Oh my goodness! This gives me mega seratonin  piggies are my favorite! I use to own them all time and now i have my own home and little one the plan is eventually to be a piggy mum again. I went to pets at home other week and it was my sertraline for day :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: so cute!

Hope all goes well! Just think of it as start of things to get better and the start of the C going away! I can see why you are nervous though.x

Aah. How cute @gromit12 and he probably doesn’t fart and roll in fox poo like my dog does.
To whoever was asking about nails the other day I’ve been to the chiropodist today and she told me in France breast cancer patients are advised to use La Roche-Posay Silicium on their nails. It’s a varnish but it says “Suitable for patients undergoing cancer treatment”. I think it has to ordered from France but it’s not expensive.
I’ve had a bit of a scare. I’ve finished chemo and apart from Herceptin that will finish in September and Leterosole I’ve finished because I turned down the offer of 5 or 15 radiotherapy and thought I’d take my chances. I just wanted it to be over. Last Friday I went to a “sign off” appt with the BC nurse and she swiftly referred me back to my surgeon. I’ve got an appt tomorrow. My nipple and areola have gone a bit weird - changed colour, rock hard, spreading. I really don’t want to start all this rigmarole again from the beginning. The nearer I get to tomorrow the more I’m dreading finding out.

@magl So sorry to hear you’ve got that worry. I hope tomorrow goes ok and you get an explanation that is ok. Hugs.

Thank you @carrie5 . My sensible half is telling me there’s no point in worrying in advance but the half that is thinking the worse is getting louder.

Hi @bigpickle - Good to hear from you. You are also in the dog brigade! Hooray! Well done on getting some new bras. I need to take a leaf out of your book. My post-surgery ones are so comfortable that I went to bed without one the other night and it felt so alien that I went back to wearing them again the next night. You are sounding bright and energised. Bloody fantastic!

@erica - Thinking of you today, lovely one. You will be ok. Holding your hand and sending you love and strength.

Thanks @naughty_boob. I MUST make contact with my physio. You have reminded me about this. I don’t think it feels as uncomfortable as yesterday so hopefully it was something I did (like going to bed without a bra). I MUST do more exercises too.

@gromit12 I love guinea pigs. Bubble and Squeak look edible! (I don’t mean literally; I’m a veggie!) We used to have one called Puff who didn’t get on with our rabbit so he lived on a tray in the hall. We used to have full on conversations with him. He was excellent. Big up guinea pigs too!

@magl Thanks for the nail tip. All gratefully received. I really hope they can put your mind at rest today with regard to the weird nipple area. Every little twinge is going to niggle us now, I’m sure. I hope you managed to quell the voice that was thinking the worst and, if you didn’t, I hope that you can prove it wrong. Let us know.

We’re almost at the weekend, folks!

@salbert the lady I spoke to was fab and had suggestions how we could get the husband some help via stealth mode! I agree it must be really hard for them having to watch it all unfold around them. We are also very alike in how we think about things so what panics one of us is usually a trigger to the other one too :see_no_evil:. Hopefully an outside influence can help us stay on the right track x

Blimey, sounds you have had experience of both sides! It’s hard when you are trying to support each other but both panicking! Hope you are coming out the other side of Covid and the peanut butter M and M’s were worth it! X

@magl I’m sorry to hear of your scare, I hope the appointment goes well and it isn’t anything to worry about. It so normal for us to worry about the what if’s but we’ve all been there.

@erica thinking of you today having your injection and tomorrow for your surgery.

The sun is shining, time to play with the dog in the garden.

Phew. Panic over. The weird nipple/areola thing is nothing to worry about. Just lymph fluid draining from my seroma into my breast, hardening things up and generally causing havoc. There’s nothing to be done except wait, massage and exercise. I’ve already waited 7 months and am getting too impatient. Reminder to self: Calm down.

Hi @magl , delighted for you! Good for the rest of us to be reminded that not everything we find is necessarily bad news. I shall also bear your explanation in mind as my own pet seroma is very gradually going down. Hope you have a celebration tonight.

@gromit12 those piggies are adorable ! When my neighbours went away two christmases ago I looked after their little pigs and they are so cute … the squeaks!

@salbert you are probably on to something , dogs are quite often brought into hospital as therapy dogs at my hospital … I hope we are on the same training session too  you are correct… I have baby hair !! I’m so excited

@bigpickle I am loving your PMA (positive mental attitude )

@erica I hope everything went ok today xx

Hey all, @magl so glad you got your mind out at ease. @salbert is right every nighle sets us all off. I have been the the GP three times for the same thing as I am such a worrier now :see_no_evil:

Has anyone got any tips as to whether we should massage our scars. I am six weeks post surgery Saturday and wonder whether I should be starting to massage my scar? Also what cream are people using on their scars? Xx

That’s an impressive fuzz @arty1 . Mine is coming on in leaps and bounds but is disappointingly non-curly. Roll on full heads of hair.
