First FEC 2nd October

Hi everyone,

Not been on for a couple of days as have been incredibly tired. First time I’ve felt this wiped out and its floored me. But hooray, today am feeling better. Got up early for appointment to have Hickman flushed, all went ok, also got reassurance about it not falling out as thats whats been stopping me sleeping I think, am worried that if I turn on my side I’ll either pull it out or push it in too far ( bcn thinks i’m mad ) but can’t help it. Have also been and finished all my present shopping HURRAY only my veggies to get tomorrow and can then put feet up (sort of) and enjoy.

Hi Pheebs glad you are feeling much better.
Cat sending hugs (((((((())))))))) hope you back to full strength soon.

Hi
Just to let you know I,m still around. The Xeloda has knocked me for 6. I,m really struggling. Its all I can do to get out of bed and the nausea is terrible.
I,m so so cold all of the time, right through to my bones.

I am so happy that everyone is feeling upbeat and I hope you all have a smashing Christmas.
Take care everyone.

Meerry Christmas everyone!
I am on a “good” week before getting gunked again on 30th, love to you all xxxx

Hi Ladies
Well I doubt many of you will read this until the festivities are over. I,m probably the only sad git amongst us that,s not really celebrating, living in a Muslim country and all that.

I am feeling tons better, the last 48-72 hours were an absolute nightmare and I had a bit of a scare when I woke up vomiting. I,ve now got my pillows banked up so that nothing untoward can happen.

For those of you who have your tastebuds back, enjoy all the lovely food and I,ll raise a glass to you all tomorrow. It might be only juice but I can pretend LOL.

Here’s to all of us brave, strong, and more importantly - BEAUTIFUL women, both inside and out. Cheers to you all…

Happy Boxing Days Loverlies!

I hope you are all SE free, fuzzy headed (not from lack of hair but wine), fat bellied and happy!

Yesterday was nice, but testing…felt terrible last night, neutros must have hit rock bottom, but a bit of time out and I was ok again. Scary though…really thought I was going to finish crimbo in the hozzy.

Today I celebrated by washing my hair (lol) and made a banoffee pie…I may not be able to tast but texture is where it’s at!!!

I hope you all have a lovely few days/weekend and I look forward to hearing all your stories over the next few days.

PS: Got a fabulous piece of BRICS luggage to add to my collection - what did everyone else get?

Hi All

happy Boxing Day,

Pheebs Banofee Pie! what are you doing to me, didn’t think I could fancy anything else to eat but now…

I got lovely new dressing gown and slippers ( old ones reminded hubby of hospital ) Seal CD ( the singer not the animal lol ) and a Toy watch ( thats the make not an actual toy )
Bath Oil and salts from daughter and Jamie Oliver cookbook from son ( what is he trying to say ).

We had a lovely Christmas Day, dinner went smoothly, bubbly and Baileys went even smoother kids loved all their pressies as did hubby. No SE’s to speak of apart from really achy arm at night. Last FEC aggravated veins, but thats enough about that. All in all we are having a lovely Christmas, nice quiet day to day, cooked left over Turkey in a lovely Turkey and Leek Pie ( curtesey of aforementioned Mr Oliver )

Pheebs, sorry to hear you had a bit of a rough time last night, hope all ok now.

hope everyone else is ok hope to hear from you all soon
Bye for now
Love caz xx

Happy Boxing day!

Hopes you feels better now Pheebs… and Caz hope the arm is OK

Everyone else hope Santa was good to you!

I had a lovely relaxing day at my parents… Kids VERY happy with their pressies… youngest got Rock band for the wii… so now have electric guitar blasting away just as I was going to bed!

I was very happy with my bits… me to me… chanel perfume… a Jackson Pollock picture… jeans… long cardi (to cover big fat bum) + more!.. cds from the boys + body shop smellies and a lovely necklace from my oldest…

Caz… I got a Gordon Ramsey book… but saw Jamie’s Pie and it looked scrummy!

Am now looking on line at buying a piece of GYM equipment… feel I need to make an effort… tempted by a Power plate (pricey tho) like the idea of not much effort! or the Ijoy ride or igallop… Like a mini horse… without the poo and vet bills! LOL…

Hope everyone’s ok with SE’s and had a wonderful chrimbo with family and friends…

Off to pull the plug on the wii!

Hi Ladies,

Glad you’ve all had a nice time and lots of lovely pressies!

