Where is Poldark with my “full English” and morning paper…
I will send Poldark round Jill, he’s just made me a cuppa! It will be interesting to see what tablets I’m going to try next. Should find out this week - am not going to take them until after my holiday though. He did say there are three different ones I can try. I will give them three months to see if I’m better on them than the Tamoxifen. I have an appointment with onc then so I guess he will change them again if I’m no better. What is the bone scan like for you ladies who have had one, can’t be worse than my MRI scan I hope! Well now off out for the day on my bike - hope it stays dry, it’s very cloudy at the moment but at least I haven’t got to worry quite so much about sunburn this week!
Wondered where he was!!Enjoy your day.
Hi Sharnie. Bone density scan is fine. They weigh you, measure height, you lie down on a scanner type thing and that measures density. That’s it. No pain. Have a lovely day.
Are you feeling any better Marcella?
Hi Jill. Thanks for asking. I do feel better - still some bladder twinges but no blood and I’m up and dressed. Hope to try a walk this afternoon.

Hi Julie,I have messaged you re the “Preston Rads social club”,hope they have gin…
Had lovely bike ride today. Biked to the station, about 6 miles caught the train to the coast and biked home. Think we did over 30 miles in total - legs are feeling it now! Having a cuppa and putting my feet up! A lot of hills involved today ? I should sleep well tonight! Thanks for the info on the bone scan! X
I’m partial to jack Daniels , last drank gin on my 21st never again . If not a hit chocolate will have to do . X
I could bring a hip flask with JD…
Good nights sleep everyone, if not I have all Household Hunks on pagers now so if you need warm milk etc at 4am,we can oblige.Oh if only… instead have grumpy husband who thinks cancer has all gone, job done, being radiated for 3 weeks and pumped full of hormones that make you feel like old woman is a piece of cake…
I’m sure someone invented a machine that gave men a taste of what it’s like to give birth - maybe we can invent one that helps them imagine having a lump cut out of their d***s (or a complete amputation) then having the remains fried to a crisp for 15 days, followed by testosterone suppressants. Er, hope that doesn’t sound too aggressive…
Ooh no,sounds quite gentle really…yes we should get one of those machines, can rent it out ,probably get a lot of use …
That made me laugh mf! Yes they wouldn’t cope if they had half of what we are going through. I know what my hubby and son are like if they have a cold let alone anything else!! Goodnight all - hope to sleep well tonight! If not Jill I will have a hot chocolate in a couple of hours time - send Poldark round if he’s available ? x
Morning mf
just catching up on here and its 3am been on night owl no one there you made me laugh with the machine for men would love to try one on them …
And Jill your right about the hubby they
think you had it its gone now sorted…they
havnt got a clue what we are going
through…when I got my pathology report I
sat down with a coffee trying to
understand it he followed me with his cup
of tea and im sure I heard him say right
lets have a look…I thought blimey he
gonna show some interest …then he said
oh wheres my glasses ive forgot my
glasses in lorry…I started trying to make
head n tail of the pathology report I
looked at him he had found his glasses
and was messing with his phone prob
ebay or face book…my blood was boiling
underneath I just put the report upstairs
out of the way and never mentioned again
we dont talk about the cancer at all just
as I thought he was gonna show a little
interest …so YES THAT MACHINE WILL
BE BRILL FOR ME TO USE ON HIM !

As I thought the machine is popular!!!I would just like some recognition every now and again that I have been and still am dealing with treatment for an illness that can kill you.Just occasionally ,not asking to be treated with kid gloves, don’t want cancer to ge a constant topic of conversation, just some recognition that this is a scary emotional thing we are STILL dealing with ,even once a week would do!!! Moan over !!!
Well said Jill
and Joyce yes it is deffo a man thing .
best get ready for my acupuncture what my hisbamd has never mentioned or asked about thwnater on I migjr be javing my injection in my frozen shoulder what he has never mentioned ! MEN !

Glad the machine has entertained you. My eldest son (36) asks if I’m ok but when I say no and tell him what I’m experiencing he just says so I’ve nothing to worry about then! He seems to want to know if I’m going to die but nothing else. Ex-husband cried when I told him, said it could have been him and he was going to change his diet because he thought he had cancer (he hasn’t). I’ll get to work on the machine this week (last rads today!). Look out for me on Dragons’ Den…
