Shi I hope you are doing ok so far on doxy toxy hell! :sparkle::sparkle::sparkle:

Mishy how did your first rads go? I assume you get the weekend off, so have a good one!

Missa pleased to hear you are home and well after op and I hope you are being looked after and resting up x
Kimi and Carole well done ladies ??? so pleased for you finishing your treatment ?

Carole and Kimi, congrats on reaching the finishing line! Take it easy for a while, the rads can go on making you tired for a couple of weeks after they stop, but hey, who cares - you made it!! :sparkle::sparkle::sparkle:

It went really well got a little bit of tingling in my breast but ok yes weekend off but xnss week is going to shirt as unit id closed xmas and boxing day so only wed to Friday that week thrn a shkrt week because of new year tues to Friday ? im not sure i like the idea of such a big gap between treatment as i was originally told i would have a Saturday catch up on xmas and new year week instead they have just put them at the end so it gies into 5 weeks ?

That’s a pain, Michelle. Understandably you just want to get on with it, not have it dragging on. Bad luck! But at least you have finally started on the next stage.

Yeah i know i get very anal about these things i was panicking thinking it was too big of a break between sessions as i was told for Breast treatment you ciuld have 3 day break between treatment but with xmas its 4!!! Knowing me i will say something on Monday i think i hate not being in control of things ?? that’s my trouble im like a dog with a bone but last session is in January so not too long ?

Hi tatyana, ok so far but only day 3, good job got the senokot down as botty back up because of steroids and antisickness meds but that will soon change on the won’t it, it’ll be ?arse won’t it soon, still anusol and sudocream at the ready. Ali’s wound up casa nhs on day 9 of her first t, so think us on Oct thread who have switched to t need to keep eye on everything. Still 2 more to go then we will be ???Dancing to rads, blue dot tattoos and all. Are they small dots or size of a 5p? Just wondered. ???shi xx

Tiny tiny dots, almost invisible! Yes, on T you have to be vigilant for everything, keep an eye on your temperature and be kind to yourself. But you might be lucky, a friend of mine had almost no se’s from T except funny taste. We all react differently!

Thank you for your good wishes & bells, it does feel like a milestone finally reached. Well done Missa, glad you’re home, look after yourself & get well soon, gently with the exercises. Glad your on the RT Road now Michelle, pain it’s over Christmas, but like you I’d rather get going, I too am a bit of a dog with a bone, you need to be re-assured about “days off” ask away Lovely. My boob is a bit achey today after 5 x boosts, but nothing too bad, it’s the other aches, I’m walking like a little old lady, are any if you taking Letrazole? I can’t do this for the next 5 years, only done a month, it’s my bum, knees & ankles! Any tips? Well done on an hourswalk Tatyana, I wouldn’t be able to move if I did that, have done Xmas tree & cards today, on sofa this afternoon. Glad everyone is doing well. Love Kim xx

Kimi what is tge difference between the rads and the boosters im having them too and when i have them i go to a different machine has anyone else had that happen i will be asking lots of questions on Monday haha xx

Hi ladies,
Just received two Knitted Knockers through the post, one regular and one for swimming. They are amazing. In case you don’t know, they are soft falsies made by volunteer knitters. I’m chuffed to bits with mine, I’ve been wearing it all day, it’s comfortable and to be honest it looks much better under my clothes than the softie that the breast nurses supplied. If anyone has had a mastectomy and no immediate reconstruction, I highly recommend them.

The knockers are supplied free of charge to anyone who asks, but obviously it’s nice if you make a donation. Such a brilliant idea!

Good morning. Michelle, as far as I know, the 15 zaps are to get any stray aliens, so it’s to lymph nodes, I had 3 areas zapped, collarbone, boob & armpit. On the final 5, “boosts”, they put an additional piece of kit on the RT machine that looked like a big spot light & it was positioned about an inch from the site they removed lump & you get a concentrated zap (about 30 seconds or so), so I guess that’s again to make doubly sure the aliens are all treated. You don’t really know anything is happening, except laying in a very exposed position with your boobs on show for all to see, but I’d show anyone now, feel like there’s not many people who haven’t seen them anyway!?. The worse bit now, which really isn’t a lot, is the area around my collarbone is a bit dry & rashy & itches, so go heavy on the moisturiser!! Glad your knitted boobs are a success Tatyana, before she died early this year my Mum & her WI group were knitting those, it’s nice to think they are useful. Have had two evenings of Champagne to celebrate end of treatments & out for lunch today, better start slowing it down or I’ll be in AA!! The aches are still getting me down, but I’m hoping as time goes on your body gets used to Letrazole, I don’t see Consultant again for 6/8 weeks when I can talk to her about it. Hope your recovery is still going in right direction Missa & your feeling ok. Shi, the tattoos are so small they look like tiny little moles & as I have a few of those, I don’t know which is which, good luck with the marking up. Enjoy your Sundays Ladies, our tree is up, I’ve got to do some decorations this morning & hubby is putting up lights outside, he doesn’t enjoy that!! Onwards & upwards. Xxxx

Kimi, I’m thrilled to hear that your mum and her friends were knitting knockers for people like me. What a great lady!

Morning everyone hope you are all wekl freezing cold out got a pan of homemade soup on for lunch today nothing better than a big bowl of soup with crusty bread on a day like this!
Kimi im having breast and armpit done as my lump was in lower part of the boob!! So the boosters are just at site if cancer makes sense now thanks i got QV cream from hospital to use can’t use any other don’t know why aa other ladies get told different things must be my hospital policy
Great to hear about your knitted knockers Tatanya tgey sound great xx

Kimi, tatyana and mishy thanks for tips about creams etc for rads, still a few weeks away for me but getting there, but thanks to all the love and support from you all, We are all getting there, I can never say thank you enough for all the kindness and care. ???:sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:shi xx

Ordered some knitted knockers myself, thanks for the recommendation Tatyana.
Primark were selling non wired lightly padded t-shirt bras which I’ve found look better with the softie- although I had to take all the filling out of mine and it was a small to start with!
Dressing comes off tomorrow- I’m looking forward to not having it stuck to my armpit. Good job there’s no hair there at the moment or it’ll be getting a free wax!
Glad you’re celebrating Kimi! I’ve got some champagne ready for the end of treatment!
Mishy I think each hospital definitely has their own policy regarding what cream to use, reading through the threads various people have been told different things. Hope it went well today!
Shi, the constipation was awful on the EC for me, strong coffee and sennokot were my saviour. It’s the same reason I’m loathe to take the codine unless I’m desperate.

Missa good to hear your feeling welk and healing well too i got soft bras with no wires from Asda as i kniw with rads tio tiy need a soft bra looks like my whole mornings are giing to be used up getting to and from rads but never mind had to wait 45 mins for my session today have been told to go braless when I can to air boob

Mishy, airing your boob?? Not too literally, I hope.??? You seem to be coping well with rads, keep it up!
My Mx scar is more painful now than it was two weeks ago, not in a worrying way, but uncomfortable. The stretching exercises are quite tough. The whole area looks a bit black and blue. So I’m also going bra-less most of the time, because all my bras tend to chafe the skin below the scar area, which seems quite sensitive. Glad I’m mostly doing scarves rather than wig, because you can drape the long end of the scarf to disguise the lopsided chest!

Missa, I hope you are now dressingfree and more comfortable! I find things change from one day to the next, so I’m swapping around different clothing styles to find whatever is most comfortable each day. Baggy Xmas jumpers are good!
