I am in a really surreal place.........

Hiya all,

Had a lovely day with choccimuffin and Twinky, we gorged ourselves on ‘healthy’ pancakes Lots of chocci sauce with raspberries and cream…well we did have our 5 a day so one bit was ok…we did have soup to start with, so we got a little nourishment before the main course :o)

Nice to put names to faces and talk properly and not find that its just cancer you have in common. Chocci has the photo evidence, so look out for them. I look like a rather fatter version of my pic on here, due to steroids, not overeating HURRRUMPH…really :o)

Thank you so much for coming over, made a lovely day for me to sit and do nothing and feeding my 2 children with unforgetable chocci pancakes too, well above the call of duty…Jamie tried to finish the choci sauce and even he was beaten LOL (makes a change)

Going to rest now, as I feel a little weary but in a nice way, as though I have accomplished something, not that I did anything at all :o)

Catch you later

Alto, clare, RevCat et al. I don’t believe all these coincidences. My husband’s two cousins lived in Ravenstone (, bless them they both RIP at a young age a couple of years ago.) and I regularly go to Olney. It has good antique shops and of course Willen Hospice Shop for bargains. I worked at Milton Keynes Hospital for twenty years.
How were the pancakes? They gave us one at the photo shoot, but they were more like Scotch pancakes than the Olney flipping type.
I saw no snowdrops in London just busy Tubes and traffic. The photo shoot was good fun. Lovely ladies who luckily wre photogenic which was more than could be said of me. I am now shattered but back in my Bucks comfort zone.
Sleep well all

So glad you all had a lovely day sharing pancakes and good chat too.

Cackles stop putting yourself down, I’m sure you look great in the pics. Fancy the Ravenstone connection! Wow! Such a teeny place too. We lived in what was then a semi-detached tied farm cottage on Common Street… now part of a conversion that looks amazing and no doubt worth a pretty penny! Moved to Northampton when it was sold over our heads… hey ho, times change.

Twinky and CM you are amazing, so glad you had fun together and spent time with Clare.

FINALLY saw some Clare-drops today in the tennement garden next to church… lovely.

Hello

Phew…flopped on the sofa now. Was a lovely afternoon with two nutters…ChocciMuffin & Clare! I can confirm that Clare’s site name has nothing to do with drugs & is a reference to her collection of pots! Was lovely to meet them & well done to Chocci who not only came laden with the ingredients for the pancakes but was also thoughtful enough to bring homemade chicken & veg soup plus a fresh crusty loaf for us to eat. Delicious! I disgraced myself by not only being late ( bunny issues at home this morning…there will be a visit to the vet first thing tomorrow) but I also forgot the lemons! I was forgiven though after making a big bowl of chocolate sauce! We had the sauce, fresh raspberries & cream inside the pancakes…scummy! We also talked non-stop & I’m shattered now. Am hoping Clare will have a quiet couple of days to recharge.

Glad you enjoyed your day Cackles. Look forward to seeing the photos!

Hugs

What a lovely day, certainly worth the drive.

I turned up with all the makings of pancakes, Twinks brought the makings of chocolate sauce (which was completely, utterly delicious) but forgot the lemons, and Clare provided the raspberries and cream, so it was very much a joint effort.

I’d made and frozen some chicken and veg soup following last Sunday’s roast dinner, so before we got stuck into the pancakes, we had all five of our five a day in a bowl with fresh bread and butter. Also managed to pick up some rather lush cakes but after we’d stuffed our faces with soup, bread, pancakes and chocolate sauce, none of us had any room at all.

Clare, I love your favourite sitting place, you get such a good view of your bird feeder. Great also to meet your wee ones and the doggie in the cupboard.

If I can find the wire to connect my phone to my computer I’ll add the pancake picture as my avatar, but no promises for this evening.

As suggested, if your wee boy wants to go to the model village, let us know and I’m sure you’ll have company. I had suggested that someone could be chauffeur but Clare pointed out that she can’t get up out of a regular car. I don’t think she was too impressed with my suggestion to use her tall loo-seat in a regular car to give her the height she needs…

Lots of giggles, far too many calories, and a lovely afternoon.

Twinks, didn’t get the chance to listen to the cds because the player in my car doesn’t work properly (I’ve spilt coffee in it - oops!) so I’ll have a proper listen tomorrow.

Sweet dreams tonight, Clare, I hope we didn’t exhaust you too much today and that you can enjoy a sofa day tomorrow, in readiness for the lovely weather we’re expecting later in the week.

