Hair I have some fluff which I gave had a while on top some hair in places and a ruff stubbly feeling on head in places where it used to be smooth I’m 4 weeks since last infusion, eyes still really dry I’ve stopped rubbing which helps Kimi glad you have hair even if not long enough yet! I got a really lovely wig really modern looks real but I don’t feel comfortable in it it’s like an alien on my head so still using the scarfs ?

Tatanya I really feel for your situation it’s such a worrying time for you especially when you have your parents in this situation, I hope you can find some emergency respite quickly for all of you to have a break, my nana was brought to a families in Sunday and I broke my heart when I saw her she has deteriorated so much since I last saw her, she just not with us anymore it’s heartbreaking to watch so I feel for you all atm x
Hi everyone,
Saw the nurse today for a dressing change, the high-tech dressing only lasts a week and then they review it. Nurse was amazed, couldn’t believe how well I looked one week after Mx, she removed the dressing and said it all looks perfect, only a tiny bit of fluid, everything healing nicely, so no need for a new dressing. Result! So no more Buzzy Charlie. There’s just some steri-strips on the wound now, which she says will come off by themselves when they’re ready. Meanwhile I can shower normally. She officially gave me 10 out of 10!!
Now I have to psych myself up for results day on Tuesday. But at least I can relax for the next few days! Have just been for a 20-min walk around the duck pond. Cold but lovely.

Hi Shi, I’ve had a pretty good day today, mom is a bit calmer, still trying to sort her care and meds, but if we can have a day or two without mega stress, I’ll take that! Had a lovely morning having coffee with two of our oldest and best friends, one of whom, as it happens, makes the world’s best scones – what’s not to like?!

Been busy wrapping presents, making gift tags and putting up the tree today. Definitely feeling a bit festive ?
It’s good to start getting into the Christmas spirit, isn’t it! I managed a bit of Christmas shopping today, not in town but at a mega garden centre. Busy but not too crowded so I wasn’t worried about people accidentally elbowing me where it’s still sore!
Missaconitum, surgery on Wednesday? Trust me, the worst part is the waiting! Take a good book or headphones in case there’s a long wait before you go down, but once they’ve given you the pre-meds you won’t even feel worried anymore!

Missa, the surgery is a walk in the park compared to chemo and you’ve done the chemo bit, you will be fine, don’t forget the senokot for after surgery as you don’t want backwards pine cone experience. Are you having radioactive dye in boob? If so your peecwill be a blue green and stool will be too. Mishy has your blue titty gone yet? My blue titty went within 6-8 weeks I was lucky. Don’t push yourself too much with exercises after, little by little each day and movement will return, main thing is to take it steady after, no lifting, no hoovering, if you let body heal slowly it’s better in the long run rather than over doing it in the early weeks because you feel ok. Just been for a one hour walk, longest since surgery. Admittedly that particular walk would normally only take 50 mins or so! Feeling better for it, but tired.
Post-surgery results day tomorrow. Can’t get it out of my head. Feels like I’ll be learning my fate. Well in a way that is true. Don’t want to be optimistic and then get a nasty shock!
Tatyana, you are strong and have done this before amazing lady, don’t forget how far things have come treatment wise since last time. I’ll hold your hand if you hold mine, i get my gene results tomorrow
