big dressing gown to go on the bed too. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will all go ahead this time, after all the other ridiculous things they have said to you. I think I still have your mob to chat while in there but will check. Just keep being good and well done for the reduced alcohol you want your liver firing on all cylinders and without any headaches. Take care and steer clear of people with colds!
Val, well you tried but you didn’t make me feel guilty about the mountain of clothes on the floor. They like being there lol. I have always let the family have their rooms exactly how they want them, their territory, (I could hardly expect them to do what I didn’t myself), which was very messy with mad cleaning spells when even they thought they were bad. Son never got to that stage of thinking it looked bad but was quizzed by his friends and gave into peer pressure. One of his friends is a little ocd and lives in a house where everything runs like clockwork. I can never decide whether his fascination with our totally different lifestyle is through admiration or horror ha ha.He does keep asking to move in but I don’t think he would be able to stand it for long  Victor is much tidier but has mostly given up on us. Well i was glad to read that you still remember to put your trousers on to go out, especially after what Nicky does!! The cake sounded yummy yum. I guess dealying the chemo depends on what triggered you to start it again. If it was starting due to increased activity then it would seem prudent to slow/stabilise it but if it was for pain relief and you feel better now, then definitely wait a little while and enjoy yourself. I hope they let you do as you wish and you can have some nice trips out. Keep us posted how you get on. The hacking usually passses viruses on and wrecks your system so be careful. Some send things to everyone in the address book and if for example you open it, then they try to infect everyone you email to. A teacher at school had it and it sent us all rather rude things, which was embarassing as it went to everyone he had ever emailed!!Just make sure your security is up to date and if in doubt don’t open it.
Well I managed to take Victor out shopping today, the mood goes on  We bought a new central light for the dining room. I can’t believe how hard it is to find the right bulbs though, there are millions of them and mostly other customers had chucked them everywhere in B & Q. I also bought 2 nice table lamps for the lounge, which is the last thing I needed to do. He had to come home to recover after that ha ha. Everyone came round for dinner which was lovely. What a problem, I don’t know which baby to hold and then little chap to chat to. I just want to keep them all to myself :0)
Take care
Lily x

ha Lily what a problem to have eh!! Loving the shopping spree, my pay day on Thursday so hoping to get some birthday pressies sorted and mothers day etc. before I’m out of action. Pre-op is 3 hours, do heart scans and bloods etc. and usually take pictures of all my bits, the joys eh!!! fingers crossed all go and will update you all on weight loss on Wednesday, there had better be some.

So, I am off to bed puffy eyed, just watched ps. I love you and it’s close to my heart but has me howling everytime, it’s nowhere near as good as the book which had be switching between howling with laughter and crying buckets by the pool lol! Still gets be each time, anyone else watch it?

Better go, happy Monday all, especially Lily who will enjoy no work, jeleous x

Morning ladies
Just caught up with all the news as you were right OH and I had been away for the weekend, I don’t like to say much before we go, you never know who’s reading! That’s my very suspicious mind having worked in computers most of my life! Which also relates to the hacking. As Lily says, don’t open any emails that you are not sure about, delete immediately and also get your daughter to change her password on her mail account as well as setting a password for when she logs on to her computer, if she hasn’t got one set already. Also check she has some security software installed. They still get through at times but these things should help.
Lisa, good luck for later in the week when you have to display all lol, I’m sure all the tests will be fine and then it’s the end of Feb isn’t it for your op? Keep positive xxxx
Lily, all that spending even puts me to shame ha ha. Sounds lovely though all the bits for your baby boys. As to the messy-ness, I’m with val on this as you know, slightly OCD I expect but not overly, I hope! I do let my girls keep their rooms as they want as I gave up tidying up after them about 10 years ago when ED in particular got so messy. However I do make them tidy up all their things they leave hanging around the house as that does drive me crazy, especially when they can’t find it the next time they need it!
Val, sounds like a good plan having a chat about your chemo. I know what you mean about putting it off and if you really are feeling so much better it could be good to leave it for a while. All your cooking sounds lovely, yum!
P, so glad that Mr P did come to the rescue and rig up some protection for the pipes. I bet you’ve been in heaven having the water back an , and being about to get the washing done, it’s funny how we hate it when we have to do it but hate it when we can’t!
Hi to Bev and Senda, hope all is well with you both, and Chris (Dipstick) who I’ve seen is starting her chemo this week :frowning:
Well, OH and I had a lovely break in the Cotswolds this weekend, went on Friday and came back yesterday. So cold, frosty but very sunny on Saturday and had a fab walk to a local viewing tower. I took a photo from the top and the hill below looked like a ski slope so I think I’m going to joke with my D’s that we went skiing without them lol. A lovely day, really fresh air and nicely cold. Yesterday wasn’t so good weather wise but we still got out for another walk in the morning and then gradually headed home, stopping in a couple of other villages on the way which were all so pretty and very picture postcard. We had a lovely break and we now get into a very busy time with OH doing a lot of work travel and then into March with busy times ahead for YD and my big birthdays! So it’s on with the ironing for me and catching up on things I didn’t do over the weekend.
Have a lovely week ladies, especially Lily enjoying her week off.
Nicky xxx

