Don’t think I’ve been on here before but Im such a thread tart, I may have dropped in.
In order to engraciate myself and gain a formal invitation to “murder by the lake” weekend, I thought I’d make you something nice to eat on this horrible rainy day.
So assuming you are hungry;
lets start with a nice waldorf salad (mentiond before) with wee glass of shampoo
then a big plate of sausages with mustard mash and onions in gravy, with a guiness
then a lovely tiramisu with a small coffe and an amaretto
right I’m off to the shops as I have driven myself mad with greed!
Note…no vegetables for those that are allergic…naming no names!

Hiya Queen - nice to see you to see you nice! I’ve sent my OH to the supermarket - am far too busy doing housework - and at least it doesn’t matter if I’m having a hot flush at home!
OI Lilac - I’m allergic to carrot juice (carrotine - vitamin A sensitivity apparently) - it’s not just you!!! It’s quite a bad allergy actually - I really should get it tested fully and see if I need an epi pen - like I’m volunteering for MORE needles to be stuck in me!!!
Hope you had a nice meal out for your birthday and are enjoying being 41 - must admit it’s not been my best year - but hopefully 42 will be much better for me, not least coz I get the Lakes weekend!! Hopefully most of the Edinburgh crew can make it, the more the merrier, including our very own Queen!
Oh go on Sue - I will help with the epi pen if you need it 
Had a lovely meal last night - very healthy option of steak pie and chips, no green crap.
went to Asda afterwards and got Ben & Jerry’s cookie dough icecream … but by the time I got home the notion had worn off so it’s still in the freezer.
Am just off to forage the kitchen and see what delights I can thrown towards th oven for tonight’s dinner.

Well I went to the gym then had a quick swim before thinking I really should go shopping. Went to Sainsbury cos it was nearer and though it would be quicker. Big mistake, forgot that I wouldn’t know where anything is so shopping took twice as long as usual, then couldn’t get off the car park cos the entire shop was exiting at the same time, then discovered the road I needed was closed so had to follow the diversion that turned out to be 124 miles long. Ah well job done and I managed to put it all away before they all started eating it so cupboards looked ful for about a minute LOL!!
Westie have you come down from the ceiling yet. My OH has a thing about shoes under the stairs but cos he works away we mostly ignore it but we have the Friday 5 o’clock shoe run to keep the piece!!

AJ - shopping sounds like retail nightmare therapy - poor babe. stores can really be a pain. but it depends on the shopper too. Speaking strictly for myself, OH and I went food shopping htis morning (yes, I was chomping at the bit wanting to get out and get it done!) and we purposely selected a store that was small so we could get in and out. RIGHT. Well we bought the store out for 2 stupid days while Andy and Jacque will be here!!! So it was the shopper in my case…
Lakes is becoming more a reality; getting wet feet anyone…I think thats the expression…
took a slight nap this afternoon (POINTS, I WANT POINTS FOR THAT WESTIE). but not before I did another clean for the GD; sons ar eone things, little girls quite another! And washed all the rugs on the first floor. And did a few washes (3) . And cleaned the bathrooms. sigh.
thinking of it as exercising my arm onlydoing REAL things instead of made up ones.
Wussed out and get cookies and refrigerator cookies for dessert.well…we have fruit too.
yes, am tired, but look at this way, I will defo sleep tonight!!!

I saw highlights later as I was at work when it was live [1.00pm our time]. It certainly was a spectacle, I don’t know how we are going to top that in 2012

Have slowed down a bit now - am collating all the socks in the odd sox box…ok - I am managing to make SOME pairs - but where have all the sock’s relations gone to?
Em - ok girl, you get points. Well done! A slight nap is better than none at all! And I’m not recovering from surgery woman - I did that months and months and months ago - it’s the chemo I have to recover from now!
Lakes - no cold feet here - and even Whitedragon says she’s coming - so we must hold her to it … she’s rather shy!
