Bit of a delayed reaction - have only just noticed this thread. I live not far from Portsmouth. It would be nice to meet up with you and anyone else in the Portsmouth area who’s interested. I’ve got one more chemo to go and getting bit tired after each one so would need to fit it around that, but not working at moment so got far too much free time! Hope we can sort something out.

Hello Otus, I am at the same stage as you, what days do you do your chemo mine is a Tuesday at QA. I am obviously more the age of your Mum judging by your photo but if you want to meet up and discuss symptoms or just stay on line I am happy.Let me know if you are interested same goes for woollycardy.

I’ve got chemo this Thursday but will hopefully feel not too bad by the beginning of June. Don’t know where you will be with your cycles by then? I would love to meet up with other people going through the same stuff for a chat.

I have just had my forth dose of chemo and changed from FEC to Docetaxol 4 down 2 to go!!
I would like to meet up and I am also not working so can pretty much do any day side affects permitting as the chemo is taking its toll.

I’ve been pretty tired and spending lots of time with my sofa this week and trying to motivate myself…

I have just had my 4th chemo and you do feel low straight after. I am in Purbrook so could zip up to you or meet in waterlooville. Do you put your phone no in the personal bit- I don’t know.

Allison & everyone - Waterlooville is good for me and not to hard to get to - maybe we could meet up in Costa. How does anyone feel about next Tuesday or Wednesday morning?? It would be good to meet up and have a reason for me to get out of the house out too!

Hi all
I have just signed up today to this forum and there seems to be a wonderful amount of support.
I was diagnosed with Grade 1 BC at end of March and had image assisted wide local excision (lumpectomy) and sentinel node excision on 4th April. Results showed that lumph nodes were clear thankfully but needed to have a further op 5 weeks later to get a clearer margin. Had results of this last week and all OK. Feeling upset about change in breast and nipple size and shape. Also dreading going back to work.
I am 58, divorced and live alone. Have had fantastic support from friends. Family have also been great but they all live min. of 3 hours drive away. So feel like I am dealing with this on my own most of the time. Also am up one minute and feeling fairly flat and shattered the next.
Is there anyone else in similar position? Do you think my feelings are normal?

Can you tell me a bit more about the STARS group you meet up with in Chichester. I live in Botley (near Southampton)and feel I need the support of people in same position as myself because my friends just don’t seem to “get it” so to speak even though they are trying their best to be very supportive. How do you find local groups that are not necessarily hospital based?
