Ladycare Magnet

Hi there - just to chip in. I have ER+ bc and after much deliberation started using a ladycare magnet. My hot flushes virtually halved overnight. I have used it for 2 1/2 months and took it off a day ago as I wanted to see if the flushes stay improved without it - the literature suggests 3 months. I had to go rescue the magnet in the night as I started having really intense hot flushes that lasted ages - I had forgotten what they were like before I was using the magnet. Yes, I feel nervous using it at one level but was assured that it was safe and it certainly seems to have some beneficial effect

regards

Tanya

I tried Magnet for 6 months and found no change at all, kept it on 24/7 nothing, but I would try anything so would not put any one off trying this.Just had lumpectomy awaiting radio therapy, and whether or not I have to have chemo first, had 20% breast taken off early days. Not sure about cold cap not strong enough at the moment will wait and see. Not sure how I feel !!!

Hello all,
Ive posted on this site before to extol the virtues of the magnet, Ive been wearing mine for 4yrs BEFORE BC,didnt need it during chemo but sweats came back with a vengeance on Femara.I think its better than sliced bread,it doesnt set anything off at the airport, its an amusing talking point amongst friends and its somewhere to hang your tweezers,nailfile,etc.(joke).Mine has seen better days now, for the last year, the blue plastic has been broken off the smallest half but it still worked. Now that bit of it has got lost but ever resourceful,Ive found it will stay in situ using a 2-pence,just hope Im not involved a road accident, dont know what A & E staff would make of that!
Love to all Mags x

Really glad to see all your helpful postings about the ladycare magnet.
Just wondered if it is only the hot flushes it has helped you with or vaginal dryness as well?

I know on the back of he pack it states it helps with this problem, which i have suffered from since mx, chemo and radio 3 years ago.

Currently on Examastene hormonal tablets and desperate to find somthing that may help me get my libido back.

Would appreciate your expert replies.

Thank you x

Hi everyone, I have not tried magnet yet but definately will if my other menopause coping strategies don’t work on Letrozole.

I am 61 and was determined to manage menopause without HRT.

Personally I found Serenity Cream helped most, a plant based progesterone based cream.

I have double checked it and is safe to use if have oestrogen related cancer, look at thier site, sorry don’t know jargon yet

I got my family to buy me a Dyson fan which is the best, has remote control so stay sleepy in bed, switch on switch off as required. lovely

Also got stock of paper fans to plave everywhere so can use to help.

I have a friend who found Sage oil capsules helped immensely.

I carried around a little mister, with cooling peppermint drop of oil in it, delightful

And also some scent free wet wipes.

I also made a little bottle of aromatherapy oils to breath in if stressed, lavender, camomile etc.

Having several strategies helped so much to feel in control and able to cope.

So I will be using all this to help me theough the hormone drug stage.

I also do reformer Pilates, as disabled lady exercise is difficult but it helps body and mind so much to find something I could do.

Of course will double check everything with medics.

And definately adding magnet to list!!!