Sounds lovely Nicky very jeleous, not about the ironing though.

Hope everyone is having a warmer week.

Well just finished my appraisal for tomorrow and next week is my last week with op being on 28th, arrggghhh, god my tummy turns whenever I think about it, but occupying myself have a class of 13-14 yr olds to learn how to do jewellery on friday, why I volunteer for these things i dont know, and found some new bits to try out as i recover when I have the energy, some braiding kimohomo (something like that) and nomination beads to have a go with, of course practice on myself first, my bead supply will reduce dramatically when I can wear necklaces again, roll on, think positive.

Night all, better copy incase bumpy is around xx

Hi,
Lis you were safe I am busy marking coursework and wanted to keep going while I had everything laid out in order. Pup is dismayed that I haven’t scooped her up for bed and is giving me meaningful looks between snoring her head off. She flops just like babies and is then out for the count. if I tried to get her to walk now, she would just fall over! Good plan to sort the pressies out early. Will you be puting the picture of your bits on here for us  Good luck with your weigh in, maybe you cried a few more pounds off after watching the film! You never know.Concentrate on the good times now and not on the tougher ones coming, they will get here eventually no matter what.
Nicky sounds like you had a lovely trip. Were you in a hotel? It does pay to be cautious online I agree. Fron the birthdays it sounds like you will be spending alot too soon. That will keep you busy.
Hi to everyone else and Dipstick hugs that it is not too nasty x.
Well looking at the time I can wish you all happy valentines day. Watch out for your single men as it is a leap year ! I had a nice day off but the house was choccablock with ED ill all night, her friend has been in a road crash and has a whiplash, son’s uni got cancelled and the MD and her 2 chaps arrived. So I didn’t quite finish all that I planned but it was very nice. Son and I went bed testing as he plans to buy one on the internet but was not sure what to choose as a lot offer memory foam matresses now. We also went to Tesco and choose valentine meal foods. He has the left oven to cook his meal for his girlfriend and I have the right oven to cook for Victor. Should be rather funny!
valentine kisses
Lily xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Happy St Valentine’s Day xxxxxx
Just think of me dropping OH off at the airport later :frowning:
This is the reason we decided to go away over the weekend.
Have a good day whatever you are doing and keep that positive head on Lisa, we’re right with you
Nicky xx

Lily, great news about the insurance money I bet your son was very pleased and you have done some spending too. Any luck with finding somewhere for Easter? I know exactly what you mean about finding light bulbs, of course we have the same problem too. All our new light fittings only seem to take these eco bulbs that screw in, and we find the light just isn’t enough, bring back good old 100 w bayonet bulbs where you could see what you were actually doing.

Val I’m so pleased that you are now getting some comfort from the blood transfusion and your new pain meds, and yes my son’s email account was hacked, every day I (and several of his email friends) received a mail with a link but no subject, and the link took you to some American Viagra site! We got around the problem by deleting him from contacts, and then he changed his email address, so far so good. This also happened to my sister and brother from one of my old email accounts that I never use any more so I basically took out all my contacts from that account as I couldn’t see how to cancel the account. Hope nothing terrible happens with affects to bank accounts or other personal details.

