Sorry to hear this Jo that’s all you need . And having to delay next treatment too we just need to get it finished as soon as we can don’t we . My hubby has been ill as well over new year but somehow I have luckily managed to avoid it . Just hope I have not spoken too soon . Hope you are feeling better soon x

Aliand, as the other lovely ladies have suggested, a silk pillow case. Also a cotton beanie hat to sleep in, it’s surprising how cold your head & shoulders get when you’re used to your hair. Even with the hot flushes!!
Dramaminx, hope your side effects aren’t too awful having chemo every 2 weeks. Your reconstruction sounds like something to look forward to ?
I hope everyone else’s side effects aren’t causing too many problems. I’m finally normal, the thought of doing it all again next week is looming though ? xxx

Jo, so, so sorry to hear about the flu!
I’m sure we are all so careful re hand gel etc and any visitors to my house use it straight away. Before my last chemo and feeling ‘normal’ I went early to the supermarket, large aisles, no-one about, gloves on the whole time, even for pin number, yet still managed to catch hacking cough and cold, which I still have 5 days after last chemo.
I regret taking the risk yet people work through chemo and come up against all sorts of germs. It’s hard to know what to do.

I rang the help line yesterday and they said I could 2 Omperazole tabs1 day and 1 evening. I got the best nights sleep I’ve had in a few days. So am taking 3 anti sickness and 2 Omperazole
And it seems to be doing the trick I hope it continues.
But you never know what I day brings with chemo xx

My chemo unit has no Dr so even if u ring they can’t prescribe. Have had no extra meds since 1st chemo 18/12. Dr s surgery packed out. Never heard of omperzole, will look it up.
I dread going to bed as can’t sleep at all…
Am so sorry camilla is there no out of hours doctors you could contact.
Try sitting up and even try gaviscon until the morning

Fingers crossed for the bloods to keep going back up Jo and for the antibiotics to work. Scary how a small.infection can become so serious on chemo. Hopeing you are better asap

Day 9 of chemo 2 and am feeling like a normal person again. Am starting to sleep better the extra heartburn tab has worked wonders.
Hopefully will be able to meet friends and have a good weekend .

Runawaygirl ??same happened to me in my first fec back in Oct. See if your onc will reduce your dose for next chemo, I went down to 80% dose and was fine on that. It is ??? I full know. I also went on the Life Mel honey after that too and even though it’s expensive but my neutraphils have been good ever since, I’ve also eaten a steak a day??shi xx
