Firstly if anyone got the pic of us in the paper from our lovely pink party I would love a copy if it says anything! My daaughter took pics but would love a copy of the paper if in there! I dont get the Chronicle, ment to get one!
Well I am not happy as saw Mr Smith and he said he would not do anything about my swollen breast, back etc till he sees me next April as likes to wait 6 months or more after radiotheraphy!Feel fed up as cant wear a bra comfortably at all and cant use computer for long either and thats involved alot in my job! it makes my arm and shoulder feel heavy and feels like it swells! felt other than checking breasts was not in there 5 mins!
How does your arm feel Helen when at work on computer, does it make it play up ?
Hope Bev is ok now too
I am seeing Prof D on fri so wil get results of blood test ,dexa scan and tell him about tablet side effects etc
hope you got results of your scan Sharon 2 ok and everything was good
well I am going to Crete for a week on Tuesday so looking forward to that!
LOve to all of you and hope you are all feeling well!
Had a flu jab yesterday ,thought maybe best to, xxxxxxx
Hi,
Julie sorry to hear you did not get more attention at your appointment and that is a long wait. I guess they know what is best about waiting. Tricky with your job though as people expect us to zoom back to normal working after a while. Forgot to ask B again!! Anyway can we meet next week maybe? It will have to be Monday or Thursday for me. Any good?
Good luck all of you getting results and treatment this week. My cervical screening came back ok which was a relief as i was convinced i would get a dodgy result from the effects of chemo.

Hi Again
I would love to come out for a meal but will be in Greece next Tues till Tues 27th! If you meet next week I will be thinking of you all, but perhaps we can meet again in a few weeks time too! although forgot we will all meet up on the 31st anyway! love to you all ,off down town now!! xxxx
Had a very bad experience at the Dr’s yesterday. Rather than the nurse giving me the Zoladex implant, a Dr gave it to me. She tried to inject me with it rather than ramming it in. Seemingly it’s springloaded, well, that’s what the nurse was yelling at her, and that she should shove it in harder! I can take pain, I really can, but this was unbearable, I came out and cried in the car. i got home and could barely stand up. She can go practise on someone else next time. I know the have to learn, but not with me she isn’t.
All ok with me, hair racing back and a very nice shade of brown I might add. A hint of grey which looks silvery. Weight coming off, now 4lb lighter than when I started treatment, but still 2 stone overweight!
Off now to put on a 1lb as I fancy a chocolate eclair.
Are we in the paper this week? Forgot to get a chronicle so will get one tomorrow. I sent the photo of us all in, so I can do copies for anyone that wants one.
Hope you are all well. Sorry to hear your appointment didn’t go that well Julie. Hope you have a lovely holiday - time to relax and chill out a bit.
Lily - glad your screening results came back ok. Must be a big worry off your mind. Hope B’s lymphoedema has settled down a bit.
Daisy - Ouch!! I had similar experience where doc hit a nerve because it nearly shot me off the bed. Hope the pain has eased a bit. I’ve gone on to 3 monthly jabs now, much better.
Flora - Hope your treatment is going ok and your are not suffering too much.
Hi to everyone else, hope you are all keeping well
If we are meeting up next week, Thursday would be a better night for me, if that suits everyone else?
Not long now to the Ball… hope it’s another good night!
Hope to see you next week
Love Helen x
Hi,
next week is not looking good I am afraid. I spoke to Flora tonight (she is doing well) and she cannot do Monday. I have now got an impromptu parents evening to try to kick our Year 11s into action, well those that need it and have to attend. Oh just remembered it might finish at 6 will check and get back to you. Sharon2 how did your appointments go and when will you hear. Everything crossed for you as always. I did not spot us in the Chronicle but will check again. Hope you sent in one showing my better side ha ha!Thanks for doing that.Flora is going to post a link for us to look at masks for the ball. So look out for it and answer quick. Otherwise I will be forced to go as Scooby Doo or Spiderman - the only masks we have!
Daisy that sounds horrible and I hope it has gone off now. Any news on the job interview? Julie have a fab time in Crete and yes we must meet up on your return and moan at your lovely tan!Good luck with the Prof tomorrow, let us know how you get on.
Tracey I heard how it went, were you happy with the outcome. Glad he didn’t get off completely. Might see you at parents evening. If you are there come and see me
Lily x
Glad to hear you are doing okay, sorry some are still suffering aches and pains. I seem to be much better on the Femara than I was, tingling has stopped and not quite as achey. So hang in there Julie as it does get better!
Lilley, glad your smear was okay, I have just recieved my letter that mine is overdue, so something else to look forward to. You were right that I should be seen in between next appt with Prof. have to see lovely Prof.S in November for check up. I think the outcome of you know what was satisfactory, though would of liked it to of been longer! Hope that’s one thing we can put behind us now. I would love to meet up with you all but will be attending the evening next Thursday as I have a Year 11 who needs kicking into action! Let me know what the plan is please x.
Ethel, I would love a copy of the pic if that’s okay. Couldn’t find anything in the paper except about another pink party which had been organised by a Sharon!! they copied us ha ha.
Flora, glad you are doing well, you are nearly half way now. Might take you up on the shopping offer if you can stand it. What are we doing about the masks? are we ordering them separately and what type? please advise someone!
Sharon, will ring you to see how you got on, hope you are okay.
Hi,
Tracey you should have an ordinary email to home from Flora, giving a link to the masks. I could not decide so ordered 2 and will see how silly I look in each. Couldn’t you meet after the evening as i thought I was going home at 6! Hope I did not offend you with the kick into action bit. Yours is very careful with me as not sure whether I would blab or not. Anyway she’s lovely :)Make sure you come over and see me and will meet you over half term if possible. Fab that Femara is being kinder, long may that last.
See you soon

Hi,
looking forward to our masked ball on Saturday and please tell me you are not all going home early!! Do you know how infrequently I go to things like this. Yes got your email Helen and I replied. I have 2 masks, one is a cat with gold eyes, nose, whiskers and the other is a posh one with feathers. I might wear both. It has been suggested I could wear one on the front and one on the back of my head. Not sure what they are trying to tell me ? Hi Julie so glad you enjoyed your holiday, well mostly and you will make us all look pale after that sun. Do you have a mask?
Hi Gemma nice to talk to you and congrats on getting through all that treatment. You are very welcome to come over and meet us some time if you wish, a bit of a drive though. We all met through this site and have lots of meals out. I think thats all we do coming to think of it!! The new version of Slimmers world - all on the C diet. If we see it we eat it :)You are so young to have this and i hope you are getting back in to all the great things you had planned before this c…p hit the fan. Take care and most of all have as much fun as you can x
Love

Think the worse thing out of it is these bloody hot flushes!!!
Hi there
I’m another Essex girl quite new to this site.
I have DCIS- lump removed in September and axillary lymph nodes 3 weeks ago as my sentinel lymph node had cancer cells.
I got the good news on Tuesday that it hasn’t spread further. I’m off to see Prof Davidson to see what’s next for me. Good luck with the Ball on Saturday
XM
Hi missm,
once again you are welcome to join us any time if you feel like it as I guess you must be fairly local. We are all scattered around or in Chelmsford but meet in the middle. So sorry that you have this rotten disease but the Prof will look after you. He is really good at his job and has great results even if he is rather eccentric at times and always very late. He is really pro chemo and we all had it but they look after you really well over in the unit so no need to go into the hospital if you do have it. Lots of luck and do stay in touch
Lily x
Hi Lily
He is going to have a very hard job persuading me that I need chemo.
As far as statistics go I think I would only have a very small advantage having it and I really don’t want to go down that route.
We will see what happens Monday!
