So glad all seems well. Am well impressed with my hospital. First the BC nurse rang about my bloods to ask if the surgeon had sent me to the Chemo Unit to see about my blood. Err no. But to expect a call from them! Sure enougth the Chemo Unit rang three mins later. Neutrophils right down, but no panic unless I run a temperature or feel ill. Neither of those things! I suspect this happens anyway. But I am so grateful that they care. They are brilliant.
Tired now so really can’t say much other than love to all. Explosive breast next week then! They are coming from Barts to Newham specially for me.What can you say? Well done those people and the NHS.
Just thought I would let you know my boss/mum no 2 was dx with grade 1 bc today. Shes fine, she seems to be quite positive according to her thread…and she called me tonight to say her and her daughter had been to Tesco and bought ice cream and cakes and rubbish etc and seemed fine…she called me when she was at hospital in between dx and chest xray to tell me!LOL I guess we will have a good old chat 2m. They have told her the op will be 8th Nov and she may not need chemo. I wouldnt have thought so seen as its grade 1??? whats your thoughts at that?
Kelly - have you sold that house of yours yet?LOL
Julie41 - hello again!
Ladies with children - bet the kids are knackered after first day back? at least you should get some peace!
All you other ladies, hoping your well and sending best wishes.
Oh Lynne, that sucks doesn’t it. Sorry to hear about that. She sounds upbeat though and at least it is at an early stage. I have to take my Mum tomorrow morning at 8.30 so am hoping hers is all a misunderstanding!!! I can’t cope with getting her through treatment as well as myself…selfish cow I know!!
No peace here, even though 5 yr old is back at school - I have a Halloween party to organise for her tomorrow night and Thomas (18 months) wants to play trains and generally untidy the conservatory where I am trying to clear the decks ready for the spooky goings-on. Dunno why I volunteered to do this, I have pumpkins to carve and games to prepare - still at least it is a good week and I feel relatively normal.
Off to Tescos now to get yet more party stuff!!! Hope all of you ladies are OK today - it is lovely Autumn sunshine here, might even walk to the shops.
Ali - I really hope everything goes ok with your mum tomorrow…oh and good luck with the pumpkin carving! My OH wants to buy one and carve it out and put a candle in and then hang it on the tree outside…shes 28!!! I guess we have to make an effort though as my nephew and niece are coming round…only Owen(5) doesnt want to dress up spooky, he wants to come as a Power Ranger!LOL and Katie(7) well, she is just 7 going on 27 and just wants to wear a bra and make up!!!LOL Oh how I dont envy my sister!
Lynne - so sorry about your boss. At least you know officially now and as you say can have a good chat about it all. And Ali - fingers crossed for your mum as well tomorrow. I don’t think you are selfish at all!
Sun shining again today which is lovely. I am so glad I don’t have to worry about Halloween - now that IS selfish of me I know. We tend to batten down the hatches on the night as we get so many knocks on the door it gets really irritating after a while. Miserable cow that I am sometimes!
How is everyone else? Dawn - you ok? And any news on the house Kelly?
Hope you’re all ok on this gorgeous day ! I didn’t get chance to log on yesterday, and did I get withdrawal symptoms or what ?? I count you all as my friends now and not to speak to any of you on a daily basis seems so wrong (please don’t think I’m a saddo with no friends - I do have real ones honestly !)
Anyway, firstly, Lynne I’m so sorry to hear about your boss - haven’t read her thread yet, but will respond to her when I do. Thank goodness she’s got you to talk to - when I was first diagnosed, I was desperate to talk to someone else who knew what I was going through.
Ali - hope your Mum gets on ok tomorrow - you’re not selfish at all, I’m sure we’d all feel the same. x
Dilys - So you don’t yet have an inflated boob then? That’s not fair ! I’m currently looking like I’ve got Quasimodo’s back on my front - and I’ve got another inflation to go tonight !!! Jesus, I swear I will definitely fall over once he’s done it. Thank god it’s (hopefully) the last one - which will make a total of 700 mls !!
Kelly - Thought of you yesterday ! We had a bed and kids wardrobe for sale, and the couple who came round and bought them were from your neck of the woods - he has just come out the RAF and got a civvy job, hence their move from gorgeous rolling countryside to the flatness of the fens !! Talking of moving, any luck with the house yet ?
