Hi geordielolo
I am sure others will add, but I would advise you to get it checked but remember that most are benign.Your gp is first port of call.

Hello, ive had my lumps checked out,but this one has flared right up and its just above my nipple, my doctor insists its a cyst, but im expecting the worse x
you say that it flears up when you have a period …some times they go away but if you are still worried ask for a mamogram …
tell you doc that it is upsetting you and you wont rest till you have one …
ok hunny try not to worry yourself as you have been through so much
take care sal x
I also found a lump recently, so I’m pretty new at all this too. You need to make an appointment to see you GP, who will ask you a few questions and examin you. Often when you are young they will wait until you have had your next period but some will decide to refer you to the breast clinic straightaway. Don’t be alarmed, I just think they are being thorough. My hospital appointment came through within the week (is amazing how quick it can all be!). You go to the hospital see the consultant, they have a quick feel too! And will do a Fine Needle exploration (doesn’t hurt and just drains off some fluid for testing). I was then sent off for a mammogram & ultrasound, then back to the counsultant for the result of the FNE all on the same day. So you can get some answers quite quickly. My results were benign for the lump but unfortunately, they discovered a radial scar in my left breast. If they need to they will call you back for a core biopsy. Had mine a week today. Not painful just uncomfortable with your tit clamped to a mammogramme, while they make a small incision and vacum up some tissue samples. Just now waiting for the results. I’m hoping the above will help you by delaying your anxiety, just make the appointment. Its important you know and I have found this site excellent in telling me what to expect. That’s has been a comfort for me, You will be surprised how you just get on with it while you are getting it checked out. Do it! and all the best.
yeah been poking it abit to, so making it abit worse, just dont know whats wrong with me im sitting here crying, my family tell me to calm down that theres nothing wrong with me, Ive had two doctors looked at me, im just worried scared and confused its just like im constantly worrying, just came off a pill that wasnt good for me so that might have something to do with it to! x
you have had alot of emotion going on in your life and as you say you have come pf the pill so your body is going through change.
and you have seen 2 docs and they dont seem to concerned so if you are still worried pop back and say you wont rest till you get a mamo…

im fine thank you for asking
i will fight this and you get stronger as time gos on when you first find out you think its the end of the road but you think im not going to let this sh=t thing get to you…
sal x
how long have you been fighting it? im sorry to go on at you? x
I know you will be frightened but everyone is right you need to put your mind at rest by asking for a mammogram or an ultrasound. Everything I have read suggests that most lumps are benign. Family and friends will try to be positive but it doesn’t stop you being scared. I promise you that you will feel better once you start to get it checked out thoroughly otherwise your imagination runs riot and you think the worst. Its important that you do this and I have found all the doctors/ hospital staff kind and compassionate and I really believe that they will take care of you.
i found out on the 28th april iv had 2 opps and now im starting chemo in the 1 july
not looking forward to it but glad to start get it over with and get back to normal…
but i wont go on as i dont want your mind playing you …
but please pop on next week and let me know how you get on …just drop a line on the same post that you started
