finally Home, thank you all so much, dizzy great news your bloods all ok, really pleased for you. Karana, i’m Clippering mine off on Friday, just in case I end up back in casa nhs, that really upset me yesterday when I thought I’d have to do it there instead of by myself at home, you do what you want your way, it’s your hair ???I’ve got a big pile of washing to do and I am so happy to put the washing on ???it’s like winning the lottery. Chaffinch what day are you on now? This is last day of chemo 1 for me back in for second dose tomorrow. Moat of my hair has gone there’s just a light covering now. My scalp is starting to get a little sore especially round the crown where pretty much all the hair has gone. Been wearing soft caps most if the day. I got a sleep cap off Amazon I think it was about 6 or 7 quid. Not expensive but it’s really comfortable. Might go and buy a couple more. Wore my bakerboy hat out to tea tonight. Felt a bit daft but I’m sure I’ll get use to it lol

Chaffinch, I’ve been worried about that too! One of the girls was quite surprised when I told her how quickly it can fall out, although I think she’s expecting me to go bald overnight ?Luckily at the moment seems like cold cap might have worked a bit. I’m still losing some hair (but not in handfuls) so we’ll see if it hangs around for the duration.
Karana, My Norfolk hairy legs are still intact too! 
Day 15 for me so expecting it to start any day now. Still seems unreal, can’t wait for hairy legs to be smooth again, but having held out so far I will stick it out! Silly how conditioned we are with these things but it just feels wrong which is mad, we naturally have all of this hair so why can’t we wait to lose it but get upset about losing our head hair. We are victims of customs and fashion ?

Evening lovely ladies what have I missed?
Hooray for the PICC (only in chemoland do you cheer when you have a plastic tube in your veins that practically reaches your heart!). Third time lucky with the consultant radiologist and second vein tried. Apparently the usual vein they like to use is a bit too bendy in my case!! Seems like it is a good job the nurse didn’t try any harder yesterday or she would have ruptured a vein and caused quite major internal bleeding!!! So all set and ready for chemo tomorrow.
Cassie come and visit me in the carriage behind if you get the chance ?
Dancing to the radiologist seems to have done the trick so am going to dance my way to chemo now ??? (The bee gees and staying alive seems a suitable sound track) I have decided that I will fully embrace the power of positive thinking and sparkles

My shaver is a Braun silk epic, it’s pink and white and got it from sainsburys, good for underarms and legs for those who have had our ops before chemo. Good luck tomorrow Cassie. Just read my discharge paper work and it was neutropenic sepsis!!! They just told me I was neutropenic while I was in there with high risk of sepsis, not that I actually had it, and there is another 5 round of this to get through???so please ladies anything you don’t feel is right even without a temp rapid response Make that fuss as it could save your life, better to keep safe on the chemo train and all get through keeping each other safe???shi xx

Chemo 2 went smoothly and quicker than the 1st. The onc told me i was not neutropenic when in hospital and they only lep me in as a precaution - it was the weekend and specialist nurse wasnt in til Monday! Anyway round 2 now and i am well equipped. Feeling a bit sickly and tired so tucked up in bed watching tv!
I am actually loving my number 4 haircut and wig and now realise that fellas definitely get the easier deal on the hair front!
Marg if the don peridone dont work ask for cyclizine - it worked for me. Hope you feel much netter soon xc
