Just diagnosed and wanting to talk to people who understand

Amanda ,very hard dealing with all this and losing your Mum,glad you have lots of support.

Just like non alcoholic lager makes no sense!

Great news Jill, the proms worked a quiet piece in the piano and the toddler has dropped  yes it’s hard but usually it doesn’t bother me. I may have a wine to help the co codamol  - it works for me Amanda. The doctor did say they have to make me feel rubbish before I feel better- he wasn’t wrong there. As I always say … One day at a time …, with added Twiglets, chocolate and Brussels :)lol xxxx

Yes Ange ,you need all those things to make you better as well as the surgery, chemo and tablets .They def do make you feel worse in order to get better that’s true, ironic as I didn’t feel ill in the first place.

For the coke/Pepsi drinkers out there. Sounds like a drug!

One 20-ounce bottle of cola contains the equivalent of about 16 teaspoons of sugar in the form of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), which will cause your insulin to spike within 20 minutes of drinking it.

Your liver responds to this insulin burst by turning massive amounts of sugar into fat, most of which is stored — hence the weight gain associated with a high-sugar diet.

Morning, just a query. We’re meeting with the surgeon on Wednesday, but when do you see the oncologist?

So is it odd we’re meeting the surgeon again after lumpectomy? As in shouldn’t we see the oncologist?

Ah thanks Jo x

Yes Barry, surgeon will fill you in on op and results. Oh and never touch cola or fizzy drinks. Hate them x

How’s everyone’s weekends been? x

I am a diet Pepsi lovet but have cut it down. Totally exhausted trying to keep up with my toddler. Looking forward to a nice long shower then bed  xx

Hopefully you will have a more relaxing night tonight Ange!!!

I don’t know how you manage it Ange, it must be difficult doing this after the op.

It is:( him indoors is not helping. Have been left holding baby again today. Wasn’t even asked if I needed help or offered that hex would be left with the child minder. Not good today really cheesed off. Think he thinks op is over so I am ok now!!! Aaarrggghhhhh!!! RANT OVER!!! Xxx

No I am afraid they all work. I just have to put up with it. Never mind x

You need to have a serious talk with him Ange before you start chemo as you really need to be able to rest and look after yourself as much as possible.I know he has to work but when he isn’t be needs to step up.The problem with this illness is the treatment goes on and on and fellas lose interest after the first few weeks ,op over that’s that then, actually no it blooming isn’t !!!

Hi Jill I think that is the problem. I am resting at mo as little man has exhausted himself  xx

You are not the only one with that problem Ange!!!Hope you manage to get some rest.

Ange is there anyone that can come in and help? Will your hubby be able to take a couple of days off work to help? Xxxxxx

Must be the weather…we all sound a bit low but so be it, it’s to be expected. Just seen bupa add for a cancer survival package…if they are doing it all our feelings after treatment are valid x