Good luck Lisa with the pre op on Thursday, you are being such a good girl, how do you do it? Mum No. 2 (or is it No. 3?) speaks sensibly so do as she says. Are you taking a laptop in? Will you be able to speak to us? I would advise lots of things to watch (if taking laptop) and read as it really does get pretty boring staying still in bed, mind you I expect you will have friends/family to visit you so maybe not so boring for you. I had no visitors for about 3 days and I felt like pulling my wispy hair out.

Nicky hope you had a great Valentine’s weekend, where did you go? Mr Nicky travels away quite a bit doesn’t he, do you find life lonely when he’s away or are you surrounded by enough family/friends to keep you busy?

Chris (Dipstick) drop in to let us know how your chemo goes, hope it isn’t as bad 2nd time around, maybe they have some better meds this time.

I was in great pain yesterday with my sore ribs, which seems to have spread from one side across to the other side now. I didn’t know what to do with myself, but dosed up on paracetamol and upped my usual tramadol tablets and today it has felt a little less painful. I saw the rheumatologist today, he wants me to have a dexa xray (to check for osteoporosis), another rib xray and a blood test to check calcium/vit D levels and some other things that I don’t understand. He didn’t suggest a bone scan yet, he said he wants to try and find out first why I keep getting these “simultaneous” fractures, in other words rib fractures without injury or accident. My Mum and Grandmother both have/had osteoporosis so maybe that’s a clue. However I’ve been taking calcium/vit D tablets since the last fractures which is over a year now. He did ask me if I’ve spoken to my Oncologist about these problems, but I said I haven’t seen the Onc for ages so haven’t mentioned the latest fractures.

I’m off to the UK on Friday to visit ED, son, little chap and little miss and then spending a week with my Mum, I think I’ll be a raving alcoholic after a week with my absent minded Mum, bless her but I know she will drive me barmy!

Take care ladies, Carole xxxx

Hi,
Carole can I ask you to be careful if you are out and about drinking as we don’t want any more accidents if your bones are fragile!! I did laugh as I know just what you mean, some days! Have a fab visit with all the family and lots of hugs with the littles, fabulous :)Yes the energy saving bulbs, what a nightmare and some don’t even fot the lights despite them being recommended! You certainly get looked after well in France although appointments are tiring in themself. I hope not a big problem.
Nicky, it must be a bit quiet at home now, hope he is not away for too long. You better start decorating plans to keep you occupied. Are you waiting for the new plate for your new car? Very exciting.
Lisa make this a good week. Maybe take some paper and do some jewellery designs while in there? Mostly have a lovely few days.
Well the house is a flower shop. I have almost run out of places and vases for them. I already had a dozen red tulips and flowering plants to find nice spots for. Son had a bouquet here for his girlfriend, which (flowers) we were trying to keep cool as the roses often just flop. Victor came in with a big bouquest, which filled 2 vases and then ED was given a big bouquet as well. So lovely having the fragrance of roses everywhere. I also sneeked into town to try to plan Victor’s surprise holiday. First place I went was rather expensive but got it down quite a bit in the 2nd place I tried. Rome is very expensive it seems and rather annoyed that I can’t book flights from Stansted, which is near us. You can only do that direct with the airline but I was hoping to do a package including transport and tours while there. It is really difficult to plan it without being able to ask him about it, like times of travel and driving to which airport! The first place I went to wanted to charge a supplement of £120 to travel early in the day so we get a full first day. Then they only flew into an airport an hour away and then wanted a large sum to drive us back in to Rome. They suggested we use local trains. I said ’ so I arrive in Rome and have to find my own way to the hotel and I don’t speak Italian?. The girl said ‘oh don’t worry its very easy’. I said ‘have you been then?’ She said ‘oh no I haven’t been to Italy’ derrh. So she asked all the others in the shop and none of them had been either but all said ‘oh yes its definitely easy’. I said ‘are we guessing then, if none of us have actually been there?’. She then asked me if I had thought about going on Eurostar to Amsterdam. I said ‘so is Amsterdam a place you think of as having great architecture (having already mentioned the purpose of the trip) because I just think of it as being famous for something else.’ About now I made my excuses said I would think about it over coffee and left. becak to the drawing board and trawling the internet i guess.
Lily x

Busy on here thought everyone would be having romantic meals and flowers apart from me, boo hoo (ha)!

