Hi, just popping over from October group to wish you all well and ask if anyone in this group having Herceptin as part of their treatment? I’m trying to set up a group in the Targeted therapy section for help and support. It is called February Herceptin starters? I had my first injection on Friday and so far so good.

Well I’m feeling a bit deflated , just been for a line flush and bloods ready for number 2 on Thursday , bloods that were done last week came back , low white blood cells 1.6 , nurse said if they haven’t gone up today chemo may be delayed , I’m totally shocked as I feel fine and I thought I had done really well all through this first cycle , I’ve had all the SE but not to the extreme and raised temp once , but I had a really upset stomach and it had gone down to 37.1 after an hour xx so a bit fed up x
Oh Jamsey I feel your frustration. I’ve been really hung up about knocking off the chemos as quick as poss so I get where you are coming from.
Hoping that the bloods are better there’s nothing you can do but take care of yourself. We will all no doubt have set backs

Jamesy…Try not to worry, last wek was a long time ago in Chemo world. I really hope theyve gone up enough for you. Like the other ladies my biggest worry at the moment is any delay because like everyone else we just want this done.

Shocked , I still have all my hair ! It is losing a bit , and feels a bit funny but all body hair is still there too !
I don’t know why mine is tested on a Monday when chemo not till Thursday , daft ain’t it ?

I went to the hospital today for picc line flush and had a funny turn so ended up having to stay in all day while they checked my bloods, etc. Not sure what caused it but I was feeling really rough yesterday, thankfully no temp so I’m back at home now. ?

Hi jamsey, yes for rads. Get support vests, ladybowler had M&S ones which are good, I’ve picked a couple up from H&M in the maternity nursing bit which are good, Mrs meow suggests a silk square over treatment area inside vest which is a tip I’m using ( currently 4 days into rads) so scarf draping useful while having to go braless. We are calling rads ??the Sunbed lounge, keep swimming and we’ll have your Sunbed’s ready for you ??and we will be on hand for tips if you need us ???shi xx
So we can wear vests whilst having the rads ? That’s not too bad then I was thinking having to be top less , gosh it’s all crap isn’t it x
