HO HUM its that time again!; )

Hi Ali

Poor you! No wonder you haven’t been posting. Love to your little boy and hope he gets better soon. It has been a while now hasn’t it? Good on you with your sister in law! I bit my lip the other day when I had a friend on the phone going on at length about how much she would have suffered mentally if she had to have a mastectomy, her worst nightmare, makes you a non-woman etc etc How tactful can you get? Just kept telling myself it was her idea of sympathy and tuned out!

Loads of love

Good afternoon ladies,

I’m so sorry I’ve totally neglected you all this past couple of days! Been busy, busy, busy around the house and just haven’t had a moment to log on. Apologies!

Mel - How you doin? Sorry to read of your OH shutting you out, I hope you have managed to have a good natter and maybe get to the root of whats going on his head. Bl**dy men!!! I hope all goes well with your onc tomorrow. I too have an appt tomorrow, a check up with my surgeon, so I will certainly be thinking of you. What time is your appt?

Ali - I was pleased to hear your weekend was ‘normalish’ after your 2nd Tax, but sorry to hear you’ve had a rubbish few days since. I really hope your little ones croup improves asap.

Dawn - Its nice to hear that you’re feeling more human after your 10 rounds withTyson!! You’re doing great! Thanks so much for the good luck wishes for the house valuation. I can’t believe your Gp, what a nightmare! When I was first diagnosed I had to see a doc that I really didn’t want to, the whole experience was horrid. He couldn’t get rid of us quickly enough and I actually think we made him feel uncomfortable!! Never seen him since thank god as I refuse to!

Dilys - How did your lunch date with your friend go? Check you out galavanting! Good on 'ya. I hope all goes well with your final Tax on Thurs, what time are you going? Do be sure to let us know how you get on! I have my rads planning session on Thurs morn, scary stuff!

Lyndsey - I am so glad you had a fab weekend, you certainly deserve it.

Well, the valuer has been… thought our little house was awesome, said he couldn’t really divulge too much as he was supposed to report straight back to Wimpey but did say he would price it at the very top end of the scale for houses round here. That was great news!!! I’m off to see my surgeon tomorrow for a check-up, bit nervous, not sure why! Then its off to the other local (ish) hosp first thing Thurs for my rads planning. Also, had an appt through for next month for my Pre-Herceptin heart scan! So, its all go at my end!! I’m apologising in advance in case I don’t log on for a bit,

Take care and love to all,

Kelly

Hi Kelly and everyone

Kelly - you are as busy as I am! So pleased about your house. Just great. Another roller coaster indeed. Good luck tomorrow and Thursday. I have the onc and bloods tomorrow and hopefully the final taxotere on Thursday. Fingers crossed for us all. And had a great lunch with my friend Jennifer who is a star of the first order. Could have chatted on for hours and hours about all and everything. She is one of the strengths in my life - you know them don’t you?

Mel - how are you? And Dawn - any better? Really hope so. Ali - how is your son? Any better my love>? Lyndsey - how goes it with you?

Much love

Hurrah!

Normal service has been resumed…i feel less like I have been hit by a bus and Thomas has been significantly better this afternoon. Here’s hoping tomorrow will be back to normality. Have had a nice quiet evening - hubby playing badders, kids went to bed early,I have been catching up on Heroes and Prison Break…much better - but I still would prefer the book and the cat Dilys!!
Feeling a little bit bad for being nasty to my sis-in-law, but hey she should think before she types!
Glad you had a good couple of days Kelly, and the house thing sounds really promising, fingers crossed for you.

Hope you other girlies are OK tonight. Catch up tomorrow.
Love and hugs

Hi all you lovely ladies,

I’m glad to hear everyone’s feeling more upbeat. Feel more like my old self too, I just love that when you get over that grotty bit and start that ‘getting your life back’ bit.

I think we all know someone who means well. My WMF (well meaning friend) told me not to worry about losing my hair as she was sure I’d find creative ways to wear a scarf!! lol.

My better half and me went out last night for a meal with our closest and very dear friends, it was lovely and I felt nearly normal again - manage to last till 11.30pm. It’s funny really but my friends’ husband is the only male who talks to me openly about my cancer and treatment and will get on the phone and chat to me.
All the other male friends just ask if I’m ok, has anyone else found this.

Well promised myself that I wouldn’t sit in my PJs all morning reading and posting. and the dogs sitting by his bowl wagging his tail expectantly.

Hope you all have a good day

lots of love

lyndsey x

Good morning all

Lovely to hear everyone is perking up. And the sun is shining here as well. I found that with most male colleagues, Lyndsey. Think they were embarrassed by the word breast! The exception was a very close gay friend of mine. Also some non work male friends who have had the experience of cancer in their family - they are just great.

