Caron,I’m exhausted I think I’ll sleep well tonight! Hope you do too!
Dear all,
How wonderful today was. I loved meeting you all and did not want to go home. The only good thing about BC (!!!) is that I have met such a lovely group of women.
Bought snacks, waited 3 mins for a bus, got a Macdonalds (naughty) and home by 7.40.
Totally knackered. Just catching up on my recordings of celebrity masterchef and then off to bed!!! Exhausted!
Love to Shell - we missed you today and all thought of you so much!
Gxxxxxx
Hi Girls
Great afternoon. Thank you Victoria for organising us, you really must do it again. Home before 7pm to dinner all cooked for me - spoilt or what.
Off to Canterbury tomorrow with OH.
Take Care
Andie
Hello all, (I am writing for Victoria as well cos she is shattered).
Had wondeful time today meeting you all! the lemon tart we had was FAB !! (worth the calories!).
I thought you ALL looked fab !!
And Shelly if you do read this you were sorely missed today, hope we get to meet you soon.
Looking forward to meeting you all again (only next time I might be able to walk ??)
love Caron xxxx
OHH ANDIE & you said it wouldn’t get in the oven lol !
Hello Ladies, Really lovely to see you all today, Shell so sorry you weren’t able to join us.
I met Michael and the kids afterwards, and then he made me trudge halfway across London, in my new sandals, to go to Harrods! What a treat, it’s our 10 year wedding anniversary next month, and we went to look at a tiffany ring! Then we got a cab to Leicester square to take Kids for a meal. They were really excited as never been in a proper black cab before, it was a big deal for them! Then we got tube to waterloo and train home! So I’ve got one exhausted husband, entertaining kids all afternoon, 3 shattered, hysterical kids and blisters galore! but I have had a wonderful day and it’s given me a real lift meeting you all, so thanks again Victoria for organising and well done Caron, for coming down such a long way especially when you’re struggling walking!
Will scan and e mail tomorrow, it was a bit late by the time we got home!
Take care everyone and safe journey home tomorrow Caron.

Emotionally elated, still physically exhausted. I’ve slept all morning and I think I’ll be asleep again this afternoon.Caron I think you’re amazing doing that journey.
Gail, I was really hopin g to do a swap with you, but you love Kai far, far, too much. I can see that.
I looked round the table yesterday, with all our ills, we looked wonderful… what a lively lot we are.
John couldn’t believe we could talk that long, he knows I can, but considers that abnormal, so thinks I’vr really met people on my wavelengh. for once he’s right. You’re all lovely without exception and what a priviledge to call you my friends. We missed you Shell but you were never far away.
Love to all. Gail fell asleep last night with my heart in my hand.Such a thoughtful gift, thank you.
KATHY
Hi Ladies

Hello ladies,
It really was so lovely to meet you all yesterday and share mutual experiences, hopes and fears. Shelley so sorry you couldn’t join us but you were in our hearts and in our thoughts.
I have been feeling incredibly tired hence I must be the last to post, and just got back from the train ride with Caron as far as Peterborough where I had an opportunity to see Betty again, and can confirm that she must be the cutest dog in the whole world. Even with my entrenched dog phobia, I was not the slightest bit afraid of her and even picked her up. This really is such a big step for me.
Thank you again for the silver heart Gail, I’ve placed it next to an angel statue that Caron gave me: good thoughts against the demon disease.
Thanks also Jo for doing the scanning - no excuse now to forget people’s birthdays!
Love and light Bright x
Hello lovely ladies,
ANDIE you asked me to change my pic !! so here are my dainty feet!!
I am now thinking about the walking thing that maybe the water is in the thighs and thats why I find it hard to walk?? don’t know whats’ causing my balance problems though??
Well the nurse is coming on Tuesday so I’ll tell all this to her.
I must thank GAIL for the lovely heart I am putting it next to my bed and I will take it to hospital with me , wish I had thought of something like you did Gail, A BIG THANKYOU MEANS SO MUCH.
We said next time we must book a round table so we can all talk & hear each other as I did think I was to far away from Jo & Kate.
I really enjoyed it though can’t thank Victoria enough for putting me up (hope I wasn’t too much trouble) and for getting all the taxi’s buses and train’s for me cos I couldn’t walk.
Also for showing me the sights of London most enjoyed were The woman in black and the bus/ferry tour.
Well must go Betty is having a mad moment with Owen ! think they are dancing ?? lol.
Just tell you this quick that Diane who was 3 weeks behind me has her surgery date on 8th July (so just after me).
Also came home to some horrible news a woman who owned a chippie with her hubby (really popular one) has died of Lukemia (not spelt right I know) she was 29 !! very scary indeed all this.
Also got to say Gail I think you are very witty love your sense of humor!!!.
Hope I’m not up tonight with Kate???.
And Jo if you lost anymore weight you would fall through your knicker leg!!!
love Caron xxxxxxx

Hi Girls
This last weekend has got to be one of the best ones I have had since the BC was DX.
Firstly I met up with all you amazing girls, You all look great, you all sound great and in fact you all are great. Thank you so much Gail for the little heart, it is safely stored in my bag and has been with me all weekend quietly making its presence know. Caron you were so brave coming all that way with the problems you are having with your pretty? feet at the moment. Jo you are so positive and have given me such a lift with your outlook you put me to shame and next time I feel a meltdown coming on I will try and think of your lovely smile. Victoria thank you for organising the meet for us, especially so soon out of hospital. Next project - baking -you know what I mean.Kathy I know you intend screaming at the next person that compliments you on your hair but believe me girl you look good.
Caron I hate to rain on Peters parade, yes dinner was on the table ready and well cooked but I had phoned him from the train with instructions!
Sunday we headed down to Canterbury quite early. The Cathedral
Is somewhere I have wanted to visit since my DX but every time we have tried to get there the fates have been against us and I have been poorly.I don’t have Victoria’s eloquence but the atmosphere is so peaceful and calm and I just seemed to enter and relax. There are lots of quiet corners away from the main body of visitors where we lit candles and sat quietly with our own thoughts and prayers. You were all there with us in spirit if not in body and especially Shelly.
After dinner at the hotel we revisitied in the quiet of the evening, the doors are closed by then but we just sat outside in the gardens.
The hotel was on the outskirts of Canterbury, about a 15 minute walk there and then back again. We did that twice and also wandered around Canterbury itself. I am so pleased that I could do it - I thought my energy levels were recovering and this has proved it for me. Today I am shattered but quietly content.
I hope you are all doing OK
Lots of Love
Andie/Eileen
Well done Shell, and well done to your friend Gemma to! You’re superwoman!
Jo X
Shell, you’re AMAZING!!! Well done!
Love Kathy
Hi ladies,
BCN phoned this morning, offering me an Odessey holiday. It is something I really want to do. It is a sort of outward bound sort of thing for cancer sufferers. You do all sorts of things, sailing etc.
It takes you out of yourself. I think, I KNOW,I have looked introspectively for the last 11months and it would be good for me to take a step out of my own kinesphere and see LIFE from a different place. Normally I would have jumped at the chance, John is away next week and the hound is in kennels, but I have the dentist, Maggies and the oh so patient counsellor. Ithink she may be in therapy before she’s finished with me.
I’ve told BCN thanks, but no but keep me in mind, maybe next year.
Finding I’m still tired from my busy week, so taking it easy, maybe I’ll get to yoga this wednesday.
I hope you’re all doing well.
Love Kathy
Flamin’ Norah! No-ones getting me in a Kyak!
Hi
Kathy the amount of rain and hail we had here yesterday evening I’m surprised that we are not all kyaking down the street!!
