Hi Mishy, i’m having fecx6 and cold capping, not sure if it’ll work but it’s all still there on day 19 after chemo 1 and not ?:female_sign: for the hills yet so ??If it does go it’s doubtful that mine’ll start growing back before last chemo as I think fec is tougher on hair than t 
but I’m sure those going through fec-t will be glad to hear your good news re: hair growth, so thanks for sharing your experience with us. It is nice to hear from ladies on earlier chemo ? than us as it’s very reassuring and gives us hope!
I advise if you can’t cope with shedding to go for the shave makes the whole experience alot less traumatic it’s almost a relief when you don’t have to watch it happen as it can last up to 5 days it really upset me when it happened I finally shaved after 4 days xx
Yeah mine made a slow return after 1st Doxetaxal I’m on round 5 I’ll cross everything for you the cold cap works a lady on the July thread has kept all her hair throughout treatment had the fec t also so good luck with it ?
Shi, I’m just impatient! After surgery I was a nightmare, had a meltdown when swelling hadn’t gone down by day 3 after surgery?. OH had to explain to bcn that I am just not used to being incapacitated and had never had any sort of injury before! So not keen on liver but will eat it and anything else that gives any sort of chance of keeping me from missing my chemo ?!
SueW, did you ask bcn about problem with your underarm and cording suspicion? I was going to ask you earlier? When did you have surgery? I thought I was going to end up with a cording issue as it felt like that for a while after surgery but is ok now, so may just take a while (again just my impatience)!?
Runnerbean, mines still hanging on in there day 17 but did grade 4 on Thursday and that has helped for sure. Stick a bit of dry shampoo on it rather than wash, gives it ooommph and bounce without having to risk it in the shower. Ive had a right wig meltdown today…went out with my wig on to have lunch and do a bit of shopping, caught a glimpse of myself and hated it! I think because it’s short it’s quite bouffanty and even tho I’ve had it trimmed there is only so such you can do with it, I feel a bit like an old lady ? Anyway I went to a weird shop that sells make up etc and got a long wig that I can put in a ponytail…feel a bit more comfortable in that but not great! As for hats couldn’t find anything suitable so gonna look at cosifits now!!

Hi Karana, well done over £2000 that’s fantastic! I’m just hoping that this cold cap works! I’ve yet to get my wig trimmed but mine is short too so there is only so much you can do with it. I also worry I’ll look like an old lady! Hats, I’m finding are either too big or make me look like a pea head, don’t seem to be able to get a happy medium. ?
I have a slouchy hat I crocheted last winter which I’ve been wearing but it doesn’t go with everything so may have to make some more ?
Meesh, same here with the pea head in the hats, but at least we can stick a beanie of something on and over the wigs, it just looks normal and you won’t get hat hair with the wig you just take it off in the loo shake it blood it out a bit and no hat hair. I think of our friends from the May thread they didn’t have option of a beanie in the height of summer like we do. Is Oct girls with pea heads are with each other and find ourselves in the same pod?shi xx

When I shake my short wig and put it on I look like rod Stewart! Everyone that’s watched the video of me having my head shaved (yes I did put it on Facebook) said I look fine with no wig but I’m not sure and it’s chilly !

Is anyone panicking about chemo 2 yet…mines on Wed and I’m worrying a bit,in fact I think I’m worse than I was for first one…is that coz I’ve got an emotional chemo brain now ?

Hi Karana, mine is Tuesday (so you can climb in the carriage behind me) and I’m also starting to worry now! I’m worried that I’ll suffer more this time, as I was fairly good last time. At least we’ll be a third of the way through though ?
Yes that’s exactly why I’m worried ? but I will jump in the carriage behind you and hopefully we will have another smooth ride ?
My hair comes out if I run my fingers through it at the moment. Staying in a hotel tonight, so what’s the betting that it will be on my pillow by morning?
My dad suffered terribly with hiccups when he had chemo earlier this year.
Hope that all you round two people have a better day tomorrow. Last time I felt better by about day 5. Not looking forward to starting at square one again on Wednesday myself.
Off to see my parents in the morning then heading home ready for a busy week.

Although my hair was doing that too Chaffinch i didn’t have any on my pillow just when I brushed it or touched it…I then kept pulling it out coz I was amazed how easily it came out ?

My hubby gets annoyed every time I pull some out, I think it freaks him out a bit, but I find it quite amusing especially because it annoys him ?
