Am ok for Wednesday, in total there will be 15 of us on Saturday.
Not too clever in the booby department, skin is broken and sore. Nurse had a look at it today and said it was fine. Having a bit of a glum time at the moment.
No replies to my begging letters for prizes, not even a sod off.
Things at home not too good either, son has turned into Kevin the Teenager and girly is just plain bloody moody. Add on that I find out if I am out of a job this time next week, and perhaps that will explain why I am glum.
Hi daisy, so sorry to hear you are having a rough time. Hopefully you will have turned a corner with the boob so that is one less thing to think of.
I will bring the extra tickets for you and don’t worry about the letters I never heard also but will chase them up with a call tomorrow.
Hi,
See you all Wed at the usual place. Daisy hope you pick up or you will be doing the macarayna with your arms folded to keep them still Good luck for the job, yikes.
Till Wed everyone else

I will come Wed eve , although may not eat , as cant get any money properly and borrowing of John who is also broke!
Well all for now. Hope everyone is ok and look forward to seeing you all wed evexxxx
Arghhhh…am hoping someone will read this before they dash off to the ‘meet up’. I can’t make tonight, I have a sore throat and have been sneezing today and basically want to spend the evening in my jim-jams - sorry.
My moby broke, so I got a new one, and consequently because I answered no rather than yes when it asked about numbers…I lost the whole lot. So, I can’t even text anyone to let them know! i have gone through my old messages for Julies number, then read her post saying her phone was stolen!!!
Sharon2 - do you want to give me the extra tickets on the night as posting them home is cutting it a bit fine.
Was feeling less down in the dumps until the leaking nose started!
Lovely to see you all last night, sorry you weren’t feeling too good Daisy, hope you are better for the party.
Well I’ve been up to HR this morning and collected the banner, balloons, Thankyou boards plus some HR leaflets to spread around. Does anyone have / or could borrow a helium machine to blow up the balloons? We have about 50 navy & white balloons with the HR logo on and I thought they’d look lovely on tables in bunches but really need helium to make them stand up. Please let me know if you have.
I’m sitting here with my phone on loudspeaker, my landline has gone down and I’ve been holding for 40 mins to Sky technical helpline! What a pain and a waste of time!
Well what a great night!!!
Didnt we do well. especially Sharon for orgainising it, Everyone seemed to enjoy it and raising all that money!!! Was very chocked up when told how much we made, loved being part of it all and hope to see you all soon!!
Got 2 appointments this week ,bone dexa scan and eye app for the flashing lights now, then week after consultant and prof D

Hi,
I’ll second that Julie. I think we were all fab but especially Sharon starting it all up and getting the hall, caterers, etc. I am slowly munching my way through the ton of fruit I bid for in the auction ha ha. See you soon for a celebration meal this time. I have asked Flora to tell the Prof what we have been up to, when she goes next.
Julie good luck with your tests. I have a check up with my surgeon at London Rd tomorrow.

I agree, felt on a real high and loved the whole night, we should definitely make it an annual event. I have some photos so will email them to those of you that I have an email address for.
Good luck with your scans Julie, and with your appt Lily. It was lovely to see us all ‘in the pink’ so to speak. Look forward to seeing you all soon
Hi,
its the short one in the photos here Thanks Helen and I have some too but need to ask someone to do the technical bit for me first. Good job none of you were with me when my son and his girlfriend did run 10k the next morning as it would have taken nothing to start the tears. The first back that passed me said in memory of ? ? who lost their fight last week and ? ? still fighting on. Gulp at that point I stopped looking. My appointment with the lovely London rd Doc went well and no problems. He wants to see me in 7 months which will fall on my 30th wedding anniversary so good plan to be able to go out to lunch that day. Prof will no doubt say I have to see him twice instead. I had a bit of progress as my surgeon wrote me blood forms to have my menopausal status checked so Prof will have to debate it with me now ha ha!
See you soon

