Nice to see you Olivia and Thistle! Yes, I can see we need a bit more mulled wine and maybe a jug of hot chocolate too. Right - they are simmering on stove.
The Christmas tree looks wonderful if I must say so myself…very festive esp with the robin and the funny gin and tonic placed sideways on a branch…was that your work Olivia?
oewwwwwwwwww pressies under the tree are piling up ------------ must be some people on the nice list that visit here…
Darts looks about the room, no one is here, so places a few more pressies under the tree for the new folks…and stirs up a batch of appetizers in case Westie strolls in and had a BlackBeard…our fave…bacon strips wrapped around water chestnuts…broiled…that should be good for a nice bite after folks come in from shopping too…
Lights a white pillar candle, wrapped in Christmas pine, for Debsincornwall…Shalom Debs…we will miss you sweetheart…
Puts on Transsiberian Orchestra (CD) and skips out of the room…
Popped in on the way home from some last minute shopping! The robin had fallen out of the tree and was holding the empty gin and tonic in his claws.
The candle for Debsincornwall is a beautiful idea. I hope she is with us in spirit and is at peace now.
Popped another pressie under the tree just in case. Put on some more mulled wine and left a couple of bottles of wine, with some mince pies and a tub of double cream. The place looks very festive and peaceful. The CD had stopped so left out a Christmas hits CD and a couple of party CDs in case anyone pops in for a bit of a shindig over the next few days.
May I wish a very happy, peaceful Christmas to everybody. Happy Christmas xxx
How lovely to see that people have been calling in for some much needed R & R in the madness that is Christmas. 5 minutes with friends makes it all so much better.
Will re-charge the coffee pot [is it me or are we all drinking coffee these days!!] and put some muffins on the stove to warm.
The candle for Debs is so beautiful.
Well 2010 is now here so may I wish friends both old and new a Happy and Healthy New Year and I look forward to “bumping” into more of you soon.
Amazed to find this place still open and some of the ‘oldies’ still visiting (oldies in terms of the number of years on the site rather than age!!!)
Well I better not break a habit of a lifetime so that will be one hot chocolate please.
Hi everybody - Oldies and newbies too! Just thought I would pop in as I was passing, and see if anybody is still here. Hope you are well - have you found a decent barman yet?

Champagne breakfast sounds brilliant. Not too keen on tennis Olivia, just watch the final sometimes.
I will be out for lunch on Sunday otherwise I would be watching Formula 1, I never miss it! I would love Michael Schumacher to win, just to prove them all wrong.
Lovely to see people dropping in again and thanks to you rjen2 for changing the menu. We should take turns at opening up. I hope everyone is doing all right and also wish everyone well.
Champagne breakfast was so good - now am off to Sainsburys for the weekend shop - will try not to eat a packet of caramel biscuits before I get home! Enjoy the Bank Hoiday everyone and hope the sun shines.
I’m saving my Champagne breakfast for next week, so I’ll have half a lager and sit outside in the beer garden whilst the sun is shining, under the parasol of course!
Olivia07, of course you can join me, I’m going for lunch today. They have a carvery on at the minute. Followed by a Pimms in the beer garden. Anyone else care to join me?
Right I’m having my champagne breakfast today because I’m celebrating two things; firstly it’s my birthday and secondly I had my last chemo on Tuesday, hurray to the second! Anyone wishing to join me can pull up a chair. The champagne is chilled and ready to go. CHEERS!!!
Happy birthday. I will join you now because it’s my first chemo a week on Tuesday so may aswell make hay while the sun shines. Congrats on being finished. Better make mine a bucks fizz I need the vitamin c for my immune system. Dx