Lily I’m sure transport wouldnt be that hard in Rome, we managed in Milan albeit the trip from the train station to our hotel was a bit strange mind it was the dead of night. Good luck and home you find something soon. I will have you know Amsterdam is quite nice, i visited Anne franks house (with a major hangover), walked passed the museums (albeit at 4am), we also had a lovely chinese on a floating hotel in the middle of a river and we done a lovely boat trip and a walk round the canals. We did venture to the red light district but it scared me lol! Lovely sqaure and some nice shops, maybe another trip.

Carole, bet you are excited about coming to the Uk, you can stock up on lots of shopping and have a few wines for me.

Well tonight popped into a little wedding night do just to show face my friend was a bit tipsy and was trying to get me to stay and drink, I had a diet coke and only stayed an hour. I was a bit upset, not because i couldnt drink (I know you will have been thinking it) but i was sick of being the one that has to give up on things, has to wear scarves, feels self conscious, but then hopefully this will be at an end soon. Did have a small glass of champers at mams though, and turned down the rest of the bottle.

Weigh in day tomorrow, hoping to push my weight loss up a bit from 8.5lb, it’s acutally a bit less too compared to the weight before xmas that they took. Im hoping for 3lb so everything crossed. Thanks for all the tips re hospital, wierd but I love to read but find I cant at all in hospital< i think Im always worried about drains, getting comfie etc. being uncomfie that the most I can do is flick through a magazine.

Well better go and have a cuppa or maybe just straight to bed…

Morning ladies, well, we did all have different St Valentines to the ones they show in films etc ha ha.
It is quiet for a few days here but ED is back tomorrow for a vist home. OH is travelling more with this job but we did know this when he took it and he has done so in the past. This time it’s much easier as the girls were quite young and I used to find it far more difficult then. I did get a lovely bunch of roses from him on Monday as we didn’t have much time yesterday to spend together, ahhhh.
As to my car, yes, it will be the new number but only because I thought I’d wait, there was no need to rush to buy it now and there weren’t many used ones with the specification that I wanted. Just need to sell mine now, which I may do this week but it’s not the time to be selling soft tops!
Carole, I hope all the various X-rays just show a weakness in the ribs that you can sort out with tablets or such like and hoping the pain is getting better, it just takes time I suppose. Have a lovely visit to the uk and see all the family, how exciting. Don’t forget M and S for your undies lol.
Lisa, you’re still doing great so hope all the weight has stayed off and it all goes well for tomorrow, hope I have that right for the pre op? I know what you mean about not reading anything substantial in hospital, I take mags etc and just flitted around when I was in there regularly for chemo. What about a puzzle mag as well? Also I had my Nintendo D’S (still do!) and used to do quite mind numbing games on it but it passed the time!
Lily, are you opening a florist? How lovely to have all those flowers. As to Rome I think the agents could have been a bit more helpful! It isn’t easy if you were to do it yourself, as far as I know there’s no direct train or tube into the centre of Rome so they weren’t quite right! Amsterdam is meant to be fab, friends of ours rave about it but there may not be enough to keep Victor happy! One place that would would be Barcelona, there is so many fantastic buildings his head would pop  I think there would be more organised trips there, but I could be wrong. It’s all very central though so you wouldn’t necessarily need a tour guide, and I expect they have sightseeing buses that are always good to go on. Good luck with the planning though!
Val, hope th energy levels are still good and the pain is keeping away.
Hi to Slenda, Bev and Chris, hope you are doing well, under the circumstances for Chris!
Nicky xx
Just added this PS for Lily, you could try Cresta, BA or Thomson who all do city breaks, they would include transfers if you needed them and your fairly average travel agents I’m sure could manage to arrange one of them for you - even to Rome which they all go to!

