Hi girls. So im still in hospital. n a private isolation room now. Got my own tv and loo!
Had lots of IV antibiotics and IV paracetamol overnight cos my temps is still up. Still waiting on test results had 6 different blood cultures done.
, but treating me for uti and neutropenic sepsis until they know any different.
I’m comfy though, and it’s quiet - I’m just boiling Hot!!!
Hey CT, hope you don’t have to be in too much longer, but at least you’re comfy and it’s quiet - which is a lot to be said about being in hospital!

Hi crazytimes, glad you are being looked after, what day in the cycle are you? They kept me in my own room too when I was in with uti and neutropenia sepsis, do you know what your neutraphils count is? They like that to be 1. ??shi xx

Aliannd I have some of the same concerns post surgery…I think Chemo is all consuming to start with and as it comes to a close your mind shifts to the next stage, for you and I that’s Surgery!! I’ve found already cancer has affected my sex life, I have literally had to spell it out for my husband…he says he thinks i have enough to worry about without having him pester me. I’m convinced it’s because he sees me as a patient!!!
Im still swimming this weekend though looking up Thor’s shorts…so lots of room on the raft for Aliand and CT to stretch out xxx
Day 4 first T
Well it’s not as bad as I was expecting so far. I think the lack of nausea makes a huge difference. Feel very tired, aching but not too bad - I have taken brufen. Managing tonpotter around a bit as long as I pace myself.
No taste or appetite sent hubby off for marshmallows.
CT hope you are home soon and able to rest up while your body recovers.
Starfire hope you can put it all to one side while you enjoy Easter fun with your little girl

Aliand - thank you. I am eating lots of chocolate and we are going out for lunch to a friends tomorrow. Big Eater egg/present hunt planned for in the morning.
Todays thoughts are that I should do a final 4th one as the numbness is just in my index and thumb on right hand at present although it does fluctuate. I don’t know if taking vitamin b6 is helping. I have until next Friday to decide. The onc definitely won’t give me anymore after that.
Ladies on T with hot fingertips beware that’s how Neuropathy started with me!
On a relationship level, my husbands 17 year old son has broken his leg due to riding a motorbike without brakes!!! He has spent yesterday and today at the hospital with his ex wife… great.

Starfire, sorry to hear about your stepson, hope he recovers quickly. It’s ??for you that your husbands spending time with the ex at the hospital, please try and ???even though you don’t feel like it, chemo does things to you and can make you read into situations that are nothing because of how vulnerable it makes you feel. Glad you have been doing some weighing up about your next t, you will make the right decision for you and that’s what matters ?? dealdoh ??old lady knickers ???you reminded me of me during chemo. Day 3 of my stay at ‘casa-treliske hospital’. Feeling a bit more human today though. Had a really good sleep and temp has been down below the magic 38 for last 6 hours (well 2 really cos first 4 were cos of IV paracetamol) Really hoping I can get home this afternoon. Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Easter… enjoy whatever you can taste my lovely ladies!

Shocked and Dealdoh, thanks for the reassurance!! Shocked where you pleased with your recon? Or is it still settling. Luckily I really like me breast surgeon…the amount of time he has sat pondering my breasts he should be able to do the surgery with his eyes closed!!!

Hi shocked some other ladies have got swimwear from Nicola Jane and M&S do a range too I believe, your trust should give you a chicken fillet to level you up, mine did, it’s brilliant, ask your breast unit if you’ve not been offered the service ??shi xx
