Glad you are off on holiday in April!! Helen , and must get together for a coffee soon x
love to all juliexxx

Hi,
Julie good luck with your return to work and don’t underestimate how tiring it will be. I should plan an easy week around it, lots of sitting and talking  I don’t think I will be at the support group but hope you enjoy it. Really glad your appointment went well and def chase up the mammo. Did you have raised blood pressure before or has the femara started it? I am seein gthe Prof or a junior most likely on Thursday. Must remember to go for bloods next week.
Lindsyloo lots of luck on Monday and we will all be thinking of you. Just think that will be one big thing ticked off your treatment list. I liked the idea that I would wake up with the dreaded C removed and was surprised that I didn’t even need painkillers in the days after. Hope all goes well for you and keep us posted.
Missm it seems like you are flying through chemo, although I am sure it does not seem like that to you on grotty days. Well done  Glad they sorted your sickness out and don’t forget on tax you need to paint your toe and finger nails with very dark nail varnish. It stops the light getting to the nail beds and gives you a better chance of keeping your nails. They drop off for many people but I think Sharon2 said the black nail varnish worked for her. Rads will be a walk in the park compared to chemo. Keep chugging along x.
Helen I would love to see you all in my birthday week if possible, better find out what family does are on as it is my youngest’s 18th as well, just 2 days before me. That is terrible no results yet. I think you should ring in case they are lost or mislaid. They need a kick up the backside!
Hi everyone else and hope to catch up soon
Lily x

Hi Ladies

Well I finally got my mammogram results when I saw Mr I last Monday, all ok but he found a lump on my right breast (the other one) which he wanted to get checked out. The radiographer had just left for the day so I’ve had to wait a week for an ultrasound ARGGHH! Have been terrified but its all done now and everything is fine - just normal lumpy breast tissue PHEW!!! Don’t have to go back for 6months although seeing Oncologist in April.

Julie, good luck back at work - I found it very tiring, just take it easy.

Good luck to Lindsyloo with the op, I am sure you are in very safe hands, so glad you will be wearing those boots. I am thinking of you.

Lily, let us know what you’ll be up to on your birthday week, hopefully we can meet up and celebrate with you. I am a bit tied up the week prior as it’s my birthday and now that I have had a clear mammogram and ultrasound, I’ll be celebrating too!!!

MissM - well done for getting halfway there, every chemo is one less to have. Rads are a breeze in comparison.

Lots of love to you all, keep well
Hx

Helen - great news matey.

I dared to bare today. I went wig free to school!! Lots of people did double takes when they saw me, but nothing but nice comments, but oh lordy, isn’t it cold!!

Will post again Thur once I have seen Nev.

Hi,
Helen I am probably almost as gobsmacked as you were to hear something else!! Thank goodness your luck was in this time and I really don’t know what to say, except that is so unfair to have all this. Hooray it is ok. You have a fab birthday and celebrate and yes would love to see you all if free. I will work out a day and get back to you.
See you Thursday Daisy I expect. We are having our usual canteen big breakfast first so will be ready for a big wait!
Love to everyone, especially those having nasty things done this week. I am off for blood tests and that is nothing in comparison but still wish I wasn’t going
Lily x

Fabulous news Lindsyloo - well done!! One major hurdle out the way. Keep in touch Hx

Hi
Linda just wanted to say well done you, that is abig bit over and just concentrate on recovery for a while. I used to have a waste paper basket at the side of the bed to drop my drain in when I slept so it could move with me but didn’t fall over and roll around or pull on the wound. Don’t know if that would help you at all. I moved into a single bed as hubby was scared he would hit it or dislodge it. By the way mine did not hurt at all when it came out
Good luck.

Saw Nev today (eventually…2hr wait)… all clear for me! Yippee!

Off now as I am shattered had no sleep for the last few days.

Well done Linda!

Daisy xx

Hi,
sorry could not see you anywhere when I came out Daisy.Fab results well done.
I waited an hour and a half to see him, actually saw Nev this time, but a lot of that time was waiting in the room for our turn. My hands on experience was fine and my tumour markers are down to 12 hoooray. Prof said that means nothing when I insisted he tell me them. I don’t care I was very excited by them and so are the family tonight. My Mum got really excited so glad to take some worry off her. I am still on Tamoxifen so now have a problem as there is no nolvadex and forgot to ask him as so excited about the other part! What an idiot.I stay on that for 24 months no matter what else changes as that is best thing for my hormone status he says.
I told him we have formed a group to check up on him. He thought this was hilarious and said I want their names!!! I told him we exchange notes to make sure he gives us everything we should have and don’t miss out. Then he actually got a piece of paper out and made me give him all your names!! Sorrry!!! He knew all of you and said we are all being invited to his fundraiser now. No idea what it is"! He wants to fund a rads unit in Chelmsford as when the Colchester one closes we will be forced to go to Ipswich every day from this area!!! That would be so bad every day as well as expensive.
Can we meet on Wed 3 or Thursday 4th Feb to comiserate/celebrate me becoming half a century?
Take care
Lily x x

Now I know what you have signed me up for ! He did mention it, but said ‘one of your friends suggested you’, I looked at him and said I bet I know who that is! I was right! He laughed.

3rd or 4th is fine by me, got my vice grip/tit squeeze on 3rd, what a joy. Then the lovely Prof Paul 22nd…

New job is going great, really enjoying it. I am only working 20hrs a week, going up to 25 the week after next, staying at 25 for 3 weeks, then going to review it again. Work have been brilliant as have the pupils. One saw me a few weeks back with my wig on, tofay he saw me ‘bare’ and said ‘wow, what a funky haircut Miss’, bless him, when I told him the other me was a wig he wouldn’t have it! Then he got really embarrassed and thought he had upset me.

Have a lovely weekend people… Daisy x x x
