My husband and I are considering retirement and moving to Portugal within the next 2-3 years (within the 5 year period following my lumpectomy in 2023). I know that I will need comprehensive health insurance. I’d be really grateful for any advice people may have on getting insurance and accessing services for breast cancer in the EU and ideally Portugal. Thank you.

I can’t comment on health care in Portugal, I’m sure somebody will be able to do so.
But I wanted to point you to this thread with a BCN live about travel insurance and some providers.
You may want to talk it through with a BCN nurse who may have information on this subject.