Love and hugs,

CM

Not been on for a couple of days so missed the pancake fest! So glad some of you did manage to get togrther, it sounds great!Probably wouldn’t have got there even if I’d known as don’t drive, but have enjoyed hearing about it and feel happy that you’ve had a good day.

Had my Port put in yesterday, couldn’t get a vein so was done without sedation! Not the nicest of experiences but not too bad, just sore today. My partner has been brilliant and I have been looked after so well and had lots of treats, including a big plate of pancakes.

Hope you all have a good nights sleep. Look forward to photographic pancake display. xxxx

So glad you had a good day, have a peaceful night, love Mo xx

Sounds like a wonderful day, very yummy pancakes and lots of laughs, great fun xx

Hiya,

Well yesterday certainly did me a power of good, I have woken up this morning full of the joys of spring, I was knackered last night lol but its worth it as such a nice day was had. I slept well…which always helps and Chocci mentioned about a drug I was taking was giving me a hangover, mayb and she was right as I didn’t take them last night, got to sleep ok and no muzzy head in the morning.

My sister Jane is coming today, so should be a nice and relaxed day…yeah right :o) hopefully we will go out and have a laugh somewhere.

Hope you all have a good one too,

Clare xxx

Hi Clare, so glad you had a lovely day with our friends, and what friends they are! Sounds like you all had fun. Have a good day today with your sister, and take care if you go out. Thinking about you love junieliz x

So pleased you had a good afternoon! Sounds like good fun.
Take care.

Good morning

Glad you slept well Clare & that the fuzzy head had gone this morning! Secret powers in pancakes…lol! I had a rather disturbed night as bunnies 2&3 weren’t allowed into their usual place of the kitchen/diner as bunny no.1 was poorly & needed to be kept warm & quiet. The other two stayed under my bed. No.3 decided to get up on the bed & bounce on me during the night in between trying to dig under the closed dining room door! No peace for me at all.

Took Snowy to the vet first thing & she’s now on antibiotics. Left the doors open in the hope the other two would vacate the house & go into the garden…and they have! So it’s just a quiet day in the house for me & Snowy.

I’m hoping ChocciMuffin is ok. Not seen any postings from her today.

I’m so glad you all had such a good time yesterday, maybe Choccie is worn out LOL
Glad that you had a good nights sleep as well Clare, possibly the prescription pancakes helped  Enjoy the day with your sister, what a hectic social life you have! Full of laughter I hope.

I’m around, Twinks, just chillin…

Clare,

Have read the thread from start to finish and haven’t posted before cos it felt as if I was intruding on an already established group of friends but just wanted to say that this thread is inspirational. It is an honour,a privilegeand actually very spiritual to be sharing this time with you and considering where you are in your life and treatment, the fact that you keep on sharing with us is incredible and awe inspiring. From ‘Claredrops’, to poetry to ‘girly’ nights with a dvd and your daughter, you will obviously realise that you have a huge group of people who are ‘holding your hand’, virtually and in reality, (CM and Twinky)!

What an amazing woman you are.

With lots of love, hugs and everlasting thoughts.

Wandyxx

Everything Wandy said, i love “Claredrops”

Much love

Hi Clare.
Really glad you had such a nice time with the crew. I envy you guys the pancakes lol.
Haven’t seen any snowdrops yet, must make sure I locate some soon

Xxxx Sarah

Well pancakes are obviously the order of the day, good nights sleep and no fuzzy head, brilliant! Probably the contentment of a lovely giggle day and the knowledge you are cared about by so many people had an effect too.

Hope you’ve had an equally nice day with your sis today. Weather was yucky here, wet and windy, so hope you got a bit of the sunshine.Your social diary tires me out,so I hope you’re getting plenty of snuggle time inbetween.

They say it wil be T-shirt weather tomorrow so if they are right I hope all you lovely ladies wil have a nice day.

God bless,lots of love xx

Is it Wet T Shirts? Julie? Windy damp and feeling cool here in Bucks. My washing line is held up by a plum tree that is surrounded by “Claredrops”. If you are correct with your forecast I will view them tomorrow when hanging up the laundry.
I note the three “Clareteers” as opposed to Muskateers are quiet today. No doubt still sleeping off those pancakes!!! Jealous me. Chocolate cream and raspberries…things dreams are made of.
Hugs all
Cackles xx