Sorry you weren’t too well Xmas night Pheebs and hope you are feeling better now!

It all seems such a long time ago now doesn’t it?

I have a lovely xmas though odd without my eldest here on Xmas morning. Got lovely pressies (I bought them myself and then gave them to OH to wrap or give to kids to wrap!) in the form of a spree I had at H&M, new shoes, Wii game (sonic). Went to church and then went to eldest’s for xmas dinner cooked by my mum. Bless, she’s only used to cooking for one so the main course wasn’t brill but she put loads of work and money into the starters (waitrose pates and cheeses etc) and thoughtful choccy gifts for after for each person. Got a percussion massager from my mum to try and revitalise my numb areas and Wii games from eldest along with pork scratchings (my fav) and wine (my fav too).

Everyone loved their pressies (prob because I brought them all including my mum’s to the kids, LOL) and we played lots of silly games. Came home at about 7 and curled up in front of the fire with a glass of bubbly and my jigsaw. Happy!

Went for a walk with mum and dog in the cold at Portishead yesterday and then watched movies and ate lots!

Tonight I am doing a dinner party for our best friends who happily are our next door neighbours so off to make french onion soup, pork tenderloin with a cider jus and then Nigella’s girdle buster pie!

Hubby has gone to his mate’s gay wedding as he was phoned on Xmas day and asked if he would be best man. He was best man when his mate had a straight wedding about 20 years ago so now has the honour of giving him away at his gay wedding. I was invited but only know one groom and there are no other women going and I have a dinner party to prepare for otherwise I would have loved to have gone!

No SE’s for me, am making sure I drink plenty as next chemo on the 30th.

Love to you all, xxxx

Greetings my beautiful cyber buddies,
It is great to read what lovely Christmas’s you have all had. Sounds like exactly what everyone needed. Certainly a moral booster to set ourselves up for what is to come.
Now we have New Year to look forward to. Really going to have to pace myself for that one, to be able to stay awake until midnight. I,ll probably sleep all day on the first and then on the 2nd back to Antalya for a body scan.

To go back over a subject that was covered earlier - wind…
Now, we all discussed how we could probably generate enough methane to power the National Grid…BUT you ain,t seen nothing until you combine TAX with Xeloda!!
Not only could I blow up a room full of party balloons all by myself, but the “ahem” aroma is dire. It is so bad, that not only do I have to leave the room, but the cats do too! :frowning:

Hope everyone is still feeling upbeat.

Soo the stinky xx

Evening ladies…Soo…we can smell your farts from here!!! Those poor moggies!

Ostrich: Your crimbo sounds lovely…you control freak you!!!

I have caught up on my sleep today…a marathon deep sleep of 4 hrs - wonderful! Visitors have all gone home (YAY!) and there’s just me, OH and daughter and a bottle of red. Oh yes…all those TAX ladies forget the white wine - try red - it’s so much better. Just be careful of the head next day - no excesses, ok! Homemade chips with ham and egg for dinner tonight. If anyone fancies joining me on a diet at the end of January please do…

So far I have had EVERY friggin SE in my super-duper taxo-friggin-tere booklet! Sweats, sore throat, horrid taste, cystitis, dire-rear, constipation, aching, sore feet, hands and nails, headache…blah-dee-blah-dee-blah!

On the plus side none of them have been too bad or unbearable just a pain in the ass.

4 Legs is full of left over turkey, duck, lamb and (god forbid) partridge and sends big licks to all of you.

Catch you soon and hope you are all well

Love all round xxx

Hi Ladies,

Not a control freak Pheebs, just family seem to have been lazier this year when you would have thought they would have made more effort! If I hadn’t done the pressie shopping the stockings would have been bare!!

I popped on to say hello but I am surprised I can type to be honest - our BFs (who happen to be our next door neighbours came round tonight and I cooked french onion soup with gruyer croutons, pork tenderloin wrapped in smoked bacon with mash, savoy cabbage and a cider jus and Nigella’s girdle buster for pud) came round for dinner and we have drunk a fair few bottles of rather expensive red wine and dessert wines). Everyone else has gone to bed as have work tomorrow (being policemen etc) or lightweights and I am still here as wanting to make the most of now as know I will be poorly New Years Eve!

