Sorry to hear your chemotherapy was delayed but it’s for the best. If your blood counts are too low you could be really poorly with more chemotherapy. Your team know what is best.
It’s totally understandable to feel down about the delay but in the scheme of everything you are going through a week delay isn’t much. I had a temperature at week 8 of 12 weekly paclitaxel, had several lots of antibiotics as well as 6 nights in hospital to get the temperature and infection under control. I then had a reduced dose of chemotherapy to finish the last 4. I was ready on 85% dose due to allergies and heart issues, the. 75% for the last 4. The team said I would have had enough chemotherapy, they usually give more than you need as they can’t give an exact dose for each person.
Have you joined the monthly chemo starters group. I found these invaluable for support during chemo.

I’m sorry you don’t have anyone to go with you to appointments, I was lucky to have a very supportive husband who juggled full time work to help me.
