Morning @rfg thank you for your honesty , I share many of your thoughts and you have opened up in the way you should and in such a powerful way
This is such a real situation that we are living with and fighting against
There is so much tricky navigation around us , the treatment the effects , the emotional turmoil , unanswered questions - you have been perfectly honest and I salute you for that . This forum is the safe place to do it
Apologies to the rest of the group a lengthy response post I created did not land onto the group
Sending you all love , continued strength , a peaceful day and the best Christmas you can have - you all deserve that . Big virtual hugs
Merry Christmas everyone, I hope youāve all been able to have at least a few minutes today where you could put aside your symptoms and be in the moment. Love to you all. x
You too. I must admit, I have felt quite mellow today. Bit of an odd oneā¦ xx
Good luck for tomorrow - assuming you are going ahead. Iām a week behind you so will be following how you do with interest. Good luck also to anyone else heading into the chemo chair tomorrow. Will be thinking of you. xx
Thankyou so much!! Yes going ahead tomorrow. I will definitely keep you posted how it makes me feel in comparison to the EC. Hope everyone has managed to enjoy their Christmas with their families xx
Hi all, Iām going on holiday tomorrow, and just wanted to mention that InsureandGo were great in case anyone else is considering a trip abroad during treatment. I remember having an absolute nightmare getting insurance to take my mum to SA during treatment 15 years ago, but things have obviously moved on since then. Iāve paid 30 quid for a week in Finland with full consideration for the fact that Iām undergoing treatment. x
Have a lovely time - and wrap up warm! Thanks for the tip. xx
Hi hope you are all ok & have managed to enjoy Christmas with your loved 1s!
I have completed 3 rounds of EC & today have had my 1st round of 3 of Docetaxel. When I got there the nurse told me that I could only have it given at 75% because my liver ALTās were high & also bilirubin was high so both liver related. Has anyone else been told this during their treatment? I donāt feel bad tonight Iām just tired because I didnāt sleep a wink last night because of the effects of the steroids xx
Well done on getting through the first Docetaxel - two thirds of the way there now. I hope you get some sleep today and donāt feet too bad. Take it easy. xx
Aww Thankyou Iām just anticipating what symptoms I will get from this 1, up to now I feel ok but my steroids finish this afternoon then I suppose things might change!! Iāll keep you posted. Yes Iām glad I only have 2 more rounds to go!!! Itās seemed like a long time coming!!! X
Fantastic new years eve. Still waiting at 5pm for a oncologist telephone appointment scheduled for 930 am this morning.
Thatās rubbish! I have a call tomorrow. Hope you hear from them soon. x
Nyd wow. Didnt think theyd be making calls that day. Totally fed up theyve not been in touch. Call was 2 hrs late last time but at least i got it. Im 10 weeks into 12 on friday and have question to ask.
Yes, apparently so! I had my blood tests done today - I was one of three having them done! But they were doing chemo today. 10 into 12 sounds like you are so closeā¦
Getting there. Its been a long haul as i guess all us November starters are feeling it right now. Think radiotherapy will start shortly afterā¦ one of my unanswered questions today
Iāve got three to go - so halfway. Iām definitely feeling it though.
Im weekly paclitaxel and 3 weekly herceptin. Tbf its manageable. Rough over weekend after Fridays infusion with insomnia. Hope you are managing to get through it xxx
Itās been ok thanks. I had three EC and now moving onto three Docetaxel, which Iām dreading. Mostly just tiredness that doesnāt go away and side effects from the evil Filgrastim injections. xx
@flojo bless you. Hope you are not too badā¦ its a strong one by sounds of it. Wishing you the very best of luck x
Happy New Year all of you amazing Women!
I had my last EC on Monday then move to Docetaxel and PHESGO on 13th.
Iām curious as to why most women on here seem to be having 3 cycles of each and I am having four of each. Iām also curious to understand why my EC had two week gap, and the next regime has three week gap. Is it because itās tougher on the body? I had hoped that because EC is known as Red Devil, that the second regime would be betterā¦
By the time I finish it will me mid to late March! Then surgery and radiotherapy and I think all the hormone stuff too that I havent got to grips with. The oncologist appointments are so fast and unless I have my notebook with me (which annoyingly I didnāt take the last couple of visits) I forget to ask all these questions - they seem to assume you will just inderstand it all because its what they do day in day out.
