Darling Rads of August

My son was doing his exams through all of this too.He has AS results too.

Good luck to him, Jill. I hope he’s coping well. I find it difficult to tell with my son.

They are not very expressive at this age!!!

Good luck to all with their son/daughters receiving A level results today.

How did you get on with lump on shoulder Sheena?

Yes, but what if you are the one woman that has her life saved …

Hi. I didn’t see the programme but read about it on the bbc website. I am the one woman who was saved. Had no lumps, no symptoms, eat healthily, and exercise. My tumour showed up on a routine mammogram, was the most aggressive kind and invasive. The surgeon said I wouldn’t have felt a lump for six months because it was deep seated, and by that time it would have been a very different story. Two women I know of who were diagnosed at the same time as me have died. So I feel very lucky. I do feel bad that people have surgery needlessly, though.

Sounds interesting programme - will have to get that on demand. Mine was detected on first mammogram at 47 was 12mm and grade 2 invasive so I think screening saved my life as I had no idea there was a lump there. Been having a down day today - not like me, had a few tears this afternoon - not sure if it’s the Tamoxifen or lack of sleep or combination of both. Having a bit of pain in boob today which is getting me down. Seeing oncologist for a review tomorrow - have lots of questions to ask! Hope he has enough time to answer them.  Goodnight all - hope to be more cheerful tomorrow!! Xx

Sharon ,can I dispatch anyone to help out??Quiet night so Brad and Poldark are free…Tamoxifen is not agreeing with me ,hoping it settles down soon.

I was also diagnosed by routine mammogram, very deep tumour, no symptoms and unlikely to be any til a lot more serious .

Hope you feel better tomorrow, Sharnie. I’ve had a few weeps too - lack of sleep, meds, bladder etc etc. Hope you get a good sleep. x

I will make sure he turns up on time or he is sacked, he may be Poldark but he cant take the p**s.Make sure he does ironing /washing up too…

You are obviously blessed with less floppy boobs Maggie !!I am looking forward to seeing my bra again, hope it hasn’t been lonely…

We would all like that Maggie!!!