Well I phoned the BCN yesterday re postponing my chemo and she got back to me this morning after speaking to my Consultant. She still wants me to go ahead with the chemo so I am taking her advice. Think I will need to have a day/night out tomorrow while I can…any excuse! I have been for my bloods this morning so will be interested to see what my HB is now.
Carole have a great time on your visit to your family the UK and hope you spend lots of money on nice things for yourself as well as your grand-daughter! Do you have an Marks and Spencers outlet shop where you are? They sell things at reduced prices from the main stores. Marks and Spencers also have a sale on right now as my friend told me she had snapped up some bargains yesterday. I have not been myself. I like TK max but their shoe selection has been very poor for a long time. Is this the same in England folks?
Lily I am jealous re your flower filled house. I got none! But my husband does by them for me often the rest of the year. He detests cards (of all kinds) so waste of time sending him one…but I am sure he knows I love him anyway! My birthday next week so hoping he will surprise me then!
Nicky, sorry that your Oh is having to work away but you are right it is probably easier now that your girls are grown up.
Lisa I took in baby wipes to freshen up while in bed for sticky fingers and hot sweaty face as it can be very hot in there. I am an avid reader and I couldn’t concentrate as I usually do so magazines are the way to go when you can read a page or two
easily.
Surprising warm here today with a beautiful bright sky and the sun shining. Must make the most of it. We seem to have a climate all to ourselves over here on the east coast. Its really unseasonal and so lovely from the weather we usually have at this time of year. Hugs to everyone, Val

Hi Val, sorry you can’t delay chemo but hope you have a nice time beforehand xxx

Nicky, oh car, how nice, hope you manage to sell yours soon xx

Lily, are you enjoying your week off, anything planned x

Carole, how excited are you getting?

Slenda hope you are doing okay xx

Nothing here, just got pre-op tomorrow. Plus side is lost 3.5lb this week so that’s 12lb. yippee xx

Night all xxx

Hi,
wow go Lisa  Well done and there will be no stopping you at this rate. Keep up the good work. Hope all goes smoothly tomorrow and CHECK what tablets to take or not, just in case there is any change from the last fiasco. Are you going on your own? Hugs x.
Val i think you are sensible to follow their advice as there are other factors to think about with chemo and we are coming to a better time of year without so many colds, etc. Also the transfusion has clearly done a good job on making you feel better and you need to be strong enough to take it or they have to keep stopping. Hugs for you too and moan all you like to us about it.Dipstick you too. Val glad to hear you have other flower days. I have flowers every week and feel lost without them. I have a bunch by the kitchen sink to encourage me to wash up things that don’t do dishwashers!Hope the warmewr spell holds for you.
Nicky yes I would wait for the new plate too. I always watch out for the first new one as they look so different until you get used to the new nu,bers and letters. Thanks for travel advice, very helpful.I already have the cresta brochure but our bank will knock 10% off their prices, or off most people like Thomas Cook and Thompsons so get a bit more off their bill if we then book over the phone through them. Also get vip lounge pass which Victor loves so starts the trip off well. Just wondering when to tell him where we are going, if I get it booked that is?
P make sure you don’t buy that dodgy underwera Nicky bought
Well my apologies to Amsterdam fans but I was really just talking about the buildings as that is Victor’s big interest and I don’t think you can beat Rome for that. I can’t fly from my local airport unless I book direct with a budget airline, Victor’s pet hat one too! So looks like Gatwick and I want full days there so leaving before dawn and on the last plane home. Does mean we get empty roads though and less worry about traffic problems. Victor makes us leave hours before we need to just in case. Thought I had a great hotel and then read fairly horrid reviews so looking again, I read someone’s review of being in the colosseum and got very excited about going and thinking about throwing my coins in the Trevi fountain and having my pic taken on the spanish steps. Right will have trouble sleeping now after that!
Pup poorly and puking on me all day so had to have a painful muscle relaxant and squeeked a fair bit, which is unusual for her. They think she has pharingitis or has swallowed something and scratched her throat. I think she has a fur ball fom licking her fur!
Ciao Lily x