Lynne, sounds like you’re in for a fun halloween - you do realise that having a pumpkin outside attracts ALL the trick or treaters, don’t you ? LOL !! I should know, we have to have a bl**dy pumpkin every year on the insistance of my OH and the kids - but who has to open the door every time it goes ? Yep, me. My lot just scarper and find it hilarious !
Anyway girls, Im so sorry to those I’ve missed out this time round, but sending big hugs and lots of love to you all.
Dont let on I know shes posting if thats ok, I dont want her to think she cant post certain things because Im on here.
I know you wouldnt, so dont know why im bothering writing this.LOL
Im tempted to answer the door without my bandana this year - bet they dont come back next year!LOL
Well, the sun is shining once again in Shropshire but I’m having a day in today, in anticipation of a busy day flitting about tomorrow!!
Dilys - Sorry to hear you didn’t get your inflation, here’s hoping all goes smoothly next week. We will also be battening down the hatches tomorrow night, party poopers that we are!!
Lynne - I’m so sorry to hear that your boss has had to join our elusive little club. I’ve no doubt you’ll be able to support each other loads over the coming months.
Ali - I really hope your mum gets on ok tomorrow, we don’t need any more members of our ‘club’!! No offence by the way! I hope your halloween party prep goes well, rather you than me! LOL!!! We will be sat in silence and in the dark tomorrow night I reckon, avoiding trick or treaters at all costs!
Mel - I am ringing about the younger woman’s forum soon as I’ve finished on here. Please remind us on thurs that its your b’day as I have a terrible memory these days!!! It was my 35th in May, we went to a local hotel for the night, but I had my 1st chemo that week and a bone scan on my b’day so it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had!! Hoping yours will be awesome! I’m off to Argos on thurs to get my band thingy’s.
Julie - Fancy the fella buying your stuff being in the RAF, I may well of known him, especially as he comes from round here. No news on house front sadly, I’ll update at the end.
Dawn and the 3 L’s - I hope you are all ok!
Well, no real news on the house front yet. Rang the est agent earlier to pester him!! He is defo hoping to speak to the investor this afternoon and is really hoping he puts in an offer, aren’t we all!!! He said he’s had loads of other interest too and is confident we’ll get loads more viewings asap. I certainly hope so!! Our mortgage has already been all confirmed and everything and we are giving the relevant signed paperwork to our solicitor tomorrow. Its no good without an offer on our house though!!!
If you’re not all getting v.bored with my house tales I will update you soon as I have some news.
Lynne sorry to hear your news; hope your boss is bearing up ok.
Ali hope your mum is ok.
Dilys you have my sympathies just back from seeing onc and neutrophils are 0.8 so chemo tomorrow unlikely, although they will do bloods again tomorrow morning. I am so tired.
Everyone else sorry for not addressing you all individually but I need to go and get the kids from afterschool while I still have some energy. Really feeling tired, think it is my low bloods, hope I perk up as I have the younger women’s forum Friday Saturday and I want my chemo tomorrow.
Lesley I am so sorry. Missing a chemo is worse than missing an inflation. Hope you manage it in the end. Big hugs coming your way from me.
And Julie - 700! Help! Can I be rude and ask what bra size you are? I had 350 stuck in my mind from something the surgeon said in passing ages ago. I am 36 C . And DO answer the door bald! What a great idea. Might try it myself! Good luck with the last one tonight my love.
Kelly we are not bored with your house tales! Just have everything crossed for you! My daughter in law is trying to move at the moment too so we are following with bated breath.
Love to everyone else and thanks to whoever for this lovely sunshiny day. Off tomorrow to try to get my husband to buy a new winter jacket! Have to tempt him with the idea of lunch out as well as the dreaded shops! Might look for myself as well!
Im so sorry you feel so tired, and I really really hope you get your chemo tomorrow.
Dilys - Good luck with the shopping for jackets, spend his money!LOL Forgot to say didnt get round to going to Durham the other day, but I agree it is lovely. What did you study there?
Kelly - I love hearing about your house etc.
Its a shame we didnt all live close to each other we could have these conversations over coffee it certainly wouldnt take as long to say it as it does write it.!LOL
Hope everyone else is ok today. Im off to my bosses tonight for a…yes you guessed it - a curry and…a margarihta(sp?)
Hope everyone is well, in my second week - weak week!!! lol got me jelly legs back, went flying in town today banged up my knee and arm! Legs just buckled - felt a right wally one minute talking with amte next on the floor… x
Went to doctors for a check up - blood pressure a little low so guess what yep they took more blood from me and they want to know why my body is so slow! I reckon I could open my own blood bank with the amount they have had so far!!!
