I’m gutted to hear this. It is such sad news and it happened so quickly after the secondaries were diagnosed. RiP Aly and best wishes to her family and beastie

I am hoping that I can get to Aly’s funeral - if I do then I will be travelling from Preston Lancashire and heading down the M6 - happy to pick up anyone along the way who wants to join me.
Can’t committ to saying that I AM going yet. Does depend on the date and time.
simply don’t know what to say - another lovely lady gone…too many of us, methinks…
thoughts/prayers to her family - and to THIS family… xx
Such sad news, condolences to family and all friends xx
So shocked to hear this! ‘Spoke’ last week end when she came home from hospital and knew she was poorly but didn’t expect to hear this news so quickly. My thoughts are with Alys family and friends, she was a strong funny compassionate woman, now at peace. RIP Etkins xx
I’ve been working with Aly’s daughter and we now have a Just Giving page set up in Aly’s memory - proceeds to Cancer Research.
No doubt I won’t be able to post the link on here but if you PM me, I’ll let you have the URL.
Thanks.
RIP Eltiks . Another life taken too soon.

This is the first time I’ve logged on for a while and I’m so so sad to see this news. RIP Eltiks xx
I had an hour spare today and logged onto the internet and went time travelling back to the time when I first got in contact with Aly - and I read and re-read all the messages we sent to each other. Her diagnosis wasn’t good from day one, she said that they thought she had had the cancer for a number of years and that it would eventually come back. But she stayed positive, or she did with me, and she seemed to be the same way in every post I’ve ever read - she was so fiesty!! Which is one of the reasons that I warmed to her straight away. Then in August last year she posted that the chemotherapy hadn’t worked and there had been a spread… But she never gave up, she fought it every single step of the way. I never ever saw a single message that suggested that she had, or ever would, give up. And she didn’t. She fell on the battle field as a true warrior - one that I am proud to have known, and will never, ever forget.
And I thought I was all cried out…guess not!