I have been trying to down as much booze as I can since finishing my anti-biotics on xmas eve and before monday when I will have to drown myself in water to try and counteract all the boooze!!! Am trying to fit in celebrations now and did annual neighbours piss up tonight, drunk lots xmas eve and boxing day (cos I could) and am drinking tomorrow night with my BF for life (I love her - BF before and fellow BC sufferer so joined at the heart and hip) before trying to re-hydrate self to look like good cancer patient with blood in veins on Monday for bloods rather than pure alcohol!!!

Intending to sleep lots on the 30th and 31st early evening as OH and neighbours still planning lots of alcohol and loud music so unless kimo knocks me out enough I’m gonna have a go at joining in, even if it be on the ginger beer!!! (only thing that stops me hurling post kimo!)
My smell thing has died down somewhat as my wound has cleared up nicely and a large bit of dead tissue fell off when I had my wound dressed today so only have a teensy bit of dead tissue left to be dissolved and then we are looking at getting it to heal from the inside out and as its only about 1 to 2 cm deep I am hopeful it will heal quickly from here on and skin will grow on it rather than more surgery or stitches!

My mum didn’t cook the best Xmas dinner as she is only used to cooking for her and her dog but she did a fabulous starter courtesy of waitrose.com and a nice pud followed by individual chocs such as motorbike chocs for OH, fairy ones for youngest, spiders for 16 year old son etc (my daughter’s job it turned out was dressing the table etc but she had a big drama about it and won’t ever attempt xmas dinner for 6 again apparently! LOL!).

Soo, so sorry your bottom is playing up! If its any consolation mine was sooooo bad post 3rd FEC that I am getting piles and thats really annoying as I haven’t been constipated - quite the opposite with consequent rottom smell to boot!!!

Good news though!!! My slough (dead tissue has all but been dissolved/fallen off thanks mainly to the honey) I only have a teensy bit left and once thats gone I can concentrate on growing tissue and skin!!!

Additional good news !!! I have baby bum fluff on my head and I’m only post 3rd FEC and facing 4th on Tuesday. Because I only went for a a No 1 I still had sparse black hairs and now I have a fuzzy covering of white bum fluff!!!

Extra good news!!! My eldest brought me Prince Narnia on Wii (didn’t ask for it, asked for platform game) and despite 16 year old son tutting and f*ing and blinding about how cr*p his mum was on a any kind of fighting game I managed to defeat some baddies and get to level 3 (even though son had to walk out of the room cos otherwise he would have spat a pile of feathers at me for my incompetence!) - I is a Wii master!!! (well in my world, LOL!)

xxx Love to all, rabbit over, xxx

Morning all

Morning Wii Master! How’s the head?! I thinks the wii master was a wee bit merry last night :O) go girl!
Glad the back is healing finally… I too have the bum fluff head! so proud :o)

Feels like Christmas is over now… I wont be out partying New years eve :o( as have Number 5 on 31st! … + PICC at 8.30 am! bloods Tuesday at bl**&y 8.20am!!! Like you Ostrich I will be teatotal Tuesday… so 2 more days of drinking left… have read a report about “fasting” before Kimo… a trial on some mice… some fasted some feasted… the fasting ones dealt better with effects of kimo! they did have a very high dose… o and the feasting ones died!!! SO mes gona try fasting Tuesday… worth a shot! ( she says now… haha with a house full of mince pies, quality streets and another Tesco delivery winging it’s way here as we speak!)

Hope you had a good christmas Caz and good luck for Tuesday.

Avonlea, Soo, Irina, Liz, Cat, Pheebster and Bella Hope you had a great Christmas too and are SE free!

Morning Ladies,

I’m whispering that incase you’ve got a hangover Ostrich ( or should that be Wii master )! Sounds like your dinner party was a success, food sounded scrumptious.

Hey Lorna, bloods at 8.20 god they’re cr*p with their times aren’t they. Hope all goes well for No5 on Weds. Just think on Thursday you can say ‘I’ve only got ONE left’.
Those poor mice, still at least they got to have their last supper!!!

I had a lovely Christmas thanks. Feels a bit flat now though. I hate that feeling between Xmas and NewYear, its almost like theres something missing - will just have to fill the hole with chocolate - well it’ll only go to waste otherwise and that would be tragic munch, munch.

Taking the kids to the cinema this arvo to see ‘Bedtime Stories’ i love Adam Sandler so am hoping its going to be good as reviews in paper haven’t been kind.

Hope everyone is feeling OK.
Caz xxxx
