March 2026 chemo starters

@catlover2 here’s my list!

100% cocoa - big spoonful every day any way you can get it down you (smoothie, hot chocolate, several brownies!). Plus a few squares of at least 80% dark chocolate daily.

Protein - I don’t eat meat or fish so this is a challenge for me, but just make sure you have a good amount of protein at each meal. I major on eggs, tofu, nuts and seeds (2 or 3 different types per day), cheese (cottage cheese is high protein but don’t go for the low fat as it tastes awful and has less protein), at least 5% fat Greek yogurt (has more protein than other types), beans and pulses.

Fruit - major on kiwis, pomegranate, cherries (fresh, frozen or dried), cranberries (dried, frozen, juice), blueberries, citrus fruit.

Other things - turmeric is meant to be good but I’d say don’t go for a supplement just try to cook with it (dhals, soups etc). Green tea (I don’t like it so I’m not very good at taking it!).

Other people may have other ideas to add but this list comes from fairly extensive research! And it’s working for me so far :crossed_fingers:
