Question ladies…
Is anyone taking their antiacids for the entire cycle? I stopped around Day 10 and now I’m getting bad acid at night again at day 18. Thinking I’m just better off taking them permanently whilst going through chemo? X
Sam H87 I’ve had to ring the help line as i haven’t slept in a couple of nights because of the heartburn
I’ve up the tabs so I will watch and see if it helps
Am also trying to drink a port to see if that helps
Oh it’s awful Karebear. Is it making you feel sick too? It’s only when I’m laying down that I notice it but I think I’m going to have to take lanzoprazole permanently at this rate… x

For the heartburn at night, maybe prop up your pillows and try sleeping sitting up? Difficult, I know. …
I tried that last night Camilla and it did help… I stupidly stopped my tablets thinking I would only need them for a few days- so I’m back on them again today! X
I haven’t been given any other tablets to take… just have a daily filigrim injection for 5 days. I have swollen digestive system, bloated, indigestion, heavy cough and cold, awake all night. Rained all day. Basically feeling low, this whole process is so l o n g

Hello you lovely December ladies, I’ve been looking at your board from time to time, it’s encouraging to see you ahead of us, still surviving.
I am now day 13 following FEC I chose not to cold cap so I’m now waiting for my hair to fall out. Any tips on how to cope ? I had it cut short on 30th Dec, I wanted to be brave and enjoy some experimental time with my hair, good choice for me as I actually quite like it. Anyway from what I’ve read it starts to fall out afetr 2 weeks so any day now, the hairdresser is on call to come and strip the rest off when needed.
So what wisdom can you impart on me. How do I best cope with this.

My best buy was a silk pillowcase my hair was very sore before it fell out so the pillowcase was cold and soft Am day 6 cycle 2 and I’ve just some bum fluff left . I go bald in the house and hats and scarfs when out but my head does get warm when out

Hi alliand, it was around day 15 mine started tk thin, I had it cut to a bob length before chemo then on day 18 my husband shaved it to a number 4 with the clippers, which I found so much better than waiting on it all to fall out. Take the control back. On day 3 or 3 of cycle 2 thats when head was all tender to touch and the most of it all went. But ive not found it as bad as I expected, wear a combo of my wig (occassionally) and mostly wee hats and buffs. Get a comfy sleep cap too as ive found my head gets a bit chilly lol xx
Hi aliand, mine started to shed on day 14/15, so I buzzed it to a grade 1. It was on 2nd fec that the rest of it went apart from a few tufts. It’s your choice how short you go darling, I went for a grade 1, so when it went it wasn’t too ???I had long hair at diagnosis, cut to a bob to start chemo (sent hair to little princess wigs for children) then buzz cut, then shiney kojak head with assortment of wigs, beanies and turbans. I think we all have a ???when we cut our hair off but we have all found it empowering too and hope you do too when you brave the buzz. ???shi from Oct thread.

Thank you ladies. I’ll order the silk pillowcase not got one of those. My head has been tight but like I’ve a tight pony tail in. But not painful yet. I will get it shaved I think onc it gets so far do t fancy the patched look. Wig ordered hats bought and done scarves. Could do with a Muslim bf to teach me how to tie them, they always look so legs to in scarves don’t they
