Chemo went ok, for those starting the anxiety of not knowing is worse than the event!
Feeling hungover this morning and just taken my cocktail of anti sickness tablets - oh the joy!

@dilly completely agree about the Asda adaptive clothing- size down it’s very generous! I got the hoodie to wear to chemo but got too hot and had to take it off anyway

Hello to everyone who has joined since I was being a negative Nancy the other week, all got a bit too much, but was feeling a bit brighter today and throught I’d pop on here. 
lots to catch up on.
Saw surgeon yesterday, 24 WEEKS since 1st op and I just needed some answer to help me process and move on.
He has lost of Qs to take to the next MDT meeting. Seeing my onc nurse on Monday now, so might get a new date for chemo 
Read in another forum about a little goodie box you can apply for: [https://www.littlelifts.org.uk/] something to brighten the shitty days.
And I got my wig! Lady rang yesterday morning and squeezed me in before her clinic!
Brought myself some suzzipads thank you for posting about them, comprehension gloves and socks. Trip to shop for lollipops next.
Thank you for all your kind thoughts, meant lot when I was sitting on my toadstool feeling sorry for myself.

My hospital hands out the Little Lifts boxes, I got mine at my first chemo! They are really, really lovely and made me unexpectedly emotional. Full of gorgeous things, including a dark chocolate bar that I ate in defiance through my sleepless steroid nights lol

Love the wig! Did you wait until you got your prescription to get it? I’ve not had any info on prescription and don’t want to go and pay for one if I then get it through!
@loupy I got it through the hospital. My breast nurse referred me.
The prescription charge for my area is £80.15. She is able to order in brands like this one by Raquel Welch
Top tip- Do some YouTubing as there are lots of channels that review colours and styles.
This one is Simmer in iced pumpkin spice SS (shadow shade)- that means it has a root. I felt that it made it look more natural as I’m a brunette.

Lovely wig. Unfortunately my nhs Trust dont have a wig service so i will have to get one privately. I may be getting a second hand one to try through a charity, so i will see how that goes.
Yesterday and today i have been tearful, a proper negative nancy, everytime i think about the chemo. I start tomorrow. I hope thay are used to people crying 
. I need to get the first one over with. I was the same with the first surgery. Hopefully i will feel better this time tomorrow. Emotionally at least, though maybe not physically.

@nastynork the first one is so scary because of what it is, what it signifies and all the unknowns, but I found the reality was really ok and doable. You’re not alone, we are all here behind you x

@nastynork check out PrelovedRel0ved on Instagram - this lovely lady sends out donated wigs to people who need them, with just a suggested postage donation.
I hope tomorrow goes ok, it’s an awful anxiety ridden time. But the unknown is the worst, once you are there the nurses will take good care of you.

Yes preloved reloved is the charity who are sending me one to try. She also has lots of headscarfs turbans etc. And coldcapping kits.

I’m so encouraged by you guys - I’m day 8 today (docetaxel+ cyclophosphamide) so happy to hear you both have positive experience from day 10 onwards

Docetaxel and Cyclophosphamide TC are my cocktail chemo combo. Day 10 seems to be the magic number. There is an end and turnaround of feeling better

It makes me mad things like this are a postcode lottery! Everyone should have the same care!! Hope all goes well tomorrow @nastynork. You will be looked after, I cried at my first go at chemo the other week
