Hi, I’m new to this site and from Southampton. 19 months post op (TNBC 1.5 Grade 3 no spread) but still worrying a lot of the time. Like a lot of you I don’t like to talk about things too much with friends and family as don’t wish to upset them even though everyone has been wonderful.I sometimes feel I need people to talk to in the same situation and I see you all meet up regularly so if you do something in Southampton area please can I come too? xx

Welcome to the Portsmouth group. Are you now on Tamoxafin or similar? Did you have chemo, if you did how long did your hair take to grow back properly. Sorry to fire you with questions but I finish last rad on Monday and then am looking forward to getting back to ‘normal’. If you start another thread yourself and put Southampton in the subject title you will probably get lots of responses from your area. We have met as far as Hedge End M&S is that too far for you?

Hooray!!! You will have had your last rad by now. I think we should all meet up again one afternoon and celebrate. I am free at the moment most afternoons from 1.30 onwards but will gradually have to start trying to work full days. So maybe we could all meet again next week. What do you think?

What do you think about meeting up again week so that Bernie can meet us if she wants to come to either Hedge End or Fareham or Portsmouth? I know Helen is in Scotland but think I may be away the following 2 weeks or at least for some of that time as I will be on hols.

Yes, it would be nice to meet up next week. Can only do Wednesday or Thursday though as I’m away Monday and at the hospital Tues and Friday (where do the weeks go?) Seeing the cons. on Tuesday so keeping fingers crossed that everything is still stable - always get a bit nervous. Will be ready for a cuppa and a chat!

Hi Frances, I am on hol at the moment so can’t meet up until september really. It was nice of you to think of me. No I didn’t have chemo, it was such a small percentage that I weighed it up and decided not to. I’m not on any mediacation as I am a rarity - triple negative - which doesnt respond to any hormone treatments so at the moment there is nothing else available. I would love to meet up with you all sometime soon though. Best wishes to everyone. And don;t worry you can fire as many questions at me as you like! Berni xx

Apologies for delay in responding - much excitement about collecting son from Heathrow after his epic tour of USA!! Yes I did mean w/c 29 August. So shall we go for Wednesday at M&S again at 1.30ish? Am far too unimaginative to think of any other place! What do you think. Yes I think Helen (Woollycardy) is still on hols but not sure.
