Whoop whoop …chemo is over so celebrate …you have done the hard bit …the op should be routine depending on what u have and rads are just tiring as u have to go everyday .
But you will begin to feel the normal person coming back again very soon.
Hold on there …let your body tell you when it needs to rest .

I’m having a lumpectomy Carolyn and they say one lymph node out …last MRI told be tumour hadn’t moved it was still contained …tumour had reduced from 5 to 2 that was back in November …I’m due a next MRI before surgery …hooding it’s gone altogether xxx
That sounds good …a lumpectomy is the easier option with minimal evasion . I had mine 2004 …in and out of hospital in a couple of days …normal bra etc.
Here’s hoping the lump is reduced with having chemo first . I had five weeks rads after …not a mark or need for any cream …just a little tired .

Wow …things have moved on with day care which is so much easier …
Love the cake idea too …you sound like you have very supportive work colleagues and it does help the journey. With all the treatments its about eight months and I went back to work full time and moved on …a few years later I got a tattoo …it’s betty boop holding the pink breast care ribbon …it did hurt !!!

I’ve been back at work since November just have time out when chemo is given …needed normality so work helped me…xxx

Hope your well ? My surgery is Monday got to be there for 8am had my pre op the other week which went well … told me I’ll be in over night due to having a drain I’m scheduled for a lumpectomy … xxx

Don’t worry …the lumpectomy is easy …the drainage tube a bit uncomfy but not in for long.

Just dipping in to see how you both are now you belong to the lopsided lumpectomy club!
I’m sure you are both coping and ready to face the world again.
You will probably get a few twinges and think the surgeon has left his clips or scalpel in the wound …I did …but it does get better and remember u have had invasive surgery and tissue and nerves cut .

So glad u r ok …actually think u did the treatment in the better order …got the chemo done first whilst u were fit and strong …just rads to go now ? A bit tiring going everyday for four / five weeks but easy peasy lemon squeezy as the final bout !! I actually didn’t get any probs at all …didn’t even need aqueous cream they supplied for itchy skin.

Three weeks of rads will soon go by and its a lovely feeling then not having any hospital trips but somehow you can feel a little insecure for a while !!
I think …not sure but the fingers and toe things are caused by the chemo taxotere you had recently as I have friends that had that too …I had different chemo.
Hopefully it will soon pass .

Not happy Carole they keep deferring the radiotherapy need to plan again I just want it over now …and I go away 27th as my celebration holiday it’s stressing me my blocks might fall into my holiday …xx on the whole though I’m doing really well hairs jet black and my lashes are so long eyebrows …back to threading yeahhhhhhh xx
Wow …sounds like u are doing well …rads are a tie as its everyday but its the final bit to face. Are you off to Australia or just a short haul?
Glad u have your hair back too …it’s just the process of feeling normal and not having to dash back in the house for scarf or wig when in a hurry !!!

I’m doing really well my hair has come back darker Curley had 3 cuts already ?Little down other week as they have changed my tablets I’m now on tamoxifen …making me put weight on feel a little frumpy but you know what I’m cancer free and I’m happy ???
So pleased that you have moved on and back into life again after the bc hiccup !!
Hair never returns quite the same as before but having it back helps feel normal again.
Tamoxifen does give some of us a bit of a do nut waistline but it’s a very important little pill to take to protect u from anymore little invaders. .