HI everyone, I have just about recovered from Sat nite and handing the money in tomorrow when up at the hospital for my CT scan. Am slightly worried they won;t get a vein but will see tomorrow. We finally raised £2,150 so £350 was given to Audrey Appleton Trust, Recieved a lovely card from them today so will bring in when we meet. The photos have been sent to HRHCC so hopefully our success wll be in the paper this weekend. They also rang today to see if we would start a HRfriend group which meet quarterly to discuss fund raising etc. I said yes and Helen is in so what about everybody else. Hope to see you all soon, love sharon2 xxxxxxxxxxxx
Hi,
Sharon if I had read this post before my personal emails, this would ahve all made so much more sense. I was wondering what that was about. A fab amount of money to raise. Poor B has a sore arm and thinks lymphoedema since Sat so all keep fingers crossed it will ease off and not be a problem for her. Extra big hugs for the vein hunt tomorrow and hope they are all big and near the surface. Make sure you keep your arm very warm on the way there it makes a difference. Will you restart Tamoxifen straight after the scan or wait to see the Prof? Good luck matey x x
Julit glad to hear your eye scare was an expected side effect and nothing nasty. Crete sounds just the place to relax and get back to good health. Have a fab time.
Flora good luck for Friday, Tracey are you ok buddy x x
Daisy hi, Helen hi and hope your arm feels a bit better too.

Julie - I have called both of Prof D’s assistants/sec’s and said that I have been told by fellow patients that prior to seeing him on 22nd I need to have blood tests. Well, the first one didn’t even call me back, I had to ring her, then all she done was refer me to his one based at Colchester and she hasn’t called back either! Have you got your forms and who did you speak to at Colchester to get them? I feel a shouting session brewing.
Job wise I was made redundant! I have been invited to go for two other posts in the school, one I told them to go poke, the other I would really like, Assistant Head. That’s similar to Head of Year, but we are divided up into Lower/Mid/Upp schools, and the post will be in one of those, but not sure where. That’s assuming I get it. I am the only one being interviewed, so I stand some chance, if not, Apr 1st I am out the door with my P45. To say I am gutted is putting it mildly.
Healthwise, all good with me, just a bit achy in my knees, but apart from that nothing else to mention. I have had my flu jab and am having the Swine Flu jab in two weeks.
Hope everyone is fighting fit and is feeling unwards and upwards!
Hi,
oh nuts Daisy I am stunned that they made you redundant and sorry to hear that after your hard work with the toughies. The other job sounds interesting though and hope it works out well for you. Jabs sound horrible!
Lily x
Hi All
Daisy/Sharon I have been sent forms, rang Colchester and they the nurse asked him whlie he was there ,and she just said yes he does want you to have blood tests before and just sent forms!Good luck!
Hope your arms ok after all Bev ,
SHARON hope thet found your vein the other day! I am happy to fund raise!
wondered what that was about friends at Writtle!
Well I keep getting upset tummy .think its the famera! Having trouble sleeping !Although when take 2 amitriptiline I sleep!
Had dexa scan thu , results go to Prof D ,seeing him Friday! Seeing Mr Smith Tues!
love to you all juliexxx
Sorry to hear about your arm Bev, mine has settled down a bit although still not right, changing gear in the car is SO painful.
Daisy - what a bummer about the job, wish you luck with the other post. Just reading your comments about the blood, I have just seen one of the Prof’s sidekicks last week and wasn’t given any forms for blood previously. I chased everyone and no one wanted to give me a form. The BCN said it’s not always required so I went along to my appt and he said he wants me to have them for my next appt in 3 months but didn’t need them this time. I felt a bit left out as everyone else said I needed to have bloods done - still it’ll give my veins time to recover!
Don’t know how everyone else feels but I am doing thank you letters to all those that sponsored us for the pink party, just letting them know how much we raised etc. You never know, we might want to ask them again next year.
We must get together soon as we need to get masks sorted out for the ball on 31st.
Hi to Sharon2, Julie, Flora, Lily, Tracey (aka Maud :-))
Hi,
I am visiting the people who gave prizes and they seem to be really pleased to hear the end result and how much we raised. Glad your arm is improving a little Diamond but the gear change must be horrible. Will ask B how she is as she doesn’t post. Every time she did someone told her something she had not already worried about! Julie good luck with the appointments and keep us posted. Daisy good luck with the new job. Tracey how are you buddy, hoping that you will get some news to sort out you know who for quite some time. Sharon2 thank you for the text :)Flora how was the latest one?