Hi Val, well, I guess they know best! As Lily says now that you have got some of your strength back I’m hoping that chemo won’t be too harsh but as its the tablets I expect they are slightly easier than the hospital IV ones. Lucky you with your microclimate up in the north! However I think you spoke (gloated?) too soon lol looks like its getting much colder for you on Sunday but it must have been nice not to have braved the ice and snow you usually get. What day is your birthday? We’re all packing the in again aren’t we? Mine is in march and we had the 2 L’s in the last couple of weeks.
Lily, poor pup, and poor you! Shame they can’t clear up after themselves as I say coming down to a fur ball thrown up in the kitchen, yuk. At least it was on a tiled floor. Rome is absolutely fab so if you can make it I’d say definitely go. You can hint to Victor about a trip being planned but leave it until nearer the time to tell him when to pack? But I suppose he will need to book the time off work? Can you ask his boss to book it off for him so it’s a complete surprise?
Lisa, way to go girl! All that hard work is definitely paying off as you can see, keep it up for the next week or so and you will have lost even more! Hoping, and believing, all will be well today and, as Mum No2 says, check all the bl**dy meds - as they seem to have forgotten to do last time!
Hi to everyone else, nothing much happening here so no news to tell.
Nicky xxx

hiya all, well i survived pre-op and made sure about meds and told them i will swallow nothing until im told by doctor and will not take blood pressure med if someone tells me otherwise tough luck. All went okay apart from the bloods as ever, after nurse made 5 attempts, gave up an sent me to plebotics (wrong selling totally) and got first time but on inside of wrist - yowch!!!

Went shopping afterwards and mam bought a few tops for hols but i didnt as dubious, very wierd the two tops she bought i bought her for mothers day in different colours.

So, on count down, been naughty had lots of wine, nibbles and chocolate buy day off…

Val, good luck with chemo…

Lily go to italy its amazing as Nicky has said, think its my favourite country, me and friend are going to do Venice this year hopefully…

Hope everyone has a good friday xx

aribidarchi bella!!

Hi,
Nicky the trip is definitely on but just as I thought I had covered everything, I found some reviews I wasn’t keen on and went back to the start on hotels. I have told him the dates to book but that is all so far.I am giving him conflicting info. So when he said about a big breakfast, I said oh no I forgot some countries don’t have bacon. Then when he said about flying i said, why would we need a passport? Just as i was thinking I had been seriously clever he made a joke about like going to the parthenon! I bluffed a oh yes as if!! Then can you believe it I have started talking in my sleep after many years of not doing it grrrrrr. Victor said where’s my card and I said what? He said you woke me up and wished me happy birthday in the night :frowning: Then I did it again later but he could not understand what I was saying! I do hope I don’t blab, but what can I do?
Lisa boo hoo about the veins and I hope you are not too sore or bruised :frowning: I have been to lake Garda and we visited Venice while there, fab but the hottest place I have been in my whole life and really struggled as the queues were in the full sun. Take a hat and fan!Do you think your mum wrecked the tops you bought or just really liked them? Quiz her  Very bad person for stuffing your face!!!
Bought a nice solid oak cupboard for the living end of the kitchen today. Tried to barter but no luck except free delivery on saturday. Also found an upholsterer to make cushions for the window seat when Victor finishes it. I think I will pick black leather effect and square cushions to look like arm rests. I am hoping it will look like a built in leather sofa but tough enough to withstand pup, vomit, spaghetti bolognaise sauce and my 3 lovely boys
Over and out

Hello Lily,
hello lily, clearly talking to myself here but hey when did that ever stop me, ha ha. Hooray hooray today I have booked my trip for Victor’s secret bufday trip. We are off to Rome, staying in the historic part and I have booked a trip on the 2nd day to see the colosseum and ancient monuments. Better hope they let me take Victor back out and don’t keep him ha ha.
