Yep not liking the stress. It’s hard to get people to understand. I just take a day at a time have a few things arranged for the rest of the week xx
Oh Jill that sounds very painful, poor thing. I’m a bit concerned about my rads to come as my skin is quite sensitive. I still have a scaly rash from the dressing on my last op. Also still have quite a fluid build up behind the scar. Do they start rads if you still have this I wonder? My daughter took a cheesecake half way across London for a Macmillan Coffee Morning today and it survived the tube rush hour apparently! She’s raised lots of money for Macmillan recently and I’m very proud of her. Just to give you all a laugh, I managed to have a bath rather than a shower for the first time since February but forgot that I couldn’t use my still rather sore right arm to help me get out. Husband had to come and hike me out which was hysterical. The bath was bliss by the way. Barry, try one of those oat bags that you can heat in the microwave for Nikki. Don’t let it get too hot though! Put on her shoulder for a few minutes before she starts the exercises I find it very good.
Thanks PeggyCat. We can share experiences. Lime the wine idea xx
Spelling!!! Like not lime x
And indeed I am already “missplling”
Good luck with your Onc appt Peggy, hope you have a clearer idea of what happens next .Let us know how you get on.
Thanks Jill. Will do. x
Peggy, Nikki is a day behind you with an onc appointment on Wednesday. I’m not sure I could massage big hairy men as a masseuse.
But the massage seemed to help with her exercises this evening. Broccoli soup for dinner as we were a little naughty for lunch x
Francine, they won’t start rads til you are well healed and not too swollen, lady who was at hospital for planning appt at same time as me was told she was too swollen to start and had toeave it another couple of weeks.Rads can cause swelling so they won’t take any chances.Glad you enjoyed your bath!!!
I am sure broccoli soup with cancel out any lunch time naughtiness Barry.
Thanks Familytree - think you also have Onc later this week don’t you?
Hey Barry looks like Nikki and I have once appointment on the same day. I have a surgeon appointment first I suppose it’s to be signed off, then onc. Think I will get my tablets. Then d day xx good luck Peggy and FT let’s hope this week brings good news xxx
What’s the rainbow diet? x
Looks interesting x
Good luck with the oncologist appointments…scary but things are moving in the right direction and I expect once the various treatments starts, you’ll feel more settled.
Sorry to to hear about your infection Jill, you could sure do without that! In the spirit of ‘getting them out at the drop of a hat’…letting it air might help things along a bit.
We just all need wrapping in cotton wool a bit!
Amanda x
Me too Fiona…only been to them twice to have my babies so I guess we are fortunate?! Lol that’s PMA x
It’s the same with me ladies, had my 2 boys but for the start of this year I was taking my mum as she built up and had a hip replacement I was looking after her when I found the lump. Stupidly when her consultant signed her off I said “yippee no more hospital visits” I am now going every week and sometimes even twice!!! Xxx
When are you going back to work Sarah?
Morning Sarah (SB) hope you are ok. Yep really wet and miserable. I had a delivery from Anna bandanna today one of my friends got me an assortment of scarfs glad you enjoyed your swim. Jill how’s you? Are the antibiotics working xxxx
Morning all. Yes, miserable here in south London too. I’m another one who had barely set foot in a hospital, apart from visiting, until these last few months. My hubby has just had an appointment this morning so we are getting lots of value from our NHS just now.
Hope you have fun with your package Ange. I think I’ll be doing some shopping for headwear after my onc appointment later today. There are some lovely items out there. If we weren’t in the position of having to consider buying such things then I might quite enjoy the browsing. xx