Dilys - jacket shopping - brrrrrrrrr more like eskimo coats I am freezing! hope you are well my dear x
Kelly - dont you dare stop talking about your house! Its great to talk about normal things! I am a naturally curious person! keep us updated PLEASE XX
LesleyHe - PANTS! so sorry your chemo has been delayed sending you a cyber hug xx
Lynne - I hope you enjoy your currymmmmmmmmmmm but I am sorry to hear about mum2/boss, have a margarihta for me please x
Ali - fingers x for your mum tomorrow xxx and no I dont think you are being selfish I dont how I would cope!
Dawn - how you doing on the tax, is it this week? fingers x it all goes ok xx
To anyone that I have missed - sorry but I hope that you are dong well.
Well I am going to put my feet up with a cuppa and chill before I sort the kids baths and beds out!!!
Just come back from the hospital after my last inflation - yippee !!! I now have a “breast” the size of a house, which seems to enter a room 5 minutes before the rest of my body follows. Oh alright, its not that big, but he did say tonight this was the largest tissue expander he’d used and the most amount of saline he’s ever injected (700mls - that’s more than my Pyrex jug can hold !!!) and the reason he’s put so much in is to allow for any shrinkage that the radiotherapy may cause, and also to allow for a “natural drop”! Dilys, in answer to your question, I was originally a 36B (and a bit saggy after 2 kids - lol !). Boy am I looking forward to my nice new pert 36C’s next year !!
Lynne - you’re always on the curry girl !!
Kelly - keep us up to date on your house as like Mel said, its nice to talk about normal things !!
Everyone else (too numerous to remember) - love to you all, especially you girls still on chemo !!
It’s taken me a while to catch up with all the chat. It’s amazing what happens in a short time.
Julie - I’m jealous of your boobs, i’ve got one two inches higher than the other, which if it wasn’t for the 7 inch scar across the top I would be quite proud of. It’s odd being able to see the whole of one nipple and not the other {being 50 andhad 2 childs boobs were rapidly going south}.lol
Just had my 3rd lot of chemo yesterday afternoon and i’m sure they’ve upped my dose as there were extra horse syringes in my box this time. So feeling pretty lousy today.
Don’t stop the chat…it’s good to hear about house moves, shopping and all the other gossip - good and bad.
Another gorgeous day ! Thank god as well, as I’m not allowed to drive for another fortnight, which means walking my daughter to school and back every day - I don’t do walking. But yes, I suppose its better for the environment (and my hips) …
Lesley - good luck for today - got everything crossed for you x
Lyndsey - sorry to hear you’re feeling rough honey - you stay in bed today x
Mel - you take it easy too - put your feet up and watch Jeremy Kyle (or maybe not) x
Ali - got everything crossed for your Mum - please let us know how she gets on x
Dilys - where are you - you’re usually up and about by now ?? x
Everyone else I’ve missed - sorry, love to you all, and have a happy Halloween !
I agree with Lynne, wouldnt it be great if we all lived nearer and could all get together for coffee and cake/chocolate, or in Lynne’s case, curry - LOL !!
Firstly I just wanna say I’ve got everything crossed for you LesleyHe, I really hope your bloods are good and you get your chemo today. Have a great time at the younger womans forum at the weekend, me and Mel are off to the one in B’ham in feb, fingers crossed!
I HAVE HOUSE NEWS LADIES, WOOHOO!!! Had another investor come to view at 4pm yesterday, loved the house and said he would ring the est agent immediately to put in an offer!! Well, only 20 mins later I got a phone call from est agent saying that he had indeed put in a offer! It was a slightly cheeky one mind you, as tends to happen when offers first go in I guess. Est agent then contacted the other investor who came on sat to make him aware that an offer has been made and to see if he also wanted to make an offer!! He is prob speaking to the est as I type this, now awaiting a call to find out whats what. So, fingers crossed our ‘For Sale’ sign may well be changed for a ‘Sold STC’ sign this very afternoon!!! Woohoo!!!
Off to the hosp at 11 for my Reiki session, lovely jubbly!! It would be chemo for me today so its a bit weird, no doubt they’re all missing us!!! LOL!!! Then I’m off to see the lovely ladies at Wimpey, and maybe have another cheeky look at our house!
I hope you are all well, apologies for not addressing you all individually, I’m a bit pushed for time at the mo. Hopefully ‘speak’ later,