I have my bloods cone today and see the oncologist - wish me luck!

Wish you all a good day

Much love

Morning ladies,

I hope we are are feeling v.g this fine morning. OH has just gone off to play golf so gives me time to come on here before I have to get ready for the hosp.

Wishing you lots of luck Dilys for your bloods and the onc today, I really hope all goes well.

Glad to hear normal service has resumed at yours Ali!

Well ladies, I’m well nervous, and for once it has nothing to do with bc, hurrah!!! Waiting on a call from the lovely people at Wimpey either today or tomorrow to see whether the house is a goer. I don’t mind telling you I’ve got butterflies in my tummy thinking about it! At least it is taking my mind off my appt this afternoon and rads planning tomorrow!!!

Have a lovely day all, whatever you are up to. Hope you are all able to enjoy this lovely weather!

Take care,

Kelly

Hi All

Dilys good luck today with your bloods and appointment, hope it all goes smoothly for you. And isn’t it great with the sun shining today … makes us all feel better.

Kelly, keeping everything crossed for you with regards to the house - it is so exciting and I hope you get really good news and go and buy a new house. You deserve it.

Ali, glad you are feeling better today and that Thomas is doing good too. Normal service has resumed. I too am feeling so much more human today, mouth only slightly tender now, and aches nearly all gone.

Mel, hope you are OK today and that the sun is shining up there where you are … hope things have settled down at home for you and you are feeling more normal. Good luck today with your onc, and good luck tomorrow for your chemo. Hang in there, you are doing great.

Lynsey, good to hear that you are doing well today too. Sounds like we are all much better and on top of it all again.

Out for lunch today with my friends and all the kids (oh my god), it is one of the mums birthdays so off to the pub (got play area), so will keep the 4 year olds amused. Sure Jack will have me up and down like a yo-yo, so good job I am feeling much more normal today.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU WITH ONC appointments and bloods and everything else.

Take care

Hi All,

Hope all onc visits and bloods are going well! Saw my onc - I have a big grin! hehe The tumour has shrunk by less than half (orignally 10cm) so I am really pleased that I am feeling the way I do is all for nothing! then he says that if it keeps shrinking then I may not need Tax ; ) and after no:4 (tomorrow depending on bloods) He is going to get the surgeon to look at me, ammagrm etc to decide whether I can have surgery before xmas So as you can imagine I am feeling loads better. Onc reckons that I have been feeling low is due to my hormones and that as I have been suffering hot flushes then I may possible be in the change - WHAT I’m 34!!! The Change! Ah well suppose it has to happen sometime…

Anyway I hope all are well nurse just been and took bloods so will find out later if chemo on tomorrow!

Kelly - I hope that your house dreams work out - mine did!

Dawn - Kids and lunch - you are very very brave! Hope you are well…

Lyndsay - whats wrong with PJ days!!! I love um… hope you are well and normal days are good…

Ali - Glad to hear Thomas is on the mend and that you are feeling well.

Dilys - I hope your onc visit went well and the vampires did not take too much xx

Well sun is shining BUT did anyone read todays Daily Express (bored whilst waiting for onc) We are expecting 130mph storms but others are playing it down, this is all suppose to happen in November!!! Do they have crystal balls???

Anyway Love, hugs and wishes to all

That is fabulous news for you about your tumour - way to go. Now you have no excuses not to grin like a cheshire cat … so pleased for you and the fact you might not need to have tax is awesome. Cos it aint nice I can tell you.

Hope bloods OK for tomorrow too, then might mean you have nearly finished chemo too if onc decides no tax … how are you about maybe having surgery before xmas, hopefully ok, as at least things will be moving and over before xmas arrives, and then you can really relax and enjoy.

Am soooooooo pleased for you. Making me smile too.

Love to everyone else and hope that you all had good results too. Lunch was OK, bit manic, but good.

Take care everyone

Dilys - congratulations with your last taxol - brilliant !

Hi All,

Everyone seems to be doing good.

ahh Dylis you can drink my share of the champers - I luv it - but at the mo I can’t drink it - it’s so sad.
Lesley I’ve got a Picc line in and if it’s the same it was no problem honestly.

It doesn’t look the sexiest of of things but hey it’s saved me weeks of having a painful arm. got phlebitis with first chemo cos they couldn’t find the vein. the second lot was a doddle administering wise, and a good excuse to go shopping for some new tops with baggier sleeves. Good luck at the bingo.

Mel thats fab news so pleased for you.

well gotta go being picked up for lunch

Good luck all

Lyndsey X
