New breast cancer diagnosis, health anxiety, a billion questions

Sorry the follow up is so long afterwards. Having your surgery just before Christmas could be part of the issue, in that the lab staff and breast surgeon team could be on holiday at different times and that could cause a delay. I had my biopsy just before Easter and my surgery on 5 July, both were impacted by holidays.

After my bilateral lumpectomy, the surgeon saw me before they went home and said the surgery went well. They were happy with the clear margins they could see and the labs would say if they were big enough. For me they were.

Please call the nurses on 0808 8006000 to chat if you need Mon-Fri 9-4 Sat 9-1. MacMillan have a helpline 7 days a week 8-8 0808 800000.

i love the idea of a messy funky bob, and I may even have one. I wish I had eyes in the back of my head so I could see it properly…

I leaned a lot on plant-based options after meds kept letting me down, and ibd natural treatment ended up giving me steadier days with less pain and stress. It didn’t replace my regular care, but it filled a gap I couldn’t ignore. If you’re stuck feeling like you’ve tried everything, it might be worth a look.
