Just catching up on last night’s posts and chuckling away. Loving the idea of the Russian call girl ?. I still can’t get my head around a wig but I’m sure the tide will turn. Maybe I should treat myself to a smooth glossy bright colour. It’d be a massive change from my mousey curly mess.

I was feeling brave so went out to the pub, had a coke and felt sick as a pig. Should have known really, not dealing with sweet stuff very well. That’ll teach me!

Morning all! Just popping in before work to see how you’re all doing. Dizzie, I too didn’t really fancy sweet stuff either (apart from a few biscuits) for about a week, not such a bad thing though!

Tk maxx if you’ve got one near you have good range of winter hats it if you want something other than beanie. Think I might be looking at Thursday or Friday, my counts are not recovering quick. woke up far far to early today considering I was late to bed! Have woken up with strange burny feeling in my stomach…not sure what that is? Did have some nachos last nite that had jalapeños on so maybe it’s that? Really not liking being in control of my own body!
Anyway off out for lunch with my sister in law today before she travels back home, think she’s worried about leaving me as will be home alone for next 2 nights but I feel fine and have lots of people to call on if I need to!!

Morning all. How are we all? Sorry to hear you’re still in casa NHS Shi. Hope those blood levels come up soon.
I am having chemo first then surgery and rads. Also have genetic testing coming up in 2 weeks to see if I have the faulty gene which will affect what kind of surgery they decide to do.
Feeling ok today but a bit tired. Had a couple of busy days so I think it’s telling me to chill out for a bit. Chemo 2 coming up on Thursday.
Until I started to lose my hair i never appreciated how much hair you actually have on your head! It’s everywhere yet there’s still some on my head. Just been for a walk with the dog in the wind so that probably got rid of some lol.

Had a really lazy day yesterday. Hubby took the day off and we just lazed around reading and listening to music all day. Wondered if I would struggle to sleep last night as a result but no problem. We’d had a busy weekend so I think we needed to kick back for a day.
Collecting my wig this afternoon, bit nervous because I know the style but not the colour. I tried it in a grey blond and she said that it came in a blond close to my natural colour.
Need to crack on with some housework today but not feeling particularly motivated. Going to work on Thursday & Friday then Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning so I need to get everything shipshape before chemo 2 next week. Maybe a cuppa first…
Well done sue, I want tips please as district nurses came at varying times to do mine so I need to do myself next time same time every day as dontvthink that’s helped me this round. Whytefawn, on hand if you need any pre and post op tips from me when you get to that bit. I am just waiting for mine to start falling out, can be upto day 19 before it starts I think. The ice meant I didn’t feel it as did the fine needle the worst bit was actually doing it and now I feel silly because it is doable and feel even sillier because my husband is type 1 diabetic and has been injecting every day for nearly 35 years but I waited til he went to work had to do it on my own even though he offered. sorry my first post this morning did not even greet you all I was in panic mode but now would like to say morning and have read your posts xx
Chaffinch I left the shop in my wig decided best get it done with and to be quite honest I felt great and think it helped x

Just been talking about my hair…ran my hands thru it and loads came out! It’s on it’s way out obviously! Now wondering if I should have it shaved in the pub on Friday??!!xx
Karana I can’t advise on that as I shaved mine a while ago for brave the shave but other ladies have said it is less traumatic if it is shorter when the loss starts but hair seems to be so personal x
