Shi, how are you doing, I hope you are keeping on top of the se’s. Keep drinking fluids!
Hi tatyana, just taking it one day at a time that’s all you can do during chemo. With switching to t this round it’s another watch and see, thank you again for all the tips tatyana, it would be ???without having all the love and support and guidance. How are you getting on with exercises? ???love you shi xx
Dressing is off. Scar about what I expected, should heal fairly neatly I reckon. A bit bruised and swollen but overall not too bad.
I’m with you about the exercises Tatyana and I’m still doing the basic ones! Looking forward to getting full movement back in my arm though husband is doing all the dishes and vacuuming atm so maybe not too soon ?
How long after surgery did it take for the rest of you ladies to recover?
Hang in there Shi, it’s tough but you got this!
Thanks missa, glad dressing off for you. I just used basic Superdrug acqueous cream after surgery and 4 months on hardly any scar and I had therapeutic mammoplasty, so scare was full under boob and then round the areole with a line up the middle from the bottom and just using that within 4 months has left hardly any scar. So hope that helps you ???shi xx
Shi, that’s a great tip, thanks! When I saw the surgeon last week she said it was time to start using moisturizer, but she didn’t recommend any particular type and I was afraid the cow cream might be Overkill! ??
Hi tatyana, sorry darling, I thought I’d already passed you tip for post surgery cream. My cousin who is bc survivor told me about it. I think people use whatever they want but I didn’t want anything irritating anything. I also just washed in hibiscrub in the shower too till all healed up too. No baths, just wanted to help my body as much as I could. ???shi xx

Mishy, hope rads go well for you today lovely ???thanks for tips for us Oct ladies as always you are amazing ???shi xx
Looking into various options regarding scar creams etc and came across scar away silicone strips. Basically you stick them over your scar and they help flatten, smooth and fade your scars faster. They have rave reviews on amazon so bought a pack to give them a try. I’ll let you know how I get on!
Mishy, doing the rads dance for you ???you are fog on the Tyne is all mine all mine, fog on the tyne is all mine you way through them lovely ???shi xx

Lovely to meet you Angela!!!
Thanks for thst Shi!!
Just realised before there that mu eyelashes are returning yay very short but there im overjoyed ???
Wow Mishy, hair AND eyelashes? Cool! My hubby thought he spotted a couple of eyebrow hairs today, I peered at the magnifying mirror and I think he might be right, but I’m not sitting on the edge of my seat!
It’s great that you bumped into Angela and that you’re both doing well. Keep it up!?
Not sure if it’s the exercises or just healing but quite swollen around my mx incision atm. I know they can drain the fluid if it becomes painful but I’m hoping it won’t come to that.
My knitted knocker came today ? really chuffed with it! Bit more adaptable than the softie. I just have to stop myself whipping it out when I tell people about it ?
Speaking of hair… My leg hair has started to grow back which probably means it’s growing back elsewhere too. D’oh! Was enjoying not shaving.
There is a good natural lymphatic video on line that I did after op it’s 3 American doctors and they do a breathing one where you push belly out as you breath in and an exercise the call chicken wings and these shoulder blade ones, just thought I’d mention worth a try if you want a natural way. Sorry I can’t load it on the post for you as I don’t know how to ???shi xx
Morning ladies.
It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to logon so hope everyone is doing well. I’ve been decorating till silly o’clock every night. Nurse had to scrape paint off my non boob before radio the other day. ?
Miss a, go easy on the exercise until that fluid has drained. There’s evidence that lots of exercise can add to the build up. I had a seroma which drained away once I took it east for a week or so.
Tatyana, hope things are going well for you. I used bio oil on my scar with great results.
Shi, hope you got your coloured fairy lights and are doing good.
Kimi hope you enjoyed your end of treatment celebrations. I’ll be joining you soon. Was a brilliant feeling to finish today. ? I rang the bell with some vigour. ?
Carole, hope you’re doing great too.
Michelle, it was really lovely to see you at radio. I feel like I know you all. It’s strange. I hope these three weeks fly by for you. ???
And thank you for sneaking out for a wee and trying to clap me when I rang the bell. ?
Wishing you all a very merry Xmas. I’ll be offline for a while so we can pull off a mammoth make over and get our house ready for xmas. Can’t wait to be able to cook for my family. Xxx
Angela, congrats on ringing that bell!??? Now you can really get into the Christmas spirit. Have a good one, remember to take it easy if you can, even if it’s only for five minutes! And thanks for the bio oil tip.
Angela lovely to see you go off enjoy your makeover and house stuff and Normality its been a long journey for you and you did it ??? it was lovely to meet you its strange how you feel like you knoe people enjoy your treatment free Christmas with your family ?
How is everyone, hope you all enjoyed the amazing Strictly final!
The area where my boob used to be is still pretty tender, a bit bruised looking with some swelling, it’s over three weeks now and I wish it would settle down but I guess it’s normal.
It’s been a good news/bad news couple of days. Heard that a lady in the village ( not a close friend but a friendly acquaintance) has just had major surgery for pancreatic cancer. Had a Christmas card from my ex-husband (it’s a long time ago and we’ve stayed on good terms but only at the Christmas card level) and it turns out that the whole summer when I was going through chemo, he was also going through chemo for prostate cancer. These two pieces of news left me feeling pretty low. But then I got a Christmas card from an old friend who I haven’t seen for over a year, and it turns out that she’s got married, to the very nice man who she introduced as her new fella the last time we saw her. I’m so pleased for her, she’s been single a long time not from choice and is a lovely person who deserves to be happy.
Funny ol’ world, isn’t it. What a year we’ve all had!
Hi tatyana, wow you had a day, it has been quite the year for sure and I know this will sounds strange but I feel very blessed for each day that we have now, hope that doesn’t sound strange. Love you ???shi xx
Hi Shi, no it doesn’t sound strange at all, I know exactly what you mean. We should value every day we are given. Hold on to that positive feeling!
