Evening all, sorry to hear about lump Sheena. I had a lump appear a couple of days ago - I was told just to keep an eye on it! Mine is above boob not as far up as shoulder. It does seem to have gone down a bit now - I think it’s the tissue underneath swelling due to rads - I was panicking about mine but the radiographers didn’t seem to concerned with it. Skin is feeling a little sore tonight and and am a bit tired but been shopping this afternoon. Poldark has just made me a cuppa and I’m chilling on sofa. This time next week all rads will be done and dusted :smileyhappy:
I knew someone else had had a lump appear ,thanks Sharnie. Glad Poldark is being of assistance ,you will get a text message asking you to rate the experience …
Oh Sheena you must be fed up to say the least! Will have everything crossed it nothing sinister. Try to keep your chin up… Sending love x x
Er that man comment is in the wrong thread! X
No ,they are not compulsory… and they can pain in the a***s even when you have all this going on…
He gets around Poldark ,at least he is making himself useful…
Poldark has destroyed it … ( your heart )…Hate to tell you this Sheena but he has been fraternising with a few ladies … Go back to Gary ,he’s more reliable…
Enrique Inglesias not returning my calls, won’t be employing him again…
Do you guys have to sit and wait with your fancy jackets on?
I only have to sit in the waiting area with everyone else and then the radiographer comes out and takes me into treatment room and I whip my top off amd clutch my pillow case x
Hi ladies from a trumpeteer:womanlol: Having had a fair share of major surgery in my years. They do pump you up with gas to be able to get at organs, and it has to come out eventually::catembarrassed: I was doing trumpet solos with other patients joining in on cue:womanlol:
Seriously though I did have terrific pain in my collarbone/shoulder and they said it was wind from surgery nobody sent George Clooney round though to jump on my chest— to release the wind of course!! take care ladies Maggie X
Struggling to sleep tonight so have decided to get up and make a hot chocolate! Boob is hurting and shoulder too :smileysad: I don’t have anything as exciting as a jacket too wear - just a bog standard hospital gown which are one size fits all! I get called through then get changed into gown then wait in a separate area from main waiting room until they call me through. They take gown off to my waist - was freezing today - dread to think what it’s like in winter! I think we should all be given our own gowns to wear for the duration and hand them back when we’re done - the laundry bill must be colossal!
Maggie you were lucky with your Times, mine were all over the place from 830am to 8 pm! X
Maggie I was given one for the duration of my treatment so someone’s making sensible decisions at Preston. X
I meant shauni not Maggie…'re the gowns lol x

Morning, all. Anyone catch the meteor shower? For once I slept 7 hours so I missed it. Amberstone, you asked Jill re bladder issues and rads. As I posted about bladder inflammation, I thought I’d just clarify that for me this is a side effect of Letrozole meds. It’s extremely uncomfortable and not due to infection. Ibuprofen helps a little.
Best wishes and good luck to anyone who has children getting their exam results today or next Thurdsday.
I get to wear one of my own bras that has been chopped up and marked with ink during rads !!!Due to floppy nature of boobs they said they needed to keep them central to avoid exposing too much of breast to radiation!!!Had to go home from planning appointment braless …comical, they will get bra out for each appointment!!!
Good morning all, worst nights sleep ever. Think I’m going to have to get my v shaped pillow out tonight. Boob is too sore to lie on and I sleep on that side. Didn’t see any meteors last night - kept looking! Hubby was oblivious to me getting up and down most of the night - think he could sleep through an earthquake! Going to ask oncologist if I can take sleeping tablets, just so I can get some rest. Off for my zapping in a minute - let’s hope they get it right today! Have a good day everyone xx
