I was told to tell them straight away about sickness as it’s harder to stop once it starts than preventing it in the first place! although it now sounds like you’re getting it sorted ? Hope you feel better soon.
SueW, I also had 3 days of meds to take after chemo, didn’t really suffer with tiredness I was just really anxious & jittery when I came off meds. Just listen to what your body needs and rest if you need it! No-one will mind you snoozing ?

Thanks everyone, I’ve still got to be vigilant as still on the very low side, but yeeehhhhh going Home, I hope with all my heart none of you end up in casa nhs for any lengthy periods, but know this the ladies on these forums will pull you through with, love, laughter, kindness and care, you will never feel alone and even when it gets scarey if they tell you you are at high risk of sepsis infection like they did me, the ladies here will keep you strong even on wobble days ( day 5 was my wobble day yesterday) love you all and we are on the chemo train together and we will make sure we all get to end of this and the rads and any ops anyone has yet to take. Reboot I got turbans and sleep caps on eBay really cheap but depends on how quick you want them x
I also went into city centre and got some bandanas from Claire’s accessories x
I also got a cheap thermal beany hat from Tesco x but started ordering a while ago so I was prepared x
Still convinced when I go bald I will look like dementia from the Addams family but I am cool with that ?x

Lol I think I actually have dementia sometimes I have conversations with myself where I am out the othersde and my hair has grown back beautifully and I am about to go on holiday to celebrate x

Lol sue welcome to chemo brain, I wrote out a recipe for my mum before my casa nhs stay and wrote flour as flower, Mum said when I passed it to her, how do you spell flour? I said flour, she said then why have a spelt it flower???chemo brain, blame it all on chemo brain now, it’s allowed ???love shi xx
My hair survived the wash, blow dry and even a quick whip with the straighteners, although I had very hairy body and legs by the time I finished ? I’m now seriously debating having it shaved on Friday during my Big Pink Day…I think I wld deal with that better than having it done privately then having to face customers!!! Some people think this is a mad idea but I quite like being mad!!
Big congrats Shi but please take it easy as you don’t want to end up back there!!! Definitely think all our sparkles helped ???

Ace news on coming home Shi!
Haven’t had chance to catch up today but hope everyone is well.
After feeling fished all night with a higher temperature I went in to have my bloods checks earlier. Feels like I have flu but apparently it’s a side effect of having the WBC boost injection. Bloods came back fine so quite relieved but still feeling flu-y and knackered. Here’s hoping for a good day 7.

My hair is still firmly in place. Feel a bit tingly, not sure if that’s all the hair follicles about to release at once. I suspect it will happen at about 9am tomorrow as I sit down at my desk for the first time in 17 days!
