Just diagnosed and wanting to talk to people who understand

I can only take paracetemols as other half is at work and the strong ones zonk me out. Once the horror has fallen as sleep I may take one so I can try and get some sleep xxx

Two weeks after my mastectomy and reconstruction it is the SNB area that is still the most tender. Hope you are doing okay Ange.

And glad to hear you are feeling a bit more positive today Barry.

I’m sure we’ll be apprehensive to say the least on Wednesday morning x

Get him settled and take one if you are in pain.Does your other half work nights or will he be back later?

Yes Peggycat I am 7 weeks post mx and snb and 3 weeks post full ANC. So my body has been through 2 close ops, so in a way it’s no wonder I am hurting xxx

Hi Jill he works stupid strange shifts. He’s on a sleep over tonight so I won’t see him until about 3 tomorrow afternoon :frowning: it’s ok when you are well but he is really taking his toll on me today xxx

And having two anasthetics within such a short space of time must take it out of you as well Ange. I’m finding it tiring just looking after myself (and cats) let alone having children to care for too. x

Yes, I’m not surprised you find it difficult,I have struggled to keep on top of day to day things and I don’t have a toddler and only had one op ,really you need a chef, nanny ,cleaner and chauffeur prescribed when you are diagnosed!

I keep on saying we need to hire a dishwasher!

That sounds wonderful Jill  until then I will continue. Maybe little man will burn out soon  xx

Could you pay teenager to deal with him, they usually respond to bribes ,then go to bed with painkiller and large lump of chocolate !!

Evening Peggy by the way .

Evening Jill. Hope you are having a pleasant one. Low alcohol wine here and almost certain to be some chocolate consumed before the day is over.

Low alcohol wine??

Mmmm teenager… Think it may be best for me to continue if I want a house intact  xx

Oh and evening Peggy. Glad you’re a regular poster now. It really helps to talk x

I probably should say “lower” Barry. It’s 5.5 percent rather than the usual 12 percent or whatever I’m used to. Means I can have an extra glass without feeling too guilty.

And yes, it is good to join in with you all. I really apreciate the warm welcome.

That makes more sense

Gosh Ange, that is so tough for you, two operations, a two year old tornado and hubby on shift patterns…not a good combo! Don’t worry about anything but the basics around the house…have you any relatives or friends who can come and help or take your little fellow out for a while to give you a break?

I am so lucky, retired hubby, two youngest daughters (23 & 20) still at home and not gone back to Uni yet, and the Uni is local so they are living at home so I don’t have to do anything! Still had a bit of a meltdown tonight, all dressing under the extras that they put on after I bled a bit are soaked with blood so looking very messy. And now the surgery is done, thoughts have returned to my late Mum and negotiating a mutually convenient date for her funeral.

Still, getting lots of help and rest and did manage one round of exercises today, taken two lots of painkillers today and will have some at bedtime, they gave me the Co-codamol 30/500…they seem good enough.

What I can’t understand is non alcoholic wine, what’s the point. !!Ange ,can see your point,my teenager had no common sense and thinks the floor is a bin.Hope you mange to get some rest and a pain free nights sleep .
