Happy birthday Silver’s OH
Happy birthday Silver’s OH
Happpppppy birthdayyyyyy Silver’s OHHHHHHHH
Happy birthday to him!
Thanks Westie, I’ll pass on the greeting! We’ll be off down the Social club tonight, where I may make up for the fact that I drove at lunch time so didn’t have any wine, but as we are out for supper tomorrow night (Fete Committee pat on the back bun fight) I may take it easy tonight. Think of the calories, still not shifted the holiday excesses.
Ahhhh - what is life is not for the pleasure of excess?!
I’m off to a proper pub tonight too - - our local is still closed so we have to trauchle all the way to the next village - - and the pub isn’t as good (and the regulars resent us!) It’s all fun!
Our local burnt down! (Never have a thatched roof!) Thank heaven for the club, or we’d all be teetotal. OH walks to the other nearest local, but now that it’s getting darker I usually pick him up, aren’t I good.
Intend to spend some of the weekend making curtains for ME! We use our conservatory as a sitting room all year round, and we really need some thick curtains in there. Keep trying to think of a decent way of screening the roof: first quote we had for blinds from a “proper” company was ten grand… I don’t think so! Even using a company I deal with, and fitting them ourselves it was £3.5k, and I can think of a lot of things to do with that sort of money
Apart from the pub, and herding sheep, anything exciting on your agenda?
I’ve seen it done very nicely with curtain material - creating a sort of tent from the centre point of the conservatory roof to the edges of the roof - think sultan’s luxurious tent not a campsite tent! It does look very good and I’m sure it’s cheaper than your suggested prices
Nothing exciting - beating NHS at own game (making complaint, already won one part!) and rads every day seems to fill my days nicely! lol
How about you?
Yes, I was thinking thermal curtain lining and tension rods or net wire, sure I can do something, it’s my profession after all! Trouble is I will have to make about 17 of them, and really would like to be able to move them up and down, but I think that’s being picky!
Can sympathise with EJ re red and sore…last weekend I suddenly had an allergic reaction to SOMETHING, came out in blotches from head to foot, shaking all over. Haven’t a clue what it was as I hadn’t eaten or drunk anything odd. Had white wine instead of red, perhaps that was it?!! Took antihistamines, rang doctor, who a) knew no more than I did, and b) was about 30 miles away, and we’d both been out for a long lunch party and couldn’t drive anyway. Doc said ring for an ambulance if I got worse. luckily it gradually faded away, but I’m a bit worried, 'cause as I don’t know what did it, I don’t know if it will strike again. We all wheeze sneeze or itch in our family, but this was crazy.
lol
Och well - it’s time I went to the end of the track to get a lift to the pub - and yes, I’ll be driving back up the track in an enebriated state!
The Black Beards are on me (it’s the grown up milky bar kid!)
Y’all have a lovely evening xxx
Good job you live out in the wilds Westie, hope no coppers are on this site!
Have a good weekend
xxxxx

Well if anyone feels the need to book an odyssey week do, it was an absolute nightmare but i would be a very good friend to all of you and go in your place! westie there is no way you would enjoy it, or you Nina couldnt picture you two taking part at all!
Anna x x
Annamarie - do I look like the “outward bound” type? lol! You recovered from all your recent stress yet?
EJ - the rads, so far, is fine. I felt like you (side of mutton in the butcher’s window) for the simulator and first rad, but now I just walk in, strip off and get on with it. “A little something for the weekend?” just took on a whole new meaning as the radiographers gave me alcohol wipes to get the black dots off my chest as a special treat! oooooooooOOooooo
Och well - another beautiful day here in the promised land (we keep getting promised it’s gonna get better). Usual horizontal rain. Apparently it’s cold enough now to snow in the hills, but I think they must mean higher hills than ours…horizontal snow would be good - anything for a flaming change!
Anybody want coffee & pancakes? I’ve had the mixture sitting a while now (and yes, I actually made it myself!)
Sue - you really made make me laugh with your description of rads !!!
morning folks, hows it all going.
I need some coffee and some energy. Feeling a bit washed out. Sue I remember the rads well
And its pissing down again.
Still Im venturing out to see Mamma Mia (again) this afternoon
Nice one Louise - Mamma Mia was BRILLIANT - what a laugh!
The pancakes are yummy by the way - served with Canadian Maple Syrup (No1)
and the coffee is Costa Rican - mild yet rich
ahhhhh spies pancakes and coffee…yum…just in time for breakfast here
lil hard boiled egg didn’t quite do it - although my mixture of reg coffee and pumpkin spice was rather nice…
morning magsi
hi there louise
smiles to Westie
waves at Jen
how goes it today? am up early here - hard to sleep with a leather band around your chest…tight and fighting
but I am so not complaining…am nearly there…2 more and I am a free woman!!!
spreads good cheer throughout room…wait, that’s peter pan…
so just says hello and picks up a coffee
before finding a perfect spot on the swing…listening to the rain of England and hearing the birds in US
HI EJ
Rain is still horizontal here. Blue (the pony) has been hiding from the elements in the field shelter for the past I-dunno-how-long, and I’m trying to get daughter to clean it out…after all, Blue is HERS.
daughter also has a friend coming for the night, and I’m trying to get her to clean out her room too…after all, the room is HERS.
Well I have a bit of peace for a while, I have sent my mum out to brave the elements to do the shopping.
Il get the coffee on for when she returns.
(still peeing it down here aswell)
yes, love the idea
IV of coffeee…ever ready and very green idea…saves water (washing cups)
never understood why they need to be prodded to clean their room when friends are coming over
you’d think they would want it perfect
oh well
so you ahve a week of rads under your belt
any pain???
