Good luck Katie xxx
Seafront that sounds gorgeous I’d love 2 be near the sea - enjoy xx
Morning everyone,
Thanks for the responses. I got some manuka 24+ online for about £16. Pricey but worth it. I’ve been having that but the doctor also told me Junior Bonjela works well and has little alcohol in it so I’ve tried that too and it seems to have calmed the tingling down.
Managed a a full day out of bed yesterday and a 20 minute walk. Feel like I’m pulling out of round 1 misery, thank god!
Sipping tea now and about to delve into a detective novel.
Hugs to to you all x
Good to hear from you Aliog. It does get better I promise. What drugs are you on?
Ouch Mai, that sounds painful but smoothie sounds good. Wandestrong, glad you’ve got MIL helping you. My mum is staying whic helps keep things stable and calm.
Just been to the oncologist, white blood count has gone up from 3.5 last time to 5.4! So good to go for last FEC tomorrow. It looks like the AHCC is working. ?
Hi Treehouse,
I’m on six sessions of EC. That’s it, pretty straightforward really. I had my WLE and SNB in April. It wasn’t conclusive that I needed chemo but I was given the recommendation that it would help prevent recurrence so here I am. X
It must be strange having chemo after surgery. It is what I originally wanted but surgeon said otherwise. There are pros and cons for both.
It must be nice knowing that the tumour has gone and you are just mopping up any strays and reducing your risk. I guess this is like insurance for you.
Hang in there ?
Well, since my last post my temperature soared to 37.7 last night so I was admitted to hospital. By the time I arrived at the hospital they measured my temperature at 39.1! Had loads of tests all fine and being pumped with antibiotics. Waiting for another blood test to see if I need more antibiotics or can go home.
Katie, hope the taxol went well
Thanks. Will pop in on Friday after no 3 FEC
Mai7, omg I’m so sorry you are in hospital how awful for you. Let’s hope the antibiotics get you sorted quickly.

Oh no Mai7 that escalated quickly, good job you were on the ball with the temperature
and got to hospital. I’ m really bad at remembering to take mine. Fingers crossed you can go home soon xx
Oh Mai!
Sorry to hear you are in hospital on antibiotics. That was fast! Did you have any symptoms other than temp?
Hope you get home soon. Thinking of you. X hug
Thinking of you Mai x
Oh Mai7 hope your ok. Let us know how your getting on xx
First Pacitaxol went well. As it’s weekly no anti sickness meds or daily injections to bring home so bit nervous but glad it went well. Took slightly longer than EC as it is now on a drip so took about an hour for Paciltaxol, and probably hour for pre meds and extra saline after. Lets see what tonight brings xx
Glad to hear it went well Katie. All ready for my first one tomorrow - they’ve booked me in for 8am so early start.
Good luck rosie, here’s to counting down the last 8 xx
Big hugs Mai7. I hope things clear up quickly. I also hope you’ve got air conditioning! Scuse previous message, phone skipped to a random page?! Glad the taxol went well Katie. Last FEC tomorrow so I’m downing my pints. I had surgery first as big lump / small boob meant it had to go. Was a relief to have it out. X
First one done then Katie glad it’s ok so far, hope tonight goes alright for you. Have u escaped the horrid steroids being on weekly? Bit of a bummer it takes so long.
Rosie65 hope yours goes well tomorrow I’ll be thinking of you and good girl get that water down it’s such a help.
MKJ just has my last FEC also this week had it Monday. I’m glad that’s the first half done now I’m starting 2 worry about the T bit!! But never thought I’d finish FEC but have (apart from the 3 week gap in between but all the hand held injections and bright red syringes gosh they are big aren’t they. I but the nurses dread seeing FEC on their list of treatments for the day. My nurse said it does ache her back a little.
Thanks ladies, I’m doing fine, temperature is back down to 37 but still waiting for consultant for blood results and whether I can leave today. I didn’t have any symptoms last night so the high temperature was quite unexpected. I’d had haemorrhoid soreness but no other ailments. We’d had a lovely day out walking and I just felt s bit chilly when I got in bed so my partner told me to take my temperature, thank goodness he noticed me being shivery more than I did! It just shows being strict about regular temperature monitoring is important and having someone with you to observe changes in you which you wouldn’t notice is important too. The funny thing is that I’ve booked this week off on holiday and have spent more time in hospital than ever! Maybe working keeps me on track better! The silver lining is that we had a new carpet fitted on the stairs today which will be waiting for me when I get home.
Katie, glad you’re OK after Taxol
Rosie, MJK, hope your treatments go well.
MJK, I’m by a window with a huge fan blowing right next to me!
