@twinks77 @runningandgin @stafford22 @cheche wow this fatigue is wild!
Day 5 for me now and after an awful nights sleep (so hot and cold) I made it to the toaster then burst into tears.
I could have easily stayed in bed all day but decided to chance it. Glad I did as feed definitely helps pick me up. I’ve gone from 2/10 this morning to 5/10 by lunch and I think marginally better than yesterday.
I hope it doesn’t go back down and I get away with dodgy days 3/4/5.
I had 3 days of steroids and really day 3 wasn’t too bad. Still managed to potter a bit but a zombie days 4&5.
Got to start injections this evening. Not looking forward to that!
You guys have really helped me set expectations so the fatigue hasn’t panicked me at all. I know it’s temporary. So thank you v much for that xx
Hope you’re all doing well at the mo x

Good luck with your treatment! X
The fatigue is hard but hopefully you’ll now pick up. I’m on weekly chemo now and by day 6 I start to get more energy then boom the next chemo is here! Got 12 weekly ones, tomorrow is number 5! Hopefully to get thru as many of the 12 as I can! They’re not giving me steroids on the weekly so I do feel v tired. Roll on end of July when chemo is over! Take care, you’re doing well x

@stafford22 you’re doing amazingly well, fighting your battle and pulling us all up at the same time. It’s much appreciated.
I can’t imagine doing chemo weekly!
I’m going to try to shower and hope I’m not pushing myself but feeling clean after all this intense hot flush sweating would be nice.

Thank you. I would have a shower when someone else is with you in case you feel a bit wobbly x

Hi
First session done. I used the cold cap and like everybody says, after the first half hour it is much more tolerable.
I don’t really know how I feel at the moment. A bit wobbly I think. I’ve had my first orange wee.

Home now after EC#2. Was much quicker this time even with the cold cap. No adverse effects of Epirubicin this time either which sped things up too.
Going for a short walk then rest.

Im having the EC 1st lot of chemo tomorrow and cant remember how long they said i would be there, decided not having cold cap, im sure they said 2 1/2 hours extra if having cold cap. Feeli g extremely anxious and jittery.

I had the cold cap today and it really was ok. I sat with my iPad on my lap and streamed my favourite TV shows. That really made the time pass quickly. But my schedule was - 30 mins cap, 10 mins flushing the line, 20 mins for one syringe, 15 mins for the next syringe. Another flush. Then 15 mins for the second drug syringe, more flushing and finally 90 mins cold capping

Day 5 yesterday and felt more like myself, more energy. So decided that today I would work from home to see how I go on.
Had an awful nights sleep though, hot flushes and headachy. So gave up at lunchtime and just had to lie down. Exhausted!
New day tomorrow though!
Headache is definitely worst thing for me.
Feeling optimistic that things are going to start improving this week .

By the sound of it we will all be totally quanked before long!
. Well done to the toast makers, the orange pee-ing people, the cold capping iPad watchers and to those of us yet to start and quietly bricking it. One day at a time.
Ironically I got back from the dressings clinic to find a letter inviting me to my first routine mammogram screening, they have booked me in for next month. I’ll be calling them tomorrow to explain & cancel. (.)(.) Sleep well folks x

My teeth all felt very strange the first few days after my EC ,Almost numb if that makes sense. Back to normal now ready to start next dose next week.

Round 2 of EC yesterday.
Was much quicker. 4 hours instead of 6 (including cold capping)
Last night was predictable insomnia due to steroids and today vaguely hungry but nothing tastes any good
So looking like it will stick with the pattern of the last cycle and I know what’s coming

Another one done and dusted for you!
And you know what to expect now.
I’m aching today…everywhere. Mainly headache but also in my back. Probably the Pegfilgrastim injection. Headache has been the worst side effect for me.
Hoping to be well enough to travel to Denmark on Sunday for Step daughter’s graduation
