Hi shocked, I didn’t start using the new shampoo bar till after I’d finished chemo, please jump onto the Oct chemo thread to see if any of the ladies in their with me did, I would also get a list of the ingredients and check with your onc too, just to be sure you can use it. I always was over cautious about everything and checked with my onc on everything. Hope that helps ???

Aliand my eyebrows are tattoos in semi permanent I had them done ready for the chemo xxx I did t have the top up didn’t have time but will have that after this crap is over , I’ve just done my first injection ! Woo this is a weekend for first , now it’s anti sickness ibuprofen and off to bed night all xx I feel like I could swim a length todayvxxx ???

Hardly slept again with the first day of steroid kick yesterday…but feeling pretty calm about going in today. Not sure if I’m going to continue with cold cap today - will to speak with chemo nurses to see if it’s worth putting myself through it with all the hair I’ve lost anyway!!!

Have just done holiday insurance for cruise in October and Mexico at Xmas , what a mine field , went on the forum and managed to get excellent deals 17 quid for cruise and 36 for Mexico ! Wouldn’t do an annual one but were quite happy to do two singles , so sorted. XX ??
Aliand I had my surgery last year so all things going well ( keep positive ) I will defo be swimming with the fishes ???rads hopefully done June/July then herceptin but main treatment done x forward planning lol x
All went really well today x thanks for the well wishes peeps. Braved the cold cap of pain again and it DEFO hurt more now I have so little hair…but it seems over the last 3-4 days the hair loss has slowed a bit… just gonna wait and see what this cycle brings xx

Hi Starfire, I had one night when my anxiety went through the roof (I’m not normally a sufferer). I couldn’t sleep, heart palpitations and worrying about dying… not from the cancer but from the chemo bringing something on like a heart attack or stroke. I ended up going to work the next day and I actually spoke to a few people about how I’d been feeling, not sure if maybe that helped? Work ended up sending me home so I thought I’d use the time wisely and downloaded the Headspace app (doc recommended it when I was having trouble sleeping) and tried some meditation (again not something I’d normally give a chance). Also, if your having trouble sleeping ask your doc for something to help, they have absolutely been my saviour through this! Good luck with it and for 2moro xx
Yeah, we’re not bothering with holidays this year. Will defo need one next year! I’m originally from NZ and all my family are there so I’ll really be wanting to see them when I get through all my treatment. I had a PET scan recently to check my remaining lymph nodes and was originally told it was all clear but now they want to triple check (which is a good thing I guess) so another biopsy is to be arranged.
So all that time I’ve had off and just get back to work and my daughter’s school is closed coz of the snow, great ?
Hi I’m new to this site but started my fec-T January and cycle 3 this week. I’ve also lost lot of hair and couldn’t stand it falling out anymore so got it shaved which made me feel so much better as knew where I stood with it but can’t decide whether to continue on cold cap to keep what’s left or not. I’m interested in what advise you got yesterday . Hope it all went ok.x

I’m on TCH and had round 3 of 6 yesterday. My hair is about ear length bob and have lost a load on the top and underneath near the scalp. Haven’t shaved/graded mine yet although have considered it.
Advice I had yesterday was to stick with it as long as I feel I can, as It can also help quicken regrowth. It is more painful however for that first 10 mins of deep freeze when there is less 'insulation between the cap and your head.
Oh and fyi… our group moto as suggest by my 6 yr old: “just keep swimming” ???
Welcome moomoo, I’m not cold capping so can’t give advice there - I’m balder than my partner which he is finding quite amusing ?
Hey Starfire, Yeah, I’m on week 3 so I’m feeling good at the moment.
When I had my surgery (mx right breast) they removed 9 nodes and 8 of them had C so because of that is the reason I had the PET scan. So would clearance involve surgery? My onc said that if it showed that more nodes are affected then she’d be able to add another drug to my treatment. She’s not mentioned radiotherapy so I’m not sure if I’m having it although it seems to be the common progression after chemo, I think I’ll add that to my list of questions for her! xx
Hi starfire ??good to hear from you, mention to your onc all you’ve been through this cycle and about the headaches. The steroids can make us a bit ??? and chemo brain does make us forgetful, but please mention everything to your onc and team, they will be aware of these se’s and able to make professional assessment. You are all doing amazing and keep ??? try looking at remaining ones in 3 week blocks now, it helped them go quicker at this point in the journey, sounds nuts but it did. ??shi xx

Hi MooMoo, I have cold capped through 3 FEC and will hopefully continue during my 3 T sessions. I have also lost around 70% but can be covered with a hair band. It has also got more painful each time.
Hi Shocked. It may be completely unrelated but I have noticed certain parts of my body feeling numb over the last few days (including down below!) and as wondering whether to mention it to my team.
