I’ve got another rash so not sure what is happening with my treatment tomorrow, waiting to hear from the hospital. I’m really hoping for a bit of a break if I’m honest ?

SE this time have been not too bad. Much tiredness and aches but fingers ha e been fine. Mouth just starting to break down a bit so I’ll up the mouth care and hope I can cheat my way around it.
Eyebrow hair could be counted now ! A few lashes hanging in, looks like I’ve just got v thin lashes

Shocked please tell me it ain’t true about colouring hair ??? Mine is coming through salt and pepper and I want the salt gone ASAP ! I should be grateful for hair but I defo will not rock the grey look x
How much hair have you guys got now? I just have some very fine, very light soft stuff coming through but it still looks like I’m bold unless you look closely?
Yes I’m the same Paloma, I can’t yet tell what colour it is. I’m not bothered if it’s grey, I just can’t wait to have enough to not have to worry about hats and wigs - especially after the weather we’ve been having #sweatyhead ?

I thought hair colouring could happen onc it’s about an inch long. Mines sort of mostly colourless. But it’s growing. I’ll post a pic tomorrow. I’ve been using the red dot despite chemo. I asked and my onc said there couldn’t be anything in it to worry her.
If you lot finish before me I’m going to get a lot of attention on the life raft from all these men

Still here cheering the rest of you ladies over the line…and decided last night when I do the Race for Life at the end of June im going to have everyone of your names on my back (oh jsut writing that makes me emotional) because Im not sure Id have made it through this without you all…xx
On a much lighter note my hair is growing like weeds now have a full Salt & Pepper cover although trying to straighten my 1 inch locks did not work out well yesterday!!!
By BC nurse said if you Cold Cap so didnt go entirely bald like me then you can colour any time but you must have a skin test…she said if not and you loose all your hair they recomend around six months and thats more to do with having a full covering first…

Aww that’s lovely Rosie! My friend is doing one in June so I’m hoping to go along and cheer her on. I’ll hope to do it myself next year, I’ve always been a keen runner but I’ve done no exercise since the beginning of the year, which is probably adding to my sense of helplessness.
And I’m back in for treatment tomorrow, apparently my doctor isn’t worried about the rash I’ve developed and wants me to carry on. I’m so upset as I thought I was going to get a much needed break. Oh well I’m going to have to draw on every ounce of strength I’ve got left. I guess this is the ‘fighting’ that you hear about “ding ding ding get back in the ring!”
District nurses came for the last time to take blood and flush line today as they are taking Picc out after treatment tomorrow. Just hope I don’t need it afterwards! Will be nice but strange not to have it.

Ladies, hope you are still hanging in there!! Today would have been the date of my final chemo if it had gone to plan. Instead I had my planning radiotherapy meeting and the Tatoos did lots of bleeding. I did however manage to hold my breath for the 20 seconds without problems.
i thought I would touch base to see if we managed to organise a meet up? (I’ve missed the conversation sometimes due to chemo brain) …
i also just listened through closed doors to my little girl saying a prayer…I’ve never heard her pray before.
DEAR GOD,
PLEASE MAKE SURE MUMMY DOSE’NT HAVE TO HAVE ANY MORE MEDICINE THAT MAKES HER FEEL POORLY. ALSO MAKE SURE HER HAIR GROWS BACK BEFORE 12 O’clock.

Ladies its good to hear that the lush New bar is helping you all on the way to get your barnets back thick and fast so i finished chemo end Nov had a good skinhead by xmas now it is really thick curly and a proper outgrown pixie style now the fringe and top seems to have been the slower to grow in length so i reckon another 4 weeks it will be a perfect length for a really trendy edgy style i find a hairband band make it look mire feminine have bought some nice hair knot band things which look good too i have tried to upload a picture but haven’t been able to i still use the lush stuff and will continue to as it has definitely worked for me the staff in my local lush shop were thrilled with my results gave me somr free samples for styling wax which is also really good for taming the chemo curls!!!
Aww Starfire, your daughter’s prayer! Part of me can’t wait for this to be over for my daughter’s sake, I get so grumpy and short with her sometimes but she still tells me she loves me so much and is always making me cards ?
Wow Aliand, that’s really good growth! I’m still very bald. My friend who suffers from alopecia recommended bergamot hair tonic to me but I haven’t used it yet, worrying I might have had more hair loss, but I will start soon. I really don’t want to go through summer wearing hats!
Shocked, I’ve just done that myself! My treatment didn’t go ahead today, turns out my rash is a reaction to the chemo, so I’m being changed to Abraxane. So what’s the 1st thing I do? Yip: “ooh what forums are there on it…eek”
So that means I might be crossing the finish line on Monday, although that hasn’t actually been confirmed but I was due to have 3 weekly Pacitaxel and the Abraxane is a 3 week dose so that make sense - fingers crossed ?
