Hope it all went well tosay for your mum. A massive day for eveyone. Sending love and hope she doesnt feel too bad this weekend x
Thanks. I have my chemo on a Tuesday, so do you think Iāll be out of action til the Thursday each week, I know everybody is different. Iām hoping Iāll be ok and be able to have some good days over the 12 weeks x
I am thereās nothing better than sleeping in your own bed.
Its so hard to say isnt it. Over my previous 3 cycles the first 2 i had additinnal viral illnesses on top of chemo side effects but this time i seem to be āwellā and have def felt much more energised today after my Wed Pac. Still have to be careful not to overdo it when i feel ok as i get over excited!
Fingers crossed youāll get those good days in between the treatments x
Wow the fatigue is real today! I mostly had nausea before but today itās nausea + fatigue
I know the best treatment for is movement but today I could only attend to my plants, canāt do much more. Had to ask my ex to come and cook food for me, weāve made that agreement.
Any tips dealing with fatigue?
I was given this Macmillan leaflet if any help ?
Fatigue: Just rest when you need and listen to your body.
Howās everyone doing? Iām now on day 7 post my 3rd and last EC! Still feel weak and v tired but Iāve finally completed EC! I never ever thought Iād make it after the first cycle. A huge thanks to you all for your support and dragging me over the lineā¦ā¦now onto 12 weekly paclitaxel! I will be relying on you again! Xx
Thatās brilliant news, well done
Well done! It was a tough journey for you indeed!
I had same thoughts this week after my final Carboplatin (with Pac). I felt and looked so poorly that first time I thought I canāt do it anymore. But Iām feeling a bit better today, more energy and a bit more hope I can make it through another half.
Sending good vibes to everyone!
How is everyone doing?
Iāve had my second Paclitaxel today. Hoping itās easier than the first! The good news - I only have 2 more to go now I canāt wait to be finished.
I saw plastic surgeon today to discuss reconstruction options. Was all a bit overwhelming. Lots to think about. But they were so lovely and very supportive.
Hope everyone has had a good day
Well done! I had my 4th docetaxel, carboplantin and phesgo on friday, its been pretty tough but the fog is lifting a bit now! I also have 2 more to go. I think im having an mri before my next cycle and see the surgeon on 3rd June to plan surgery so like you there will be more to think about!
Hey well done on cycle 2! Iām ok just getting over the side effects of EC3! In 2 weeks moving onto 12 weekly paclitaxel x
Howās everyone doing? Iām finally getting back to life after a horrible week. They reduced my last 2 Paclitaxel doses to 70% since I started feeling numbness in my fingers and toes, fingertips also hurt like I slammed them with a door⦠The nurse said it would pass in 3-4 days.
Hope your week has been better!
I had my first of 9 weekly paclitaxel on Wednesday - I used the cold socks and gloves āSuzi padsā that I ordered from Amazon, to try and prevent peripheral neuropathy. Iāve no idea whether it will work. Has anyone else tried them?
Iāve also ordered these. I start pac in 2 weeks. How did you find your first one x
Oh no sorry youāve had a bad week. Youāre crossing off the treatments and remember you wonāt be feeling like this forever, youāll soon be finishing treatment x
How are you feeling a few days after the 2nd one? X
I was going to order them but like the cold cap, no guarantee, so iām going to ice bath hands/feet when I get home (first pac next thurs) and a couple of days after, just to feel ive done something to help.
Iām waiting for the side effects to kick in. Hoping they wonāt be as bad as the first time. Feeling quite low, worried Iāll end up in hospital again. Hair is thinning so much now (Iāve been cold capping)
How have you been feeling on your last EC? X
