Darling Rads of August

Yes , it is, just tried a different set of stats and much bigger gain if you have larger tumour and node involvement .

And if you have grade 3 tumour.

Ah right Jill, thanks…was beginning to think the world had gone mad! Lol x

I read somewhere on here a woman got 35 year forecast? X

Doesn’t factor in you getting bumped off by something else though does it!!!

Ha ha true but the pill won’t protect us from that will it…rubbish pill! Lol x

I think Letrozole is only prescribed to post-menopausal women. Certainly the side effects I’m experiencing are different and more extreme than menopause - bleeding gums, aching teeth, arthritic pain, bladder pain. Though there are one or two similarities to my menopause - eg wondering why people were waving at me in the hospital car park, then realising I was driving around with a bottle of water on the car roof!

Hi Maggie, glad we cheer you up .I couldn’t sleep night before my planning meeting was lie being transported back to the anxiety provoking first few weeks after being diagnosed.I find that any appointments make me feel vulnerable and anxious and remind me I have/ have had cancer.

Hi Maggie. I had x-Rays the first two sessions, then weekly. The session lasted about 20 minutes for the initial ones. Now it’s about 10 minutes, but only about 2-3 mins of that is zapping. It’s weird but not painful and I found it fairly easy to stay in position. Usually I’m at the hospital an hour but sometimes the machines break down… Not sure what the probes are. Good luck today.

Yes you can use deodorant on opposite side wjen rads and both arms after rads had heald hope this helps x

Hi everyone. Had first booster session this morning. It was a different machine, which came a lot closer than the others. I had X-rays done first, then they attached a wire with a button on it to my boob! Then zapped two sides as before. They kept talking measurements over me all the time - think it’s really precise as they are treating just where the tumour was. Did have a little panic as I was laying there as I wanted to cough but thought I’d better hold it in in case I got zapped in wrong place! My skin is holding up ok - just have darker patch under boob and slight pink square! Am slapping lots of aqueous cream on, hopefully rest of boob will get a chance to recover whilst I am having boosters. They told me it will be the same each day - think I was in the room for about 15 minutes. Had awful nights sleep last night was going to check on here to see who was awake but I pad lights the bedroom up and don’t think hubby would be impressed at 3am! Dam hot flushes are waking me up. Hope you all get on well today :smileyhappy:

I did go out on my bike yesterday - managed to do 28 miles but it was really hot and I did feel a bit bad a couple of times but glad I went - I need the exercise - missing my fitness so much but at the minute I’m so tired in the afternoons I haven’t got the energy to do much!

Be proud of yourself sharnie…28 mile! Brilliant, I can’t walk to kitchen from lounge without creeping! Oh I hope I dint get booster! ;( x

Creaking not creeping x

Congrats on the bike ride, Sharnie - you’re an inspiration. Managed to cycle to rads today (only 1 mile each way!) but I feel better for it.
